Brilliant little gem of a rustic themed tea room in the heart of the East Suffolk Coast area of outstanding natural beauty. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. Coffee choices were great and I'd recommend to anyone in the area hiking or visiting to book in. Walk up is available and in the warmer months they have a small garden with seating. Dogs are welcome inside.

Just came back from a fantastic visit to The Snug. Child and dog friendly, we brought our dog and two children. Nothing was too much trouble. My son wanted an ice cream which was not on the menu, they offered to nip to the shop next door! He was thrilled. We had the broccoli and stilton soup and a few sandwiches. All the food was fantastic. The soup was probably the best soup I've ever had! So savoury and flavoursome without being over seasoned (I hate black pepper so I was really pleased) my dad had a slice of cake and said it was amazing. I'm sad I was too full for cake because the looked to die for. The staff were so friendly and kind. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Please visit I urge you, based on positive reviews and how spot on the reviews are. We had two panini which was garnished with salad that was actually dressed and not just some dried lettuce and tomato. We also had a slice of locally baked delicious homemade cake. All in a nice snug, pardon the pun environment. Highly recommended.

What a gem! Five of us called in for lunch after a morning at RSPB Minsmere. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They offered a decent selection of sandwiches and paninis - the coronation chicken went down a treat. Some of us tried to leave space for a slice of cake: they are HUGE, so it was a struggle…. The coffee & walnut cake was delicious. The range of teas and coffees was also good, so when we left we all felt well fed and watered.

What a lovely quaint little tea room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. A great range of food and snacks available and they always try to accommodate guests. The cakes are gorgeous and look homemade. The one disappointment was the stale and dry toasted tea cake. We should have sent them back but we don’t like complaining when other customers are around. That being said we will happily return next time we are in the area.

We cannot recommend this little gem highly enough as fantastic on all levels of welcoming service and the cakes. We sat in the tranquil gardens at the back as we had our 2 dog's with us. There are dog bowls scattered about and even the dog's were offered a dog biscuit which they enjoyed. The garden is pretty with lots of colourful flowers adding to the ambience and big umbrella's for shade, every need has been carefully thought of. Our freshly baked scones didn't disappoint and I opted for the fruit with jam and cream option and my husband had cheese scone with a delicious chutney and some pieces of tasty cheese, which were perfectly presented. The tea was proper loose tea too! All the staff were so happy and it was a delight to visit ~ thank you we will return, we just can't rate it enough.

I've enjoyed The Snug a number of times but felt compelled to review after my most recent visit. The staff, including the two gorgeous cockapoo "meeters and greeters" are so friendly and welcoming. I called in advance to ask if it would be possible to have a dairy free cake option as it was my birthday (and knowing how accommodating the team are based on other reviews) and they went completely above and beyond, serving up three delicious mini cakes and a scone. WE were staying in Leiston and en route to Dunwich or Southwold or Minsmere we would go through the lovely little village of Westleton and pass the Snug Tea Room. On the final day we stopped there for lunch and were glad we hadn't missed out. The food was wonderful. There is a good range of soups and the Suffolk ham salad, sausage bap and coffee walnut cake were all delicious. It was more than just the food though. After reading the great reviews decided to give this place a try and were not disappointed. We visited with our rather large dog and were all made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We sat outside and very much enjoyed our scones and tea in the courtyard garden. The staff were excellent, all were working very hard. Our only disappointment was we ran out of time to return in our week's holiday! This place has the added bonus with being joined to the village store. Again we cannot fault this place. It is so well stocked and very reasonably priced. There is a great selection of food and wines. It also has fresh bread, we assume from the bakery.
