Plantopia Vegan in St Albans

The absolute creme de la creme of takeaways in St Albans. You cannot beat Plantopia for food quality and value for money (especially with a cheeky promo code). Honestly, top work guys. We will keep coming back again and again and again!! Up there with Mildred's as my favourite ever Vegan food - but without the hefty price tag,

I’m not someone who is plant based at all, and I would never usually suggest a plant based option for takeaway, but having ordered Plantopia once before we thought we would try again. I should add, the first time was absolutely delicious, we tried an array of starters and burgers - all so good! This time around I went with the double cheeseburger and my wife went for the Southern Fried Chicken burger. My burger was sooo good! It tasted like the real thing, that same charred, meaty flavour with melty cheese. It was delicious. My wife’s was so good too, the slaw really takes it up a notch! I love the options you get at Plantopia, and the care the team take with the combination of ingredients and flavours! I honestly will add this to the top of my takeaway recommendations and options in future!

The Korean 'chicken' burger was out of this world and I would recommend it to anyone. My wife, a non-vegan, said it was the nicest chicken burger she's ever tasted, meat or otherwise. The standard 'chicken' burger is also incredible, although the Korean just takes it with that spicy barbecue sauce. The chips are the nicest takeaway chips I've had in as long as I can remember, as testified to by my usually very picky two-year-old daughter who nicked half of them! The chips paired with the vegan chipotle mayo are to die for. I usually get the banana blossoms to start, and although I have no idea what is in them they are incredible, just so rich and flavoursome. In my most recent order I got the bang-bang tofu skewers which had a lovely peanut satay style sauce on them. There are also lots of very healthy options but the naughty stuff is just sooooo good! Food is well packaged and always arrives hot whether via Deliveroo or Ubereats. Owners are clearly very passionate about their food and care very much about their business, which I always think should be rewarded. Amazing stuff, my go-to takeaway in St Albans. Will not disappoint.

best vegan burger we have ever had!! We got the Sticky Korean Fried Chick’N Burger and the The Chimmy Burger, great value for money and dropped off to our car when we picked up. If only we didn’t live in Scotland we’d be here every week!!

We stumbled across plantopia a few months ago now whilst looking for a takeaway. We were super excited to see a local vegan takeaway and we were not disappointed with our order! Super yummy food and great service. Best vegan food we've probably ever eaten from a takeaway/restaurant. Even our non vegan family and friends have all been impressed with the food We have gotten food from here ALOT since discovering Plantopia and each time the food has been amazing. We've tried all the burgers now (the Korean burger is a firm favourite), some of the pastas and bang bang tofu. We've also had the biscoff cheesecake which is to die for!!

We ordered 2 Miami burgers, chips, banana blossom bites and a chocolate fudge cake. It was tasty, hot and probably some of the best vegan food we’ve eaten in ages! I would highly recommend.

More people need to try this! This right here is the food of the future; it looks great, smells insane and tastes incredible… oh yeah and its vegan. That means that it’s made with the environment considered and with animal life appreciated, and tasting this good, you really shouldn’t be hesitating to try it… this company needs to go far!!!

Ordered meal for two via Just Eat. Initially advised order would be within an hour. After almost 2 hour wait, tried to phone restaurant via Just Eat app and phone number didn't work. In the end, had to contact Just Eat to get refund. Food from restaurant may be great but I'll never know as I won't waste my time with restaurant again.

First time ordering Plantopia, but certainly not last. Best vegan food in town and awesome customer service.

Our takeaway for five arrived on time and piping hot. Very tasty with large portions. I enjoyed my sweet mango and coconut curry, while others had burgers, and a hot & spicy curry. Plenty of leftovers did us for lunch over the next two days! We'll be back for more soon :-)

We ordered on a Saturday night but the food still arrived within the hour as estimated (and was warm on arrival!) We ordered the Miami Burger with vegan cheese and the Southern Fried Chick'N burger which both came with a generous portion of well-seasoned fries. The burgers were great, very filling - mine was the Miami Burger and it tasted just like a beef burger and was really moist (sorry to anyone that hates that word!) This was our first time ordering from Plantopia and it is great to have a fully-vegan takeaway in St Albans which also happens to do more than one type of cuisine. I look forward to trying the other dishes at some point in the future.

Despite being a lover of traditional pizzas and cheeseburgers, my son chose Plantopia for his birthday treat. None of us were disappointed! The Miami burgers and the Korean Burger were all delicious, with the yummy fries. Special thanks to Alessandro for the guacamole, the birthday cake and delivery in person. I hope the Tempeh is in stock next time we order - can't wait to try it.

Such a prompt service! It was ready bang on time and the portion sizes were so decent! Soooo many chips you won’t be disappointed! We tried both the Miami burger and the Southern Fried ‘chicken’ burger and they were both amazing! Two of the people eating with us aren’t vegan and both loved their meals so it’s defo a try even if you’re not vegan! Thanks so much Plantopia! Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!!

We ordered from here for Valentine’s day, without high expectations. The Miami burger, which we ordered with cheese and onion rings, was one of the best vegan burgers I’ve ever eaten. In fact, it tasted like a meat burger! The chip portion was enormous and even tasted good heated up the next day. Aubergine balls were fresh but not to our taste, so wouldn’t order again. My partner (who isn’t vegan) had the mango coconut curry and gave the food 10/10, insisting we try it again when the chicken burger is back in stock. Cannot wait to order from here again!

Everything we tried was mouth watering tasty, and an absolutely scrumptious dish is the African peanut tempeh ~ highly recommend this restaurant! My hubby got the Mango curry which he loved and the kids the burgers (they are meat eaters) and they devoured them 😍

The food was more than an hour late, which already is not a great start, especially when kids and adults are waiting hungry around the table. Despite this, we were all curious to give it a go. We ordered few starters to share and a couple of mains. The taste was nice but everything was so fried and greasy. Unfortunately, it was very difficult to digest and we all felt not ok afterwards. Maybe, it would be ok for people used to a greasy and fried cuisine but if you are up for something light, tasty and fresh, this is not the restaurant for you.

We fancied a change from our usual non-vegan eating so gave this a try. We had a selection of different dishes in order to sample as much as possible and enjoyed every one. Glad we tried it and will definitely come order again, soon!
