It is a nice little place for seafood. We've been looking for a place like this around here where you can have hot food and where you can pick up fresh cold seafood as well (there's one in Ongar but they closed the cold counter in January). Not a huge selection but good quality cold seafood that you can buy at the counter. Love the crab, cravettes, oysters, crayfish and pint of prawns. Very fresh and delicious. The hot food was great too (I had prawns, scallops, chorizo and crab loaded fries) and the seafood was very nicely cooked. The staff were lovely and super friendly, there's a lovely atmosphere. (I know how hard it is to source seafood. I would love if you had things like, cuttle fish, octopus & monkfish.)

Celebration dinner for my daughter finishing her A levels and because we’ve wanted to try this place out for ages and never quite made it. Great service, lovely fish and seafood, good portion sizes, well considered wine list. We’ll definitely be back again.

We visited on the off chance, but I would definitely recommend booking. We were lucky they had a table. There is such a variety of meals that it was difficult to choose. The food was fabulous and the presentation of each dish was skilled. It is a pleasure to find such a rare treat of a restaurant. If you have never visited and love a exquisite dining experience, then I highly recommend.

Lovely food, atmosphere and service. The menu is varied and has excellent choices without being too extensive. The wine was also good, chilled and reasonably priced. We are so lucky to live nearby and will return. Thank you it’s so nice to go to an independent restaurant in the local area.

Introduced by a friend last week and it was so nice I went back with my parents this week! My dad who is 83 said it is was the best food he had ever tasted and I tend to agree with him! Looking forward to many more visits an all round 10/10 from us!

I cannot recommend this wonderful place highly enough! The quality of the produce is incredible, the staff are lovely and the paella I had was amazing...perfectly cooked stone bass and a wonderfully rich and moist paella full of mussels and clams👌Thanks all for a memorable meal❤️

Loved it, will be trying their lunchtime menu soon. We went for the share platter, large, fresh, excellent array of plated seafood had to ask for a doggy box and had it for our lunch then next day. People should give them a visit. They do takeaway too.

Only discovered this place today while looking for a place for lunch on Google. We had the Coconut Curry Mussels special, Cajun Tacos and Hot Seafood Sizzler between the two of us. The food was excellent, service attentive and prices pretty reasonable (£65 Inc a beer and a glass of white) Already recommended to friends and we'll definitely be back.

Attended for lunch yesterday with some family. Food and service were good. Unfortunately, within a few hours of the meal, I had food poisoning.

We had another wonderful meal on Saturday, lovely people and amazing food! When I get the urge for seafood it's my go to every time.

Both food and staff are incredible here. I have been a few times and never had a bad meal here. Would highly recommend, especially when they have a special event on.

Service was very slow, to a point of being so fed up we decided to leave before deserts. We were waiting and server just folding napkins up. I had the fish stew and did not like it, left it and did not even get asked why I left it. Took my mum for Mother’s Day so over all very disappointed. Should have gone to Smith’s or Alex if you want good service and great food.

Absolutely beautiful food and super lovely friendly service. The staff here seem very happy and kind. The food was so flavoursome and felt wholesome, comforting and made with love but also felt like a very special treat!

Very nice food, cooked by a single chef in a small open kitchen. He was flat out but clearly loved what he was doing. The servers except one seemed distracted or unhappy, which lowered the mood a bit. Overall, it's a bit pricey for the experience.

I don’t know what I was expecting from this place but I was very disappointed. It’s more like a cafe and one that you might expect by the coast. It was noisy with no atmosphere and it was cold. The food was ok but I was disappointed there was no “real” fish eg. cod, skate, rock eel just; prawns, scampi, calamari all fried and crab. Expensive at £24 for two courses on the special festive menu. The toilets are disgusting! There are only two of them. They are outside and in an awful state. We were told not to use one of them. Not a place to go for dinner; lunch if you’re desperate.

The Little Seafood bar is a hidden gem, service and food was amazing, already talking about our next trip and what we are going to eat.

We live nearly one hour away but we keep coming back because of how delicious the food is. The service is always friendly and accommodating.

Six of us celebrated my sister's birthday yesterday with dinner at this lovely restaurant. Everything about the evening was great - the food, the service and the general ambience. They had been happy for me to take a birthday cake in earlier in the day and they presented it with the candles lit and a round of "Happy Birthday". Brilliant evening!!

