A fantastic pub selling Belgian and Trappist beers, plus Belgian and English cuisine. The food is excellent and I would recommend the mussels. The staff are highly knowledgeable when it comes to the beer selection and provide an incomparable service all round. A must visit.

I ordered via Deliveroo and it says the food would arrive in 20 minutes. This place delivers with their own staff and it took more than 50 minutes. When I called I got a lecture on how Indian food is cooked. Unacceptable and not recommended at all.
The naan was nice and the biryani portion was huge, plus we had a great discount!
Didn’t enjoy the prawn purée or the sauces, disappointing considering the fab reviews on here. Maybe we were just unlucky last night!
Tasty food and was popping hot to my mouth which was enjoyable. Considering food arrived early and I was happy it that it came early. Just sadden they didn’t give me no salad for the curry’s and rice. I also didn’t receive any sauces for poppdoms and had to it it dry. Although everything was to a good point.
I cannot travel to London without stopping here. Their Indian-style burritos are out of this world delicious. It is an easy walking distance from the Angel tube station. Try it, you will not be disappointed.
Always a great curry here.
Attentive, friendly service puts you at ease instantly.
The Khatta Meetha Chicken is my go-to dish as it is pleasantly spiced without too much heat.
Well worth a visit, even though it is slightly off the beaten track.
We had an excellent meal at the Banana Tree Islington this evening. The staff were wonderful particularly Angela who served out table. Would definitely return. Delicious food and good value for money.
The Iskele Restaurant & Bar, located on Whitecross Street in London, offers a delightful fusion of traditional Turkish cuisine with a modern twist. During my recent visit, I opted for the 10oz Scottish Sirloin Steak, cooked to a perfect medium. The steak was tender and juicy, showcasing the quality of the meat. Accompanied by crispy, golden chips, the dish was both satisfying and well-executed.
To complement my meal, I had a refreshing glass of Coca-Cola. The service throughout was attentive and friendly, with staff ensuring that all needs were promptly met. The restaurant’s ambiance strikes a balance between cozy and energetic, featuring warm lighting and tasteful décor that reflects its Mediterranean roots. This creates an inviting environment suitable for both intimate dinners and group gatherings.
The Iskele’s menu is diverse, offering a range of traditional mezes, grilled meats, and seafood dishes. While the steak was a highlight, the menu also features other notable items such as the Adana Kebab and Baklava, which have received praise from other patrons. The restaurant caters to various dietary preferences, including vegetarian and halal options, ensuring a broad appeal.
In terms of pricing, The Iskele falls within the mid-range category, offering good value given the quality of food and service. The portion sizes are generous, leaving diners satisfied without being overwhelmed.
Overall, my experience at The Iskele Restaurant & Bar was highly enjoyable. The combination of flavorful cuisine, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere makes it a noteworthy destination for those seeking authentic Turkish fare in London.
