My first time back for 6 years when Carorline still used to serve the "Naughty breakfast" in their old premises across the road. Now replaced by 3 others which includes the "Large breakfast "which is a feast. Consistent quality over three visits in a fortnight & a lovely warm welcome every time. Worth a trip all the way from Africa.

Rosy Lee's Tea Rooms have closed and is now Another business. It had to happen sometime, An end of a fantastic tea room were you could get nice food and a nice pot of tea with a piece of homemade cake. Served by a nice lady. I wish Caroline best wishes and a happy retirement.

I had a wonderful stop on my Saturday solo bike ride, from Norwich, on my beloved gravel bike. I had a pecan flapjack that was out of this world. So much chocolate coating too. Sheer bliss. Caroline, the owner, let me lock my bike up at the side and we chatted about cycling. I think that I have found my new, favourite, teashop and will be back with the bike buddy soon. Despite the wind, I got back to Norwich, the pretty route, fuelled by flapjack.

We just popped in for a sandwich - what a delightful cafe! Very friendly and helpful service, a delicious veggie breakfast bap brought out to where we were sitting next to the river - beautiful scenery too. The lady serving couldn’t have been more helpful, even buying vegan spread for us instead of butter. A delicious vegan fruit crumble to finish - would definitely recommend.

We booked High Tea for Two on what turned out to be a very wet day. They kindly packaged up our tea and gave us two take away teas so we could enjoy it in the dry. A great selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones and they were able to accommodate an allergy with no fuss. The food was delicious and a very generous amount. Would definitely recommend it.

Sadly loddon has lost one of its greatest meeting places. Rosy Lee's was always popular with locals and visitors alike for a chat and friendship as well as excellent food and drink. Whilst seating inside not viable fortunately the garden offers seating and food delivered to you when ready with a smile. We had lovely breakfast to start the day the right way. Need to keep supporting her till she can get back to normal service.

When my brother stays with me in Loddon he always makes a beeline for this place. He took me in there once [I am not a cafe person but he is] and there obviously great food & value & always busy. I popped into here for a coffee as my family were fishing opposite. I ordered a latte and a blackcurrant crumble slice. Both were lovely. The lady was welcoming and made you feel at home. She asked if I wanted a paper to read. I explained I had come in to get warm. When I went to leave she produced a hot water bottle and asked if I wanted to borrow it I said no it's OK. Moored up in Loddon overnight and came here for breakfast before leaving for the day. Sarah had a very generously sized bacon and mushroom bap, and I had the same in a sandwich. We don't often drink tea these days, but I plumped for a pot of tea which was perfect. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and were bid an equally warm farewell when we left. All in all, a great breakfast in a lovely, friendly little cafe, with lots of works from local artists hung on the walls. We also bought a couple of pieces of Toffee Fudge cake to have with some coffee later on our travels, which was very nice! We highly recommend Rosy Lee's Tea Room

One of our favourite, fairly local places to visit. Everyone is soooo friendly, Billy is such fun and Caroline is always eager to please. Her Rosie Lees special is fab and really big enough to share. Do add the home made chilli sauce....hot hot hot and delicious. Fantastic home made cakes. Coffee and tea pots refilled. Nobody could leave here hungry or dry. This lady works non stop but at last has given in and closes one day a week now.Very quirky little, and be prepared for little, cafe. A good idea to book a table if you are tied to a time scale. Outside service is available in a tiny garden area across the road. Your order will be brought to you in a basket or hamper and in cold weather complete with hot water bottles to snuggle with. Mix and match everything, lots of local artists work hung on the crowded walls, all for sale at very reasonable prices. A real asset to the village community. We love it and know you will too.

Whilst out on a cycle ride we decided to go to Loddon for fish n chips but were disappinted to find it was closed. After cycling through the town we came across Rosy Lee’s tearoom. We were greeted by very friendly staff and the menu choice was very good. We decided upon homemade sausage rolls; scones with jam and butter and a pot of tea for two. We could’ve sat inside or outside the cafe but decided to go to their private picnic garden across the road which was very pretty. Our large pot of tea, china cups and saucers and warm sausage rolls were soon delivered. Followed by our warm homemade fruit scones. Everything was perfect and it was the ideal fuel to get us home. We left feeling relieved that the fish n chip shop was closed. Our bill was £11.70 which we felt was extremely reasonable. We will definitely return - thank you.

A planned brief visit to this quirky tea room, on arrival I was quizzed by the locals as to what the rolled piece of paper I had in my hand- frankly none of their business ! My order was taken followed a young assistant who also tried to take my order, eventually when all was sorted I decided to venture over the road to Rosy Lees gardens situated behind the carpark toilets, The Garden was down at heal 10 elapsed my bottle of drink arrived I could have taken that over my self ! followed 20 minutes later by the foot long Hot dog and red onion rings . It was dire, one of those jarred wikinger types split open and fried wringing with grease( these are normally warmed up in boiling water or microwaved) unit price less than 50p each it was nearly £5, considering the poor quality for the Hot Dog plus the cold drink, better value will found else where .

