This is the best branch of Wimpy and the only one I go to as the food and service is always good. I've been going here for over 20 years and it's the same family running it and they are very welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

I dropped in after gym, havent been for years. But found myself paying 12.35 for a quarter cheese meal..... i should have left before paying, as it was nearly twice the price of mcdonalds and not very good: basic burger with standard sauce, hardly any cheese and NO pickles ! :( Really confused about why people eat here at all, its the blandest catering to the lowest common denominator. Just completely uninspired really. I mean, fir a start how about putting some proper cheese on the burgers and some pickles ? Is that too much to ask ? Britains high streets deserve better than this.

I tried to give it a go, as I had positive experiences with other wimpy restaurants. I have a disability and I was being stared at like I was a criminal. The staff acknowledged my presence and after 10-15 minutes nobody came to ask about an order so I left. Never felt that unwelcome in a restaurant before so I will not be returning.

Wimpys is such a nostalgic place I come here a lot it’s a meet up place for brunch lunch for me and my friends we sit in here for ages chatting and enjoying the lovely food the staff are really friendly and always have a quick chat with the customers!

Lovely meal in the Wimpy Bar in Streatham there's not many of them about now so it was lovely to visit this one and it didn't disappoint. The food was just as I remember it from years ago and the staff are really nice and friendly. Definitely recommend this place to eat.

Its the 80's ... we do not care, we love it. The British staple is still going and needs to stay put. Good comfort food menu, ALL day breakfast and the chips are better than Mackie Ds. We have had take out and delivery.

Nostalgic feels!!! Simple burger with fresh ingredients. They also have breakfast menu like pancakes, sausages, hash brown. Great value for money too!

All Wimpy's are not what they were. However, I am talking 70's in comparison 😊. Nice fries. All clean and tidy and very friendly service. I sm sure it was the same bloke who served me when I was in my teens (but he was a lot younger as well).

This is one of the few Wimpy restaurants left in London. The same staff have been there for more than 35 years, I have always found it to be a clean and friendly place to go. It is a little bit dearer than other burger venues having said that, the food does fill you up for longer and it is more tastier.

I am usually a big wimpy fan but yesterdays delivery I received was obnoxious, the cheese burgers were very dry and I can't even begin to describe how poor the chips were. Both my portion of chips were so not edible that me and my son had to only eat half our burgers so after spending over £15 we only had half a burger each and were left so hungry you can decide for yourselves from the pic I have posted. So so disappointed and will never order from here again which is a shame as I have been coming here as a kid and now in my 30s.

I have been coming to this restaurant all of my life, run by the same people. They remember you. Great tasting food, reasonably priced and speedy service.

Food review. Take me back to the 90s with this old school memories of being a child. The food was great retro and tasty. I had the original burger with the special sauce and it tasted like how it did when I was just a young nipper. Fries were crisps and so good. A bit pricey but it is a wimpy and I was happy to pay the price for a childhood memory. Customer service was on point and very friendly. Food come on time with no issues. The lady who served me was very helpful and the old man I guess the franchise owner is always friendly and full of cheer. I definitely will be returning with family and friends.

It was our first time at Wimpi after 24+years in London. Can't forgive myself. Absolute little gem of a place. It's clean and welcoming. The food was great, plenty and very tasty. The price is reasonable. The place seems to include the previous generation as staff which is great. It gives it a special "vibe". The UK version of the American dinner. Simple, unpretentious, good people. We're going back.

Me and my family went to get breakfast . The food was really nice but the bad thing was that the only waitress that was there was very very rude she always rolled her eyes when i talked to her. Me and my family will never go there again.

