A little gem. Home made cakes are delicious. Love that the tea is served in a pot so you can at least get 2 cups out of it. Makes all the difference when you are going out for just afternoon tea and cake.

I love it here, very friendly and cosy- lovely for special occasions without a fuss. I’ve been many times and the food is always perfect.

Turkish run Fish shop - great food and some side lines too. Friendly staff. I only wish they could serve some more Turkish food too.

This place is really lovely. I went to koko Thai last night, and me and my dad had a very nice time. It was relatively busy at first but quieted down as it got later. The atmosphere is very chilled, as they have jazz playing in the background, a very nice touch. The service was perfect, and they came to check on us plenty of times, only thing worth noting is it took a little while for the food to come and to get the waiters attention for the bill. However head chef M came out to see us at the end of the night, and was really pleasant and funny. He explained a little bit about the restaurant and how he makes the food authentic. I got to try the Thai fish cakes and chicken tempura to start. The texture of the fish cakes are spongy and strange but taste very nice with the sweet chilli, and the chicken tempura was great. For main I had beef massaman curry, with sticky rice, mixed veg and rice noodles on the side. The beef massaman was amazing, the beef was well cooked, the sauce was rich and creamy, and the potatoes were so soft. Large chunks of carrot are in there too which don’t need to be in there however authentic they are. The rice noodles were very nice, almost like a dumbed down pad thai, and so was the rice and veg.

We had a good time at the restaurant, nestled away from wedding festivities elsewhere on the grounds. The wait staff were both friendly and attentive. The cream tea was good and we were indulged without the usual reservations requirement which was appreciated. Our sandwiches were fresh with tasty fillings and the scones warm and generously sized. However for the price we felt the trio of desserts was incredibly basic. A real shame since the rest was so enjoyable.

We had a great family dinner here. Plenty of choice on the menu and specials board. Generous portions and all cooked just right. Delicious desserts too!

We were served a coffee from a dirty cup. Young gen z staff didnt care, Sheldon is not equipped to deal with a simple complaint, just no idea. The spa was rusty, dusty and run down, its a dump beautifly packaged.

Birthday celebration for my mums 80th, we booked this visit back in beginning of October after making a call to the venue and being told that our table of 19 would easily be accommodated. What a disappointment on arrival instead of being sat together we were given two tables each side off double doors leading to the bar. To say my mum was disappointed was an understatement. No amount of pleading with the manager to sort it out would work snd the manageress quite honestly didn’t give a toss. The bar was understaffed and getting drinks was a long wait , the food was appalling with five mains sent back because they were so cold and the supposed trio of desserts was some terrible little plastic tubs of unknown substance and cheap cake it looked like they had raided the sales section at Tesco served on a tacky tray in the middle of the table. Overall very underwhelming and a disappointing night . I would say avoid and look elsewhere.

The Grill room always has a nice atmosphere. My Mum and I find it to be A La Carte but relaxed which is a nice mix. The food is delicious, we’ve never had a bad meal. I had the Potato Gratin with baby parsnips (vedgy option) this time and it was delicious. The Chef very kindly did my Mum a chicken option, as she couldn’t eat the other options and she really enjoyed it. Presentation and portion size is very good. Reasonably priced for the quality. When we stay at the hotel we always eat in the Grill room and if we were more local we’d eat here more often.

Now Kings - food was cold on arrival, part of the order missing and refused to return call to resolve. Won’t be going back.

We dined at the Garden Room over two nights, and both meals were fantastic. The staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, delivering a very high standard of service. The menu had a great range of choices and all of the courses we chose were faultless. The combination of flavours, presentation and high quality ingredients made it some of the best food we’ve had. A special mention goes to Finley and David who served us; their professional, warm and enthusiastic manner is a testament to the Garden Room. We will definitely return to sample more of the delicious, well curated menu. Thank you for two nights of amazing dining.
