Staff great, we sat next to the kitchen and enjoyed the chat, food was lovely and the Frascati was great. Will definitely be going back. Very Italian in style not like the usual restaurant that serves Italian food with British styling, this is Italian.

The food was very good. The are a number of options on the menu. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant does get busy. Went to celebrate 2 birthdays. Told the staff but they did NOT offer anything.

I took my family on Sunday and was brilliant food nice little Italian restaurant with great service and atmosphere and was really busy for being sunday , definitely will suggest to my friends and family worth visiting

If you want to feel that you are sitting in a small not chain traditional restaurant in Italy set off the main high street, then this is certainly the place for you. We visited on a Sunday evening and it was very busy, however, we still received excellent service. The menu was reasonably priced and varied with good quality ingredients used.

Lovely friendly atmosphere in an old style traditional Italian. Lunchtimes are great value with good specials on the day.

Fabulous evening, delicious food and lovely welcome - who could possibly ask for more!! There is an extensive menu and the food was best Italian food we have eaten for a long time. Very well priced and terrific staff. Well worth going to!

Had a lovely meal here. It feels very cosy inside and is always full of people (make sure to book in advance!). The food was delicious and staff were very friendly.

I used to love this restaurant, in fact it was my favourite Italian in Hertfordshire. I hadn’t been for a while, we booked for a Saturday evening table for four at 18:00. We were 15 minutes late due to M1 traffic. At 8pm sharp, we were told they needed our table. No time for coffee. We were told we should have ordered them sooner. The food was good, but very rushed. We won’t rush back.

We came here for the first time in a few years and would definitely return and recommend to others. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is lovely. Menu is really varied and the food was all delicious. Thank you!

Popped in for lunch yesterday. Excellent calamari for starters and chicken escalope for main. Friendly and efficient service.

I used to work here 30 years ago as their washing up and delivery boy. The food is still as authentic and delicious as it ever was and the staff are charming and nice. Intimate too, really feels like you’ve escaped into a unique and comforting Italian outpost

Been in business for over 40 years for a reason. Reliable, tasty, good value food. Always busy, especially at 6pm, best to book if you can. We come weekly and will continue to do so. Comfort food at its best..

It is lovely place, all decorations are great, we ordered week day lunch menu which has a main and drink. For me, I ordered a spaghetti Puttanesca, the spaghetti cooked in al dente and the sauce is rich with olives, tomato, capers and anchovies that is so delicious!

It’s been way too long but Artie wanted to treat mummy for Mother’s Day…Pasta Cibo is just a delight! Friendly staff who chat easily a warm atmosphere…the pasta was great, calamari yummy and sitting by the kitchen was fun for everyone! I promise to not leave it so long next time!

Scout pizza challenge ordering a large margarita pizza. Manager was very nice and accommodating to the Scouts. All scouts were satisfied to a level of excellence on both the level of service and pizza quality. Would recommend!

Fabulous meal here again last night. 6 friends met for a belated secret Santa evening. Great food, drink and at reasonable prices. We had house wine in carafes and both white and red were lovely. Really lovely ambience with attentive staff….. a proper Italian!

This is a lovely spot full of character and delicious Italian food! It was a little cramped but that added to the vibe to be honest! This seems like a spot where you can order anything and be safe in the knowledge that it’s all going to be great: the arancini was a special on the day and was huge and cheesy, the tortellini really flavourful and complemented well by the rich, tangy bolognese-y sauce, and other dishes around the table of seafood spaghetti (substituted for linguini), tiramisu and cheesecake were really tasty too. Really good service, a great drinks selection, and a great meal!

I have been Italy many times. There is no relevance between this foods and Italian foods. Italian foods are really simple and tasty. I dont know how they prepared foods with such a bad taste. Every dish comes with lettuce,piece of tomato and cucumber. I never seen these presentation in Italian restaurant. Our service was not good. We ordered wine, he has bad attitute when we ordered. I coulndt understand why. And lastly, before I left the restaurant I saw one of the chef licked the tong. It was horrible experience I never recommend to anyone.

It was the worst Italian dining experience ever! Even they are not proper Italian foods. Can you imagine an Italian dish which is served with a piece of chopped tomatoes and lettuce? We thought that we can order mains after starters but we did not because it was not tasty at all. Would not recommend it. Thankfully they do not charge you with any service charge. Needed to edit my review as I have seen the owner’s reply: I have studied in Italy are you sure that I have no idea about Italian food? Btw we all need to eat to feed our bodies as we have to pay what we got that’s why we ate what we ordered although we didn’t like it:)

Always a good dinner at Pasta Cibo, if not the food, the service, the atmosphere, they all make up for it and the whole restaurant decor just makes you feel so relaxed. I love coming here after work with family, friends or colleagues. Quite a small but cosy place. We only just discovered they do take aways too! So if you’re feeling for a takeaway then this is a great option, prawns, pasta, pizza, what more could you ask for. We also got free limoncello at the end of our meal. Just the desserts were less desiring as it had too much chocolate and strawberry sauce all over it, spoilt it and rather it without.

