The best restaurants in East of England

Lovely little village pub in Benwick with friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Haven’t tried their food yet but have heard good things so will update this review when I have 👍

Just had a home delivered Chicken and Beef sunday roast. First time ordering and certainly wont be the last. Absolutely beautiful. Great selection of veg, piping hot. Make sure your hungary.

The beer is award winning and the burger and fries made by chef Harry was better than Five Guys! Highly recommend a trip to the chestnut tree!

As a local parent, I cannot recommend The Stable enough! It is such a welcoming and family friendly venue. The staff are always accommodating, there’s room for prams and a life, making the space accessible with little ones in tow. The play area is a great addition and keeps the children entertained while still feeling safe and it’s great it’s tucked away from the main cafe area so other diners can enjoy a quieter experience. The food is home cooked and so affordable.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a cozy stop mid walk. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the hot chocolate—it was the best I've ever tasted! I also indulged in a slice of cake that was simply divine. It was moist, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The sausage roll was another fantastic treat; flaky pastry with a savory filling. To top it all off, Neathouse Cafe is dog-friendly, which made it even more special. We loved being able to enjoy our treats with the dogs inside. Overall, the Neathouse is a must-visit for anyone in the area. Great food, friendly service, and a welcoming vibe—what more could you ask for? We can’t wait to return!

Sent a gammon lunch back as I asked for it to be well done 15 minutes later came back looked okay but the chips were almost cold same chips as they first served when meal when back, and the gammon was one of the worst have ever tasted hardly chewable with more salt in it than the sea a 100 yards away. Dreadful meal should have asked for my money back. I will state that my wife had fish and she said it was delicious and I must say it did look it. Won’t be going there again.

We've become regulars, loving the tasty food, great value, and friendly service. We're working our way through the menu and are always pleasantly surprised by each new dish.

Me and my partner went in for dinner this evening and wow! The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had the nachos sharer with pulled pork and it was amazing!! We then had the cowboy burger and wow! We are stuffed, the burger was cooked perfectly with delicious cheese and bacon and fries. Would definitely recommend.

It's so rare to see Carribean food as an option anywhere, so we were really excited to see Soul Food when we were on holiday. The food is a.ma.zing! Heavy on the zing!! Curry goat like it should be and patties to die for. If you don't try it, you'll regret it.

Wow wow wow what I have just eaten was truly magnificent that Joe special roll should be on the menu full time no ifs no buts it's a game changer and I believe it's going to take the world by storm 😍

We found Lucky Corner by total fluke when our regular chinese takeaway was closed, and were so excited to find somewhere so close that offers an extensive vegan/vegetarian menu. There’s so much choice that it’s impossible to try it all in one sitting! Looks like we’ll be back, Lucky Corner 😏 We ordered sweet & sour ‘chicken’ balls, singapore vegetable vermicelli (they happily took out the egg for us!), crispy seaweed, and salt & pepper chips. It was so delicious! The lady serving us was so friendly and instinctively removed the prawn crackers from our order without our asking, which was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant itself was clean and tidy, with a minimalist atmosphere, but warm and welcoming! We happened to peek a sign in the restaurant suggesting a new special: vegan vegetable & tofu dumplings, which we are eager to try next time we visit! Thanks, Lucky Corner!

Great little cafe with good staff and service

Jodie and Marie hosted our cocktail class and they were absolutely fabulous and helped make the experience fantastic, we had the best time and would highly recommend them.

A lovely little cafe with an interesting interior depicting the Great Flood of 1953 amongst other things, which makes it even more worth visiting..