Please check vinegar when you sit to eat after a incident with flies in it in the summer I went back again today 19/11/22 and still there are 4 flies in the vinegar couldn't eat my food as I was put off but still was charged for the food all they say is sorry its not our fault ermm yes it really is never again

Was extremely disappointed to say the least ... to sum it up Wimpy is just a glorified greasy spoon cafe minus the popular chain name however I liked the fact that they served free range eggs. Staff were polite The burger was awful, sausages were AWFUL, very poor quality , low meat content kind, gristle and all. The decor was quite drab and depressing which surprised me. Also we had a dead fly accompany us on the table... I requested to swap the baked beans for fries but they denied - fine. Was charged £3 for a side plate of fries. I'll add I have never been charged extra or swapping cheap items from other local cafes, so take from that as you wish. Waste of £20...never again

I like going to Wimpy in streatham, it's a good place to go when I want to get out of the house. I like that I can sit and eat or just have a cup of tea without been rushed and I also like that they have a clean toilet you can use, The staffs are friendly and I have never had a problem. I like sitting and watching people going too and fro, the atmosphere is good.

I was searching for a wimpey for ages and decided to try the one in Streatham. It bought back a lot of memories for me and it still had the same taste as I remember from years ago. I will definitely try another branch in London before they all get closed down with the rise of the expensive coffee shops it seems that the age of the original wimpey bar is now becoming a thing of the past which is a shame. Give me a wimpey any day over any other burger company. Thanks for the memories guys.

A shadow of it's former self. Wimpy was never the greatest, but this place is sad, reduced to a greasy spoon cafe. Don't go unless you want your childhood ruined.

A place I have been going for years spent thousands from the age of 14 been familiar with wimpy and now 58 still go there with my friend my children over the years had quite a few wimpy birthday party over the years when my children were younger friendly kind helpful manager friendly helpful staff clean environment and love my free sweets both there and deliveries through just eats or deliveroo will support for as long as ever thank you Mr Wimpy my son loves it to

The food was okay. The server doesn' t give us time to sit down straight down to business. "Are we ready ready to order? " As she saw we were just about to sit down. Food was rather overpriced.

Waste of £40. Got it delivered from Uber eats. Very disappointed. Not as I remembered it! The chicken wrap was so dry I chocked. The cold burger was not worth £8. The best bit about this meal was when I buy it in the bin.

I have fond memories of eating at Wimpy as a child - I'm not sure if my standards have increased or theirs have slipped, but this was truly dire. The burgers are thin, dry and tough - like shoe leather, served in a basic bun with some limp lettuce and a slice of tomato which is way too thick. The restaurant interior itself is depressing with horrible fluorescent strip lighting, outdated and inconsistent branding, and dirty laminated menus. Prices are a fair bit more expensive than McDonalds, and the food is significantly substandard in quality. Old school, in the worst way possible. Avoid.

I've been coming here since I was little, they've been giving good service for almost 40 years! I'm always here. They know my "usual" order. They are super friendly and will always ask how your doing. Good food.

Food was delivered fast by Just eat plus it was hot..Chicken strips were excellent however the gourmet chicken burger was awful and dry.Vanilla milkshake was not thick dvertised.

Back in 1986/7 me and a dumb friend ran away from here without paying. A few weeks later Kamel grabbed me outside, dragged me in the Wimpy and gave me the hiding of my life. 34 years later I never forgot that lesson. The guy just trying to make a living and a little teenage git like me goes and does that. Next time I'm in London I will pop in.

Wimpy was part of my childhood 'iconic' burger haunts and this was one of the once numerous cafes for a Knickerblocaglory (or that was how I pronounced it when I was a child. Lol) sundae, burger and chips which my uncle would treat me to and that 50's style seating. I saw the owner standing at the entrance so I mentioned taking the photo for Google Local Guides. Worth visiting just to say hi to the Chef/Owner.

The Wimpy on Streatham High Road is an institution, a time capsule harking back to a bygone era, though well suited to modern day exigencies, with its (wipe clean) table service and admonishment of disposable fast food culture. The service is friendly, familial. I really like the fried onions.

There aren't many of these left, this is a great example of a Wimpy Restaurant, same family run for decades. Same good service with a smile and the food is very good standard too.

I have been waiting for over 30 years to eat this again but it was not how I remembered it to be I was very disappointed, the fries where tasteless and the BBQ burger was dry if I could give zero stars I would have.
