My wife was unable to eat her haddock. I tried a bite, it tasted awful. Not sure if it was off, or they had sold us a cheaper fish type. Spoilt our saturday night tea together. It is expensive, so this experience was enough to call it a day here. Sad as we live close by. Will try poringland.

The food was tasty as always. The service was friendly. The delivery of my food was slow and late. I rang up and ordered my food, asking for 7.30, this gave them 45mins. On arrival, I had to wait an additional 15mins, whilst all bar one person who had arrived before me, was served. What’s the point in pre ordering?

NEVER EVER get the order correct. ALWAYS something missing. Makes you wonder if its purposeful. Prices are ridiculously high as it is. AVOID

I decided to give this chippy a go again having previously had mediocre food! The chips were warm and anaemic and the fish portions look like they have been halved! Really disappointing and I will not be back! I advise anyone to not use this shop you'll only be disappointed and left hungry!

Since being taken over this previous fantastic fish and chip shop has gone significantly downhill. Each time we try it there is problem. Decided to give it once last go, yet again we had to wait an extra half hour despite ordering ahead, had two dry pieces of haddock, lukewarm food, the cod was awfully cooked and half the order was missing. Phoned up to advise I would be coming back in, which I did so. Nothing done to put it right other than to say the fish wasn’t dry and to refund the missing bits. No apology, no attempt to try to rectify the other problems. Truly terrible customer service. We spent a lot of money on a family meal which was awful. Please don’t waste your time or money with this shop! Hopefully it will change hands again as we’ve gone from two great fish n chip shops in the village to one awful one.

Stopped off here for supper, not realizing you needed to phone your order through. Waiting outside were a collection of people, some like us hadn't even ordered, others had ordered by phone, but hadn't paid, some were just waiting to collect. Once we had paid we were given a ticket number, but these were all random numbers, so we still did not know how many were before us, or where we were in the 'queue'. The pavement was very narrow, but the chip shop which has been here for years was very popular. Our fish and chip portions were a good size, hot and tasty. Its a shame Covid has complicated the simple task of buying a fish and chip supper. Just happy to help support small local businesses through the pandemic.

This pie was the worst ever tasted. Microwaved ‘steak and kidney. Full of kidney and gristle. Can’t believe they can sell this type of low quality food without tasting it themselves.

I will never forget the time I went into Lim’s after a day busking with my buddy, told Lim I’d made £13 that day, and he congratulated me and gave me a free saveloy. What a legend.

Lovely portion sizes sausages were fantastic and so was the curry sauce. Fish freshly cooked would definitely return

Waited 10 minutes to order and then a further 35 minutes for a large chips and small cod. I also ordered a portion of scampi, as there were no large or medium cods available, which I was disappointed to find hadn’t actually been included when I unwrapped the food at home. On top of that the chips were plain when I requested salt and vinegar and the sauce for the fish was also incorrect (tomato sauce instead of tartar). We initially wanted to get fish and chips from Loddon Plaice but as they weren’t open chose Lim’s instead in spite of the recent negative reviews, I wouldn’t recommend this as I can’t say it was really worth it. The food wasn’t bad, chips were nice, the batter on the fish was crisp, a little greasy but that’s to be expected, however the experience wasn’t good and attention to detail was poor. They also seem to favour collection orders and I don’t really see why they don’t just refuse walk-ins as I think this contributed to the wait time.

This is the second time of trying these fish and chips since new owners and both times disappointed. The fish and chips from the previous owners was really good and we would order from there regularly. However, both times of trying fish and chips under new owners we have been disappointed, so will not be trying a third time. The portion of chips was made up of mainly hard bits of chips impossible to eat, and there were only about 10 chips that were worth eating. The batter on the fish was also a bit chewy. The fish itself was ok. Staff not very friendly.

Ever since moving to Loddon nearly a year ago I always get my fish and chips from here! I’ve never had any complaints the food is always piping hot and absolutely delicious, when ordering my cod and chips last night ( ANA) I was again given LOVELY food as usual, but was very disappointed having paid for a LARGE portion of chips and on unwrapping my food it was quite clearly a small portion. I wasn’t going to ring up and kick off or send the food back because the food was not the problem, it was lovely as always, simply I wasn’t impressed to have paid £20 for 2X large cod and chips and getting that ridiculous portion of chips.

