The best restaurants in Whitehouse Rochford East of England

What an amazing restaurant. We live in Rayleigh and I can’t believe we haven’t tried this place before. Service was so lovely and attentive. And the food was incredible. Amazing favours. We will so be back. If you haven’t tried this place before then do yourself a favour and do so!! Thank you for an amazing meal!

We pop in here every month for Breakfast/Brunch. Their food is fantastic and the sandwiches are the best we have ever had. The Staff are happy and welcoming and it's just a wonderful place to while the time away.

Marco’s food and service is absolutely first class, in a lovely setting too. Try the coconut prawns - you won’t be disappointed. Fantastic restaurant.

Lovely place to stay, no bar but a good Harvester right next door for food and drink.

Definitely the best Chinese takeaway in the area. Very big portions, very tasty and great value for money. We always pick up and the food is ready and very hot. Love the Singapore rice noodles and the duck, only two of our favourite meals there. Highly recommended.

I have been here for lunch many times now and every time I have visited it just gets better.. Food is always fresh. The homemade cakes are absolutely gorgeous! Generous portions. Atmosphere is relaxing and cosy . Staff attentive and polite. The shop downstairs is lovely too. Nice to have a look around and see some unusual items for sale..

Actually have the cheek to charge £5 for entry!!! Like REALLY!!! It was awful…terribly outdated music, no atmosphere. Don’t waste your time or money.

We visited around 1.10pm. The restaurant was busy, and running out of food. Tables were left with dirty crockery on it so difficult to find an empty and clean table. Very limited menu, and quite expensive.

What a disappointment.. I thought the woodmans may have changed for the better since being taken over but sadly not.. the pub was completely empty apart from the 2 staff and a 7 year old boy (new owners son) while he went shopping. Even on his return he did not interact with his son and left it to the bar staff to babysit. My partner lit a cigarette in the shelter of the doorway with the intention of moving away but we were promptly told to ‘get out of my pub’… no problem Mo… we won’t be returning. By the fact that the pub was completely empty indicates that Mo needs to learn some manners and customer service skills
