The best restaurants in Loddon South Norfolk East of England

Best fish and chips ever, lovely white fish , crisp non greasy batter, not any grease on paper from chips either, all very tasty , pleasant curtious staff, highly recommend.

My first time back for 6 years when Carorline still used to serve the "Naughty breakfast" in their old premises across the road. Now replaced by 3 others which includes the "Large breakfast "which is a feast. Consistent quality over three visits in a fortnight & a lovely warm welcome every time. Worth a trip all the way from Africa.

Found a leaflet on the stern of our boat early one morning and decided to try the breakfast which was all freshly cooked and a real plateful. Shame we had to move on as would of gone back for dinner.

Wow an amazing find a delight from the moment you walk in the door. Staff friendly and helpful. It is a gluten/dairy free heaven! We dined in and oh my goodness what a choice I actually didn’t know what to have. Really different options. I opted for the gf/df tuna mayonnaise sandwich and it didn’t disappoint. Bread was so soft and flavourful, other ingredients good quality and tasty. Daughter had non gf/ df scone with cream cheese and pickle and said it was delicious( there was a gf/df alternative). I had oat milk with my smooth americano. One of the best places I have had lunch in for choice, taste and quality. Prices are very reasonable too. Will definitely be returning in the future. It’s a short walk from either car parks in Loddon which give two hours free parking . Or it’s close to the staithe if arriving by boat from the broads . Loddon can also be accessed by bus from Norwich or Beccles/Lowestoft or even Southwold /Kessingland.

Good local pub in heart of village. Good beers, friendly service, pool, darts etc. Shows football on to. Across road from Indian restaurant which was handy.

A really lovely meal, service was brilliant too. I went home with my cheese board wrapped in a designer foil handbag!!! Made my day 😃 Thanks Lawrence xx

I very rarely eat Chinese food (prefer Indian) but this might have just changed my outlook completely - food was REALLY good, had the S6 set menu with a few additions and I wasn't disappointed - huge portions, tasty, fresh, hot and with two free tangos thrown in. We'll be back.

Just had a lovely meal here. I had Lamb Madras, and my wife had a chicken korma. Both meals were excellent, and I particularly enjoyed the Madras, very flavosum, hot, but not too hot (for me, ant way, and I do hot). I am quite the critic of Indian food as I cook curries quite a lot, and yes, I rost the spices and mix my own Garmasala etc, so when I say it is good, I do not say this lightly. The service was very friendly and I would certainly recoment to give it a go.

My wife was unable to eat her haddock. I tried a bite, it tasted awful. Not sure if it was off, or they had sold us a cheaper fish type. Spoilt our saturday night tea together. It is expensive, so this experience was enough to call it a day here. Sad as we live close by. Will try poringland.

We booked a table for 14 people for a Sunday lunch. The meal was absolutely delicious, plenty of it so tasty. The staff were efficient and the service was excellent. The place was very busy and to caterer for 14 diners in one sitting is no mean feat. All the food was served quickly and hot . Thank you all the staff

Live locally and thought about getting a take away from here. Checked out their food hygiene rating. It got a 1 star. Must be pretty terrible so went else where
