Absolutely disgraceful. I got severe food poisoning after eating at Pret A Manger in Clapham Common on the 23rd of December at around 9:30AM. I purchased an Avo, Olive and Toms baguette and a Smoked Salmon and Egg Mayo baguette, which I now deeply regret. Not only did it leave me violently ill, but the response from Pret has been nothing short of shameful. It also ruined my entire Christmas and New Years. It has been nearly a month, and they still haven’t concluded their so-called “investigation.” Even with multiple follow ups. How can it possibly take this long? The lack of urgency and responsibility is shocking for a company that claims to care about the quality of its food and its customers’ well-being. At this point, it feels like they’re dragging their feet and hoping I’ll just give up. Food safety should be your absolute priority, yet it’s clear this branch has no idea how to manage it. To make matters worse, Pret’s customer service has been infuriatingly slow, dismissive, and completely unwilling to offer any meaningful updates or resolution. This is unacceptable. You’ve not only endangered my health but also wasted my time with your incompetence. I would strongly urge everyone to avoid this branch entirely—if they can’t serve safe food or take swift action when something goes wrong, they have no business operating. Sort yourselves out, Pret. This level of negligence is outrageous and more importantly, dangerous.

I’ve always enjoyed Pret A Manger for their high-quality coffee, but my recent visit was made even better by the exceptional service from Junaed. Not only was the coffee perfectly brewed—rich, smooth, and just the way I like it—but Junaed’s professionalism and friendly attitude made the experience stand out. He was attentive, quick to take care of my order, and made sure everything was spot on. It’s clear he takes pride in providing excellent service, and it really enhances the overall atmosphere of the café. If you’re looking for great coffee paired with top-tier service, Junaed at Pret A Manger is the one to look out for. Highly recommend!

Very calm here, plenty of seating, friendly service, cinnamon whirls are great

I'm a regular here, come in nearly every day to work or get a white filter to take away. It's basically the same as any Pret, but I'm really impressed with the staff here. Always fast and friendly service. A few days ago I forgot my backpack and had left it there for a couple hours, but they noticed and kept an eye on it for me. I really expected it to be gone when I came back looking for it, and it probably would have been without attentive baristas, so just want to give them a shout out and express my appreciation.

Just so SLOW. Like three people taking orders and no dedicated barista.

People who have zero customer service skills, do not want to serve people and have no itrest in doing the job properly. Coffee is made with no skill that a basic barista should have. This most defiantly due to ownership/ management who are incompetent in hiring, training and developing staff. Either way worse pret by a mile

I was given the wrong order. I called the store but the manager and assistant manger were not in so I had speak to a barista instead who refused to say her name or help me. I wasted my money on an order that’s not mine and more importantly Pret needs to understand that if you start sending the wrong orders to people and they don’t check someone could have a serious allergic reaction. This particular Pret seldom opens less than 15 minutes after stated opening times. They'll open late, not have the coffee you want and do all of this in a hurried and impolite manner. New management required URGENTLY.

Unfortunately every single coffee I have ordered lately has been below standard! Its a waste of money, the staff have unwelcoming attitude what a shame!

Good set up. Can get a little busy during peak but that is to be expected.

Toilet still broken after 6 months. Sure the staff one upstairs (that used to be for the public) is fine. EDIT - 3 months later toilet still out of order!

By far the worst pret I’ve been to and I’m a big fan of Pret in general - I’ve had the subscription for a long time. The service here is enough to make me want to walk to the next branch. It’s impossibly slow, sometimes I wait 20 minutes for my order. There’s always a group of 10-30 people waiting for their coffees. Orders constantly wrong and customers complaining. Get better staff here please

The sandwiches have got smaller. The bread is now like the cheapest bread in the supermarket. All done silently.

Sometimes it amazes me why some people work in a customer facing role yet not only have zero skills but take it one step further and are positively unnecessarily rude to customers. Won't be going to this pret again until they learn basic customer service skills.

The croissant was so burned, almost charred, that I took a photo of it as proof. I couldn't ear it. Complete waste of money!

First off all opens very late, second of all asked for a cold coffee and got given a hot coffee and no apology or replacement given and it was not a takeaway so plenty of time to sort it

We opened a restaurant near by, ive been coming regularly and without Paolo the energy isn't the same, he's smiling all the time and it's a pleasure to enter the store!

Surely, this has to be the most efficient Pret in London. Fastest staff for drinks and service and they seem to manage to have a bit of a laugh as well. Makes me resent having to visit any of the others. Thank you Clapham Common team.

Food was good as was the selection, and offe was hot, but eating there was spoiled by the loud music playing.

Today, I visited the Pret A Manger in Clapham Common with the hope of getting a hot cup of coffee to warm myself up from the pouring rain outside. Unfortunately, when we reached the tills, we were informed that coffee was not available due to an electrical fault. Instead, I ordered a Berry Bliss cooler, which was refreshing. The branch is located very near to Clapham Common underground station. The staff members were courteous and provided good service. Hopefully, the electrical issue is resolved soon.