Had most wonderful birthday experience. All of our group loved their food and service is faultless. Wonderful authentic atmosphere ! Strongly recommend.

Food ok - average at best! Not a soul asked if food OK. No water for table. No dessert menu offered! When complained we were told they were busy with large tables ! Very disgruntled that we had the temerity to complain! My birthday dinner was not pleasant! Shall not go back! Really not interested in the response !

Love this very unique independent Italian in harpenden. It looks like the archetypal Italian restaurant. Been here two or three times and each time the food and service was excellent.

Food was great, service good but it is just badly laid out with too many tables. We had booked a table for two and were seated right next to another couple. They were so close, the other guy had his elbow on our table at one point. You couldn’t have a personal conversation and it felt like you were dining with strangers. If I wanted this I would have gone to Wagamama’s.

My first time dining at Pasta Cibo and I was not disappointed. The food was excellent, the staff, charming and helpful and the atmosphere perfect.

Always a pleasure to visit, this time with fifteen others at tea time. Lovely Italian calzone and an excellent selection of starters. Thanks.

Very welcoming and friendly. Set lunch was amazing value. Food good but not exceptional. It is rather dark inside due to all the atmospheric memorabilia hanging from the ceiling and walls.

Or favourite restaurant for the last 20 years. We have taken or children there for years and they always request the old menu, which is provided on request. Fantastic service as well.

By far the best place I have EVER eaten! The restaurant itself was like being abroad! The service was brilliant the staff were quick, welcoming and very friendly the food was incredible so full of flavour and beautifully presented as for the price I would have easily paid double couldn’t believe how reasonably priced it was. I was with my coworkers tonight and it is absolutely a great experience. I am not really a pasta & pizza person but when I tried your Italian delicacy, my goodness, 360° I'm totally into it. ❤️👌🏼 Staff is really friendly and accommodating. I love how the chef made the pizza, you can really see them do it. Food is superb, gosh I love Spaghetti Mare ❤️ Che Buono! P.S. I love the double walled coffee mug. 😳

Busy place which I have visited for many years unfortunately one of the starters ,which was an one special menu, was burnt on the bottom plus my son ordered salmon pasta and the salmon did not look like salmon.

It's the best restaurant in harpenden. Friendly, cosy, relaxed but with great ambience and such consistently fantastic quality food that they yet manage to serve quickly and very reasonably priced. My absolute favourite place to eat. Thank you all!

I have divided feelings about my visit in this place. Quite nice at the entry, small and cosy restaurant. Tiny toilet right at the end, passing the open kitchen wasn't really pleasant experience. The starter I ordered was antipasto pasta Cibo as a selection of Italian meats olives and mozarella, but what I got wasn't really what I was looking forward coz they only put two dry olives and one tiny slice of mozarella, disappointing. The waiter, wasn't much focused on taking our orders, he kept popping away to do something else and then he was back again. Also, he dropped a heavy butter knife on my head, to my surprise I had to admonish him: "excuse me, you have just dropped something on my head", to which he replied with an attitude: "I did say I'm sorry, didn't I?", which in fact I didn't hear... So rude. Food quite nice, but no vegan options, which was extremely disappointing as one of my friends had to order a salad only whilst we were all having pastas ect. Won't be visiting again.

came here with my grandson for a quick lunch , The man who greeted us was so nice and accommodating i needed a high chair he done all of that for me as i diddnt have a clue the food was lovely and not a long wait like some in Harpenden ,, Yes maybe a quick lunch but had a nice meal lovely waiter and my grandson was a happy chappy thankyou x

Food was ok & very warm (we did visit on one of the UK hottest days); unfortunately the 2 ceiling fans didn't do it. Seating was uncomfortable & could do with better cushions!

Delicious authentic Italian food in a traditional setting - A family owned and run restaurant. Kitchen is visible from dining room which gives you a birds eye view of the food preparation and you can watch the gorgeous food coming through the pass. Staff are happy and helpful. Everything is well priced and there is a great vegetarian selection

We went to pasta cibo on Saturday 2nd April with friends and the food was lovely. It was a very friendly place to it and the staff were lovely to. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family and we will probably go back there again soon.

Great food, service in a lovely small setting

A friendly Italian restaurant. Has a very good atmosphere and genuine warmth, which contrasts favourably with the larger chains. The menu is relatively small, but means they do it all with high quality. I have yet to have a bad dish. Also keep an eye out for their specials board. I would highly recommend it. You may need to book though as it is understandably popular with the locals.