Rosy Lee's is one of the best tea rooms in the UK. It has won numerous awards and Caroline the owner is the nicest person you will ever meet. I am lucky to be able to be a regular here. Yes it is indeed small but that is what makes it so unique. Who wants a massive, cold, emotionless, unsociable cafe?? If that is what you want go to Starbucks or Costa as at those places you are just a number and not treated as a person. If you go to Rosy Lee's you get treated like a king/queen. The food is absolutely top quality and is all locally sourced which again makes it stand out from other competitors. All food is cooked to order which makes it all fresh and well worth the wait. The staff who work there are extremely friendly and Caroline actively looks after customers needs as well as cooking the food. I cannot recommend this place enough. It suits all ages. The locals make you feel very welcome too. My aunt loves going there when she visits and always asks when are we going back. This alone says it all as my aunt is extremely fussy and has very high standards!!! Thank you Caroline for everything that you do for the community and for your amazing tea room!!

We were given an Afternoon Tea for Two gift voucher for Christmas, and choosing Rosy Lee's tea room was an excellent decision. We wanted a tea-room as they used to be, clean, bright, cosy and friendly. We were telephoned by the owner the evening before to check on preferences for sandwiches and cakes, and when we arrived a table had been set aside, beautifully laid out just as country afternoon teas used to be. We were made to feel really welcome in a very unique little tearoom where service and customer satisfaction really do matter to Caroline and her staff. The tea was not tiny overpriced sandwiches and minuscule cakes but lovely tasty cromer crab, egg and cheese selections, scones with strawberries and fresh cream, generous slices of home made cakes and regular top-ups of the tea-pot. It was impossible to eat it all - never mind - we were given a cake box to take the remainder home in together with an extra specially made 'jammie dodger'. If you want friendly faces, to feel included in the conversation and laughter and to have that warm feeling just like after visiting friends then look no further - however busy there is always a smile and a welcome and everyone tries so hard to ensure you are happy, thank you Caroline for the delicious tea and thank you Amy for the lovely table setting.

since my original review on September 3rd, We have continued to visit today included to where we are now regulars and see many familiar faces when we visit. The unique selling point here is the uniqueness of the place from the small from, the paintings on the wall and the friendly staff , Caroline the owner is always fretting about ensuring everyone has what they ask for it at all possible, do they run out on occasion of course they do, do they get it right all of the time, every time ? No, nor does any other place I have ever visited from the cosy unique tea room to Michelin starred restaurants. the point is how they react, in my experience Caroline and her staff always try their best, I'm not expecting Michelin stars but have always received a warm welcome a smile form all of the staff and attentive dining, well cooked food and extras where Caroline thinks the its not quite right even I thought it was fine. I couldn't ask for any more, I'm pleased to say I'm a regular, for those that now me that says it all.

We entered an empty cafe on a Saturday afternoon. The staff did not want to serve us cream tea, as the owner was not there. The staff explained that they could not serve cream tea as 'fancy', as the owner normally does. After convincing the staff that we just wanted a pot of tea, scones, cream and jam, they reluctantly agreed. Our table overlooked the car park across the road. It was unfortunate that our pot of tea was spilt over our table as it arrived. We could smell the out of date cream before it was laid on our table. At the main counter I returned the scones, jam and cream and explained that the cream was off. Without saying anything, the member of staff returned the food to the kitchen and I overheard the conversation between the staff members, which confirmed that the cream was out of date. I was offered an alternative and selected a cheese scone. Being offered a microwaved, soggy cheese scone and told that there would be no additional charge for the cheese scone, was confirmation that I would never grace this establishment again. I can not believe we were charged £5.25 for spilt tea, off cream, food that we didn't and couldn't eat.

Popped in this afternoon after reading great reviews on line. I knew it would be small from the pics (about 14 seats with more outside). We got a lovely table with a heater underneath and were welcomed in by Caroline and her lovely staff. We were made to feel comfortable and struck up conversations with our table neighbours. Atmosphere was friendly, cosy and the food was even better. We had a cheese and onion toastie and a piece of cake each washed down with a mocha and filter coffee. Delicious, good home baked/cooked produce. We even got takeout apple pie.Caroline couldn't do enough for her customers, lending hot water bottles as it was freezing outside and providing books on the local walks. We'll be back for sure.

I always visit Rosy Lee's tea room whenever I visit my grandmother who lives in Loddon. The food is always no less than outstanding with Caroline happy to tailor your meal to your specific tastes. The atmosphere is warming and welcoming with a true community spirit present. It is clearly apparent that Caroline puts her whole heart and sole into her tea room and values the experience of each and every customer. Ignore the nit picker reviewers comments, this little cafe is a real asset to the local community!