Just wanted to share with others considering this restaurant, book it and enjoy. Seafood restaurants, not by the coast, can have a varied record but the Little Seafood Bar breaks that rule. Fresh seafood cooked to perfection, good wine, good vibe, what's not to like? Cost, higher than most may like but good seafood in the UK comes at a premium as much of our local catch end's up in European restaurants where diners are prepared to pay the going rate. Happy to recommend this to other like minded seafood customers. Would definitely go back, our round trip is about 90 miles but will book when next in the area. Thanks Guys.

We visited The Little Seafood Bar today for lunch after seeing the recommendations on Facebook. We had a thoroughly lovely time with delicious food. It is quaint and cosy. I had the Goats Cheese and Walnut Salad to start, then the Hot Seafood Sizzler and the Biscoff Brownie and Ice Cream. We will definitely be returning soon

Visited for the first time for a friend's birthday bash and had a great 3 course supper. All the dishes were delicious especially the Dynamite Prawns starter on specials board. What a find!

Outstanding food and service. We had the fish curry and prawns. This place is definitely worth visiting.

Me and my wife found out about this little gem through my parents that live in the village. All of the food was incredible, there is a great selection on the menu and the people either side of side helped us pick what to have based on what they had. Everyone we spoke to inside the restaurant were return customers and honestly, we could not fault it and we will 100% be returning. The service was also fantastic, we had Grace who was really enthustaic and more than happy to help with anything we wanted. Just a note: Hatfield Heath is a small quaint village, so if you are planning on coming via taxi make sure you have a return booked as taxis are limited in the area.

Had a lovely first visit to this stylish little restaurant. The food was delicious - we shared salt and pepper squid and panko prawns to start and then prawn tacos and a seafood medley. All the dishes were generous, fresh and well presented. I was with my elderly mother and the staff coudn't have been more helpful and understanding - exemplary service. On top of that, very fairly priced. Will definitely be back!

Saw photos on trip advisor and Facebook and place looked really nice so thought we would try. Ordered a £20 seafood battered platter. This consisted of a spoonful of coleslaw, a handful of frozen chips, frozen battered squid, frozen prawns and a few more. All battered, all frozen - like something you would get out of Iceland. None of the fish had any taste. There were only about 7/8 pieces of “party food” fish. For £20, which is what we pay at high end restaurants this was not even worth £10. I felt robbed for the food quality and the price charged. Unfortunately, will not be returning. I expected fresh fish which was displayed but unfortunately did not get anything fresh apart from some salad leaves.

First time to this little restaurant and will be going again. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff were excellent, very polite and attentive, nothing was any trouble for them, made to feel very welcome. Even though the menu is small you are still spoilt for choice. Would recommend and will be back.

What a cute and well laid out seafood bar. Delicious options and great prices. Specials board, takeaway options hot and cold. Highlights for us was the prawn cocktail starter and the sizzler and battered platters. Will definitely return to try the prawn tacos next!

Been living in Hatfield Broad Oak for years. My wife was at the hairdresser two doors down and after a lengthy walk with my daughter we popped in for what I thought would be a pint of prawns, jellied ells and a can of Coke....

The food was absolutely beautiful and the service was excellent

I have been here twice now and both times I've been blown away by the food. I had the tempura prawns and the hot selection the first time and the scallops and tiger King prawns next time. I need to try the whole menu. The wine is good too and all the lovely staff. Fantastic. My friends had the vegan option (falafel), the chicken truffle croquettes and the curry. All delicious 😋 can't wait for my next visit. An absolute pleasure.

Lovely place! If you fancy a quick healty morning snack : try fresh oysters + coffee, if you're not a fan of oysters then pick some delicious fried calamari/squids or anything that's on the menu!!! You can eat inside, in the summer we like to eat outside. Sometimes we take away the food but you can order platters via telephone if you have guests then just need to go there and take the order once it's ready. We love to go there, everything it's fresh, the ladies there are friendly and happy to help!

An amazing little place off the beaten track. Really friendly service and fab food. We had the salt & pepper squid which was so tender, and the crab for starters and both were excellent. For mains we had the garlic prawns, prawns, scallop & chorizo skewer, and jerk prawn tacos. All 3 dishes were lovely. More tables available than it looks in ther photos but still worth booking ahead on busy times. Seen some other reviews about portion size but it's were more than enough and left full without needing dessert. Will definitely revisit when next in the area.
