Nice pub good àtmostphere friendly bar staff

Food was shocking The pint was ok, and the service was good.

Visited while in the area as flying out of Stansted airport. Food was bleak- fish had skin left on one side, burger bun was burnt... and the burger was a icelands burger at best. Drinks were nice but defo not for food. Atmosphere..hmmm several tvs turned off, about 6 people in the place 8pm. Should try a quiz or something

Incredibly helpful staff. My phone ran out of charge and I was far from home, the ladies behind the bar charged my phone and offered me a drink, very accommodating and saved me from a nightmare! If I’m ever in the area I’d definitely return. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

The White Horse was given as a recommendation for a good local Sunday roast, so we thought we'd try it out when we had some friends visiting. There was six of us in total. We were not disappointed. The portions were huge, it came out piping hot and was delicious. The staff were fantastic too and really friendly. Will definitely be back.

Had a lovely Sunday beef roast dinner.. My friends & I was very happy with our food.. The staff were very welcoming & friendly.. Drinks order was taken & drinks were served quickly.. Dinner ordered & food came out in great time & was cooked lovely & was hot Couldn't fault anything Overall a lovely old style British pub.. The pub had plenty of character.. I'd definitely visit again

Massive portions and very tasty yum yum!!

We visit Hatfield Heath fairly regularly, where our daughter lives, so occasionally will pop into The White Horse. The pub is very friendly, welcoming and inclusive. You never feel awkward due to the clientele mostly knowing each other and chatting together, the reason being that you are readily included if you've a mind! Food is exceptionally good, way better than average. If you are in the area, you won't be disappointed if you pop in for a cheeky pint, or bite to eat. Trad pub, sadly a dying breed.

Didn't eat this time but will in the future, very friendly bar staff good prices for drinks can't wait to go back

Don’t go. Poor service told my guest drinking coffee she’d bought in the bar “you can’t eat your own food “ she was eating a fruit she bought nearby … I was eating lasagna that had little meat and was over caloried .. I couldn’t finish a half, too much on my plate and staff attitude put me off ..,, Essex my friend said.. typical… if you’re obese it’s a great place.

Fabulous Sunday lunch today. Never been here before and the staff were lovely and attentive, we were with a party of 12. Food gorgeous, would highly recommend

Great food; steak and kidney pudding is a proper individual suet pudding, but go with an appetite because the portions are big! Lovely!

Lovely country pub with a warm atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and wonderful food, at a good price. They have a lovely garden with plenty of tables too. I would highly recommend 👌

Post lockdown Seating outside at the front or in the lovely garden Table service was excellent plenty of tables and room between tables so social distancing was easy

We went there with our granddaughter on 31/10/20 .we had a fantastic meal we have been there several times and never had a bad meal. I would recommend you pay them a visit.

Great food - tasty & wholesome, large plate with plenty on it! Service was also good - friendly & welcoming. Good COVID-19 measures. Excellent value. Missed a 5/5 because the interior just felt a little bit tired, it was fine...but just lacked a bit of something? That said it was 6pm on a Tuesday....probably totally different when it's not a 'school night'! 😁

Great friendly pub. Food not served on Mondays but every other day in the week and we have never been disappointed. Reasonably priced. This is one of those pubs that you stumble upon whilst on a country drive.

Friendly, calm atmosphere, had the sports on despite all the horrid stuff in the news. Sad to have them closed for the time being.

We stopped here during our motorbike trip and thought this was a nice little place to come to for a drink. Prices are very good and there's plenty of space for bigger groups too.

Kitchen was closed so we got food down the road then the publican chased us off the tables at the front despite having bought drinks at the White horse. Unfriendly and unprofessional.