We went to scatter parents' ashes in Loddon and Chedgrave on a lovely Tuesday afternoon in October. Afterwards we came to Rosy Lee's for a cream tea, to remember both parents who had lived in Chedgrave for 20 years. Caroline, the owner, opened just for us and served scones, jam, clotted cream, fresh strawberries, and delicious and bottomless tea. One of us wanted scones without sultanas, and they were on the plate as if by magic. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks Rosy Lee, and Caroline. We'll be back.

A lovely quaint little tea room. We called in for a hot drink and the hot chocolate was delicious. There was a lovely selection of cakes and the menu board catered for every taste from sandwiches to brunches and light lunches. We will be sure to visit again!

This high tea was booked as a present for my husband and incorporated it as a couple of days away. Well, the high tea didn't was fantastic. The best I've seen anywhere. We had three choices of fresh sandwiches. Scones which were warmed with jam, cream and fresh strawberries. Four different slices of cakes, all of which were a generous size. As much tea as we could drink and all served by Caroline, the owner, and her friendly team. The tea room is very small so if you want a high tea you need to book well in advance. They serve other things in the tea rooms as they are open all day. Great choice for a great tea.

This place is a very friendly quaint tea room come cafe, you have to wait as the food is cooked fresh, the staff bend over backwards to make sure your visit is enjoyable, I had my teapot filled up twice free of charge (that never happens in London), there is a very good menu catering for all kinds and the cake selection is unbelievable, so many to choose from.Well done to all that work there and the owner who has time to talk to all of her customers. On our departure we were given a free ticket for a bowl of soup, bread and a free egg on every 2nd Thursday of the month which they help sponsor along with a farmer (hence the eggs), what a great idea :-)Would highly recommend if your in the area especially on the broads.GREAT WORK cant wait to visit next time.

Wanted to sit by the river for lunch so called in and ordered sausage baguette, carrot cake and apple pie. Sausages cooked fresh so 10 min wait and it was well worth it. Great sausages and cake and excellent service. Reasonable price for great food and service.

Having a week on the Southern Rivers of the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads. A visit to these rivers is not complete without visiting Rosy Lee's Tea Room. The food is, as always, great and the service brilliant. Nothing is ever too much trouble. This includes them nipping down to the fishmongers to get crab for a sandwich if you request it. Even the wonderful Betty's of York (which in my modest opinion is the best tea rooms in England) would not do that! The wi-fi is an added extra, and unlike many places (including Weatherspoons Beccles) it works so well.If you are anywhere near RL's you need to call in. If you want their splendid afternoon tea you need to book in advance.

Caroline and her ladies gave us a lovely warm welcome to her establishment. We were given a 'High Tea' experience as a gift and decided to use it here. We were not disappointed - 3 types of sandwiches, large scones with clotted cream, strawberries and strawberry jam. THEN... carrot cake, chocolate fudge cake, coffee and walnut cake & Victoria sponge. We were hungry as we'd only had a small breakfast and ate the lot as we had also driven 2 hrs. I had earl grey and hubby had English tea. I had previously asked if only half the sandwiches could be made with butter as I'm allergic which was no trouble for Caroline at all. We were asked frequently if we needed topping up with tea and plates were cleared nothing was too much trouble. Locals friendly. It is a small place but has a big heart. Thank you ladies

Dreadful ‘brunch’ experience Extremely poor customer service, one menu for 3 people, lack of interaction and information with a misleading menu. States they had a ploughman’s sausage roll which when we order we were told it wasn’t available. No signs as to what the cakes were, asked, the one we wanted although there were some on display were then ‘unavailable’ Ordered 2 diet cokes as husband is insulin controlled diabetic, 2 large glasses of coke arrived, I took a sip, and questioned what coke it was to be told she had indeed served us ‘normal’ coke….potentially very dangerous!! When the diet cokes then did arrive they were half the size of the original ones… There was also no ice. Cheese scone ordered, arrived dry and solid. There were only 3 other people in the cafe besides us 3, and we waited a ridiculous amount of time for food and drinks. When the toastee arrived rather than walk an extra few steps she lent over the banister, and 2 of our party to pass to me at the far end of the table when she could of just walked round and put it down in front of me. Overpriced and food disappointing compared to other local cafe’s. This was the first time we had visited and it will most definitely be the last. Give this terrible establishment a very wide berth!

Such a wonderful place. The cakes and pastries are absolutely top notch. Also, usually find it difficult to get decent coffee in this country, but the coffee in Teles Patisserie is so good, really rich and flavoursome. Realky friendly people too. I'd fully recommend a visit.

A Roasting Good Time This little pub is a hidden gem. Their roast dinner is the stuff of legends. The meat is cooked to perfection, the veggies are spot on, and the Yorkshire pudding is fluffy and golden. The gravy? Divine. If you're a fan of a good roast, this is the place to be.

One of the very best places to eat in Norfolk excellent food ,service and value. It's a really shame they don't serve alcohol. A glass of red wine would have gone down a treat with a beef pangang curry

First time in this cafe, food arrived quick and hot, waitress very friendly. Didn't like watching a dog sitting on a seat eating from a bowl at the table. Put me right off my food. Waitress did tell them no dogs but they still stayed.