Top class chippy, the staff are always very friendly here. If your ever in the area I would highly recommend this place

Really lovely fish and chips, very reasonable too! Good curry sauce. Young girl serving ( Saturday 1st June, evening) was very happy and friendly and interacting happily with her boss and customers. They were very busy but we were served quickly and will return!

Useless can't get the meal that you want not the sort of place you would go never have the fish you want and staff don't wear gloves or hair nets

Ok so I know these can be called various different things across the country's depending on where you are from, but most people know what a chip butty is. Including people locally! However, we were served a breadcake/breadbun with about 10 chips in. Yet we paid the full price of a portion of chips??? Chips were a bit dry and the salt and vinegar wasn't exactly in generous supply! Shame really, as we were all looking forward to eating this in the sun! We probably won't go back. Perhaps we should have ordered something else but other people who had got food were equally disappointed when parts of their order was missing!

Best chips in the village , best to preorder as this place has queues outside on a Friday teatime . Lim and his team are very helpful I suggest the cod and chips and the chicken and chips .mushy peas

Whether travelling to Loddon by boat, bike or car this is our favourite place for fish and chips. Whenever we come here the service is fantastic, the portion sizes are good and the fish and chips are tasty.

After a 5 mile walk in the area we decided to park (free for 2 hours in Loddon) and visit a chip shop previously enjoyed. Service, choice and quality of food was absolutely excellent.

Some of the best fish and chips on offer. Very friendly people , reasonably priced the only downside sometimes it's busy and you have to wait!

Got a takeaway here when moored at Loddon. It was a Friday and the shop was busy but with a good waiting atmosphere. Both the fish and the chips were cooked beautifully. Highly recommended.

My Dad had raved on about Lims so I was excited to experience what had been promised. Hardly any chips available and overcooked, no fish available ( it was the fish that Dad had raved about) cut my losses and went to the Co-Op

Had a F&C meal from Lim's in Sept 2014 so whilst boating on the Broads again this year (2015), it was definitely a call in to sample the F&C meal once again. Super meal,fish cooked fresh to perfection and with a friendly service.

Went for a takeaway chippy tea on a Thursday evening. We ordered skate and cod. The fish was cooked to order, worth the wait, the batter was light and crispy, the chips were tasty and the curry sauce was delicious. The staff were friendly and chatty while we were waiting. It was so good my husband went again the next day.

Excellent cod and chips with chunky really fresh cod and large portions of chips. Mushy peas were good too.

Been going here for years and as we live abroad this is usually the first meal we have when returning to Norfolk xx. Fresh, friendly, and fantastic xx

We regularly get our tea from Lims - its a real treat - friendly staff and great food.. Today we went to the other chippy in Loddon as Lims was closed for a few days. What a difference we won't go there again. Roll on the reopening of Lims later this week.

Went to lims as loddon plaice up the road not open. Fish about 5 inches long and chips very expensive. Wanted a battered burger but was not prepared to pay £1.90. Very poor value for money. More interested in serving regulars.

this is the best by far for fish and chips for miles around. We have been a long way round just to visit Mr Lim and have his fish and chips. He has the best memory once something is ordered he will always ask if you want it on your next visit. Nothing is too much trouble for him all the staff are helpful and kind its a must.

I have tasted the fish and chips from both chip shops in Loddon and Mr Lims is by far the best. If you are looking for a quick supper then go no further. Would highly recommend.

Always excellent quality - never soggy chips and always a friendly face. Have tried most of the chip shops in the area and now don't go anywhere else even though I have to travel to get there

Having recently moored up in Loddon on a boating holiday we thought we would try a fish and chip supper from this take away , as it was quite close to the river and looked very quaint ,this however is all we feel it has going for it. We found our cod and chips to be very mediocre and little bit soggy. We will be returning to this area later in the Summer for another boating holiday and a visit to Loddon will be a must do, but this time we will wander further into the High Street to see what else is on offer

Regularly get takeaway from here. Always perfectly cooked and a great price too. The best haddock in norfolk. Friendly staff and owner who always remembers me and asks after my family.
