The best restaurants in Clarence St Albans East of England

Another fantastic meal at Laurel House. Everything was absolutely delicious. The kids all had burgers which they loved and I had chicken which had an excellent peri peri kick! The chips are amazing!!

Lovely Hotel restaurant which I have never visited before. Although our visit was a sombre occasion the restaurant was beautiful and the meals and staff were exceptional. I would recommend The Belvedere for any special occasion!

Great food and the waitress was truly amazing, nothing was too much. So a big thanks to Alida and the rest of the team for a wonderful dinner!

Nice selection of meals with non vegetarian, vegetarian and vegan options. I enjoyed the mackerel open sandwich with bettroot and basque cheesecake. There is always plenty of greenery with the lunches. Loved the iced coffee too. A wide range of anges observed there.

Would give a 3.5 if I could, got upgraded to a 4 in the end by the kids. Good points - clean, kids liked the cookie dough desserts Bad points - constant stream of delivery drivers which makes the wait seem longer when you’re dining in. It took too long at night for just 2 desserts, but loads of delivery orders went out instead. Also, no kids portions. £8 for a cookie dough dessert means, for a family, you’ll just share what your kids have (as the portions are too big for them so they’ll be wasted), rather than them having a small portion and you choosing your own.

Waiting for my cake & drink when a customer came in with a huge dog. This is such a tiny place filled with food. Yuck, I thought. Then the waitress petted the dog, fed the dog meat from her hands and only gave her hands a little rinse after. Then she petted the dog again and didn’t wash her hands. In what other ways are they ignoring basic hygiene? I had to eat my food with this massive dog sat right next to me. Gross, gross, gross.

Fantastic dining experience! The dishes are both visually stunning and delicious. The service is top-notch, making every visit a pleasure. Highly recommend for a special night out

The absolute creme de la creme of takeaways in St Albans. You cannot beat Plantopia for food quality and value for money (especially with a cheeky promo code). Honestly, top work guys. We will keep coming back again and again and again!! Up there with Mildred's as my favourite ever Vegan food - but without the hefty price tag,

Normally eat in but choose to get a takeaway and food was delicious. Really happy as one of the rarest takeaway that the food tastes the same eating in and takeaway.

Lovely service,kind people and top food. It is amazing and I love it. I love the fish amritsari,paneer (all) and lobster. I also love the restaurant itself.

Arrived at 18:00 on a Friday. The food prep staff were hard at it catering to a an almost full group of diners plus a continuous flow of collections. Service is pmopt based on a well oiled machine of activity. I started with whitebait with flatbread followed by the veggie platter.. falafel, halloumi, vegetables in a tomato sauce and a mix of tasty rice and salad. The £14.95 bill was excellent value.

The place is opposite craft the furniture store, was handy as we were looking for furniture. Lunch came first, food and drinks were nice. Staff, service and interior are all nice.

Had a lovely latte in the snug overlooking the park. Comfortable chair. The staff were genial and helpful. Toilets were clean. Found the time in the restaurant relaxing.