£5 for a multigrain sandwich what a joke. Even the guy behind the counter laughed in agreement as I showed my shock at hearing the price. Do yourself a favor and avoid, go to a bakery or a real coffee shop

A very nice place for a quick drink and meal.

Food and drink is nice, as usual. But be prepared to wait a very long time (longest I've waited in a Pret) for food/drink and the tables/seating areas may not be clean. Also, don't expect the staff to wait for you when they want to kick you out of the seated areas at 4pm sharp, which i think is rather early.

Our experience was totally disappointing my self and my vegan friends went this cold morning hoping a get some sandwiches for our day was told vegans don't eat sandwiches here Sundays and they never have sandwiches for vegans Sundays had to leave hungry , none of will ever go into pret a manger again , it is discrimination against vegans if I could have given no stars I would have

Good that it was early but I’d prefer it on time with the right items. Today the coffee was spilt over the bag and bizarrely included a cookie rather than the ordered pain aux raisins. Who has a cookie for breakfast? Needs more quality checking/ care.

I thought it was great to have a Pret close to home. I’ve been there a few times to get coffee. I’m sorry to say sometimes the service has been very slow getting served at the front desk. It’s disappointing. The toilets are either out of order or a complete mess. The Wi-Fi connection terrible. I’ve stopped using this branch as I find too many things disappointing about it

20 min to get an oat latte. I’m understand they were very busy but the reason for being like this is that they were very slow. Chatting and talking while you have a long queue waiting for a simple coffee

Delivered late with half the items, brilliant.

Multiple times I have tried to go and it has been closed hours ahead of schedule. Management clearly doesn't care at all about upholding standards and was extremely disrespectful when I questioned why they were closed 3 hours earlier than they should have been.

I just wanted to write a few lines not to complain but actually to highly praise your manager at the Clapham Common restaurant, Marco. I’ve known Marco since he used to work at my local Pret in Brixton and immediately I enjoyed his warmth and customer service skills. Unlike many other customer service personnel one comes across to on a daily basis, Marco’s charm and friendliness is natural and not of the type that can be trained to someone. This is not only my view but that of several of my friends. On top of that, he’s a force of nature, leading by example with his energetic displays at work. These days I prefer to go to the Clapham Common branch just so that I can say hello to him and have a brief friendly chat. I hope this message is passed on to him with a massive thank you for all his hard work and for his natural charm. A very grateful customer. Fasil

No intention to be mean or dramatic, but I've been to 15+ Pret branches in London and this is the WORST BRANCH if your looking for SMOOTHIES. They need to stop using those horrible slush poppy style machines which run all day and don't have the correct recipe mixture just cut corners and save time - and start blending the smoothies in the NORMAL Pret barista method that all branches use. The Smoothies are horrible especially the sweet greens smoothie, very horribly mixed.

This service from the driver was appalling. I got my order 20mins late as he couldn’t find my address. I was on the phone for 20mins, tried to help him but he didn’t know where he was or would let me help. He hung up twice and lied to me about where he was.

I normally do not like to put businesses down and write bad reviews but today’s experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. From previous reviews I can see that this same tall manager has no self control when speaking to customers. Today he decided to shame a female to his staff for wearing a small top and shorts, because she has a larger ‘chest’? Making comments : women dress like that and then complain that they get harassed in the street. People can dress however they want and it’s small minded men like this that think it’s okay for females to get harassed on what they wear. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for even laughing along with him (the guy working on the till next to him), I actually feel sorry for the female staff working there, I can’t imagine how he treats them. Pret sort it out.

The new tall Italian manager is so rude. Everyone just deals with it but honestly enough is enough! There were about 10 of us who ordered smoothies from him and no one made them. After 10 minutes of waiting he said 'oh why are you all so sad, you going to a funeral?' I said no we've been waiting for drinks for over 10 minutes and he just walked away and did somthing else. Left the poor girl to deal with everyone.... everyone else is great!! Just bad management

This is by far the worst pret… If you want a hot drink be prepared to wait a very long time. You can clearly see they have no management. I was told my drink would take 10mins to make… I was the only one in there. It actually took 15mins to make as the staff member thought it was more important to re stock the shelves before making my drink lol. Please sort out this location as I’m starting to wonder why I have the subscription. Most days I end up going to Starbucks next door because at least I won’t have to wait for ever for a flat white…

I was so exited to find a pret that does shakes, frappes and smoothies. However, when I visited the first time, they said they stop serving those at 3pm.. I arrived another day at 9am for a frappe and they said they were too busy to make one. And then I went again at 1pm and the same staff member was so rude, its clear he didn't want to make one.. I pushed for it and ended up getting one quickly.
