Found this little gem by chance whilst looking for a place to have lunch. Located on the first floor with a welcoming feel. We had the simple tapas lunch which was excellent. It was fresh and tasty. Service was very good. Well worth a visit. Must try dinner next time ..

Hidden away on the first floor above a sandwich shop in the Thoroughfare is this gem of a wine bar. For foodies, lunchtime offers a £10 lunch & brunch menu and a selection of tapas whilst evenings offer a slightly more extensive menu. Chef Sam's homemade ice cream is delicious.

My visit to Charming Wine Bar was nothing short of exceptional. This hidden gem offers an enchanting ambiance perfect for unwinding. The culinary highlight was undoubtedly the tempura oysters, crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful inside, each bite was a delectable experience. The small plates were equally impressive, with each dish crafted to perfection and bursting with unique flavors that complemented our wine selection beautifully. Speaking of wine, the variety was fabulous. The owner’s expertise and enthusiasm were evident as she guided us through the list, helping us find the perfect pairings. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making the evening all the more memorable. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or simply looking for a charming spot to enjoy a night out, Charming Wine Bar is a must-visit. I can't wait to return!

Simply excellent. We moved to Woodbridge last month and honestly have been quite disappointed with the food scene- this place is a gem though! The young chef really knows what he is doing and you can see his passion in every dish. Fresh produce, well presented, no nonsense good food. Cannot recommend enough. Padron peppers with a glass of rose to kick things off, chicken satay skewers to share with some beef shin ragù arancinis and freshly made focaccia on the side. I lived in Italy for four years and this chap definitely passes test! My partner then had Hake scampi- fresh succulent fish coated in breadcrumbs, fried to perfection- reminiscent of the fish goujons at J Sheeky’s! Zero faults. I had an expertly finished chicken supreme on a bed of creamy mash- side of al dente broccoli that had been finished under the grill to give it extra flavour- a splesh chicken gravy to cover it that I could have licked off the plate. All in all a wonderful dinner and we will be returning. Yanna(sorry if I have misspelled) the hostess and her staff are super accommodating and don’t miss a thing. Great atmosphere. Give this place a go!

The best toasty I have had in years. Cheese and ham good but the bread is homemade and crips up to take the toasty to another level. Thank you very much!

If your looking for a real sandwich with good fillings then this is the shop for you. Having visited on many occasions I have never been disappointed. The staff are all friendly and more than willing to help you choose from the exhaustive menu. You will never be disappointed. Don’t look anywhere else. Victorian Beach Hut Penelope

The only thing that needs to change at the Snug Tearoom is, absolutely nothing! It’s perfect. The staff, the food, the ambiance.
