Visited to buy food for breakfast and lunch. The shop is tiny but is absolutely packed with delicious food. We came away with almond croissants, a loaf of sourdough bread, salami, a delicious courgette quiche, some superb local butter from Bungay and a round of Baron Bigod cheese.
This was all consumed very quickly and we’re planning our next raid.
Been here a few times meals good busy little place the ladies work very hard in pub sand are friendly will be back soon we had three starts 3 mains drinks £89 very good value
If your looking for a real sandwich with good fillings then this is the shop for you. Having visited on many occasions I have never been disappointed. The staff are all friendly and more than willing to help you choose from the exhaustive menu.
You will never be disappointed.
Don’t look anywhere else.
Victorian Beach Hut Penelope
This is by far our favorite restaurant, the atmosphere, the intimacy along with the pure simplicity is unmeasured. Once you add the knowledge of the wines coupled with David's amazing food just means you never want to leave, the fact that we live 14 miles away unfortunately means we have to tear ourselves away. Never change guys you're the best.
Harri and Darren
Started coming in when my baby girl was 2 weeks old (I need to get out of the house and as a first time mum the thought of going to a bigger establishment didn't appeal to me). My baby is now 11 weeks old. We've been going in once a week every week. Anna, her daughter and fellow staff members are so polite and attentive. It really is a pleasure to keep visiting this little perfect establishment. Prices are very very reasonable in this day and age and everything they offer is delicious and fresh! Really is a must visit place!
This restaurant was recommended and I was shocked by how talented the young chef was…
The prawns were meltingly fresh and the quality of the drinks was simply amazing.
I was the only diner at lunchtime and I felt Hannah went above and beyond without being intrusive.
Next time I will certainly try the fish pie if I can tear myself away from the wonderful shop below it…
A real hidden gem 💎
Sunny day, went to the seafront in Felixstowe with my 4 legged friend. We were greeted quickly and given a menu. Price is very reasonable and very tasty burgers. Only gave 4 stars as the burgers did take a while to come but will come back as no issue at all.
I visited Chestnut and Rose for breakfast with my son last week. I ordered the creamy garlic mushrooms on sourdough, and it was an absolute delight. The mushrooms were cooked to perfection, with a rich and flavorful garlic cream sauce and the sourdough was fab. Amazing portion size and great value for money.
It's clear that the staff take pride in their food, drinks and service. My coffee had a love heart on top 😍
All the cakes on the counter looked delicious, we were too full from breakfast to sample any this time but will definitely be back to try.
Went here for the first time on our latest trip to Felixstowe and we are so glad we did.Lovely food, freshly cooked and reasonably priced.Very friendly staff and everything i watched being freshly prepaired looked delicious.Myself and my Son had a lovely breakfast ( mine complete with granary toast), my partner had ham, egg and chips which looked lovely and my daughter had a jacket potato and as she couldn't finish it they kindly packaged it up for her to take away.Would love to visit again when in town.
