The Fat Pizza in Rochford

Ordered for the first time tonight and both pizza were so dry, both had no sauce on them. One was meant to have bbq drizzled on it and the American hot I ordered had no based sauce with it, both were dry and bland!

We just had a Fat Pizza and sides of jalapeno mozzarella bitea, curly fries and garlic bread. Delivered promptly. Hot and delicious.

Ordered a pizza and a pizza garlic bread. It was the blandest, tasteless pizza I've ever had, same with the garlic bread. Not much cheese and it didn't even taste like cheese whatever was on there. Gave it a go as i heard it was new owners, won't be ordering again, on the plus side, the driver was nice

Pizza was so soft and tender. I really loved the pizza the best pizza I had in this recent time. Waffle was extremely good. Enjoyed it. I will definitely order more from now 😍😍.

This place is now under new ownership/management. We had a Fat Desi vegetarian pizza which was excellent flavours. Never had a pizza with a masala sauce base before. Italian/Indian fusion. It looked fantastic - especially with the mint yoghurt drizzle. Lovely and really tasty. I think the new guys will bring this business back to where it ought to be. They will be getting more 4 & 5 star reviews for sure.

Poor quality and extremely late delivery

Not ordered for ages as I heard the owner was ill and it temporarily shut... So thought I'd give it another go as I've enjoyed their pizza in the past.... Mmmmm. Lovely and it didn't take long to arrive still nice and hot, the delivery man said they were up and running again with new management and staff... 1st choice again!!

Almost never on time, but I don’t really care. If you’re just interested in good pizza and sides, with no real time restraint, then it’s the place to go. People critique it as if it’s Dominoes, but it’s a lower price pizza outlet with some great deals and even better flavours. The pizza is so good that almost every time I order it my dad turns up at my door with the milk asking for forgiveness.

Ordered from Rayleigh. Order accepted then 5 mins before delivery due, they cancelled the order. Avoid avoid.

Shower of s***! Allowing customers to order food when the place is not even open! Now I have to wait for a refund. I was really hopeful for Fat Pizza- they had rubbish service when they started but seemed to be improving. My daughter loved their food so I persevered for her sake. This is the final straw for me. Nobody's food is so good that they can keep people waiting so long for it, and to allow people to order when the place is shut is unforgivable. Not everybody has the money to order from elsewhere whilst they await a refund- I'm lucky that I do. But its for those who don't that I write this review.

Never used to be this bad. Hardly any topping and extremely overpriced. Was so late arriving and cold by the time it got delivered. Very rude and unhelpful staff . Would never order again

Don't order from here. It states delivery in 40mins on their site. Ordered at 6.17pm and finally received it at 7.53pm! Excuse was "it's busy as it's Saturday" (like every Saturday?!) I called 3 times with no real apology and no compensation or way of trying to keep me as a customer. The delivery finally arrived and it was warm (not hot). I won't be ordering again.

Placed a large order recently relatively late, but it was within reasonable time for order to be prepared. The order was rejected 20 after it was placed. Called multiple times only for there to be no answer. Won't waste my time again.

Free item was removed from order. Contacted many different numbers and sent a couple of emails that were seemingly ignored. Better off going with Pizza Gogo, Dominos or anyone else if you live in Rayleigh or one of the neighboring towns. Very disappointed with the poor customer service. I was a repeat customer. Ordered last night paid by card waited an hour nothing turned up tried to call the restaurant nobody was answering phones was calling for 30 mins before eventually giving up and going hungry. We ordered 3 gluten free pizzas for our daughters birthday party. 2.5 hours later. We called back and were told the order had been cancelled, as there were no more gluten free bases. No communication whatsoever. Thanks a bunch Sh*t Pizza.

So, this afternoon I ordered one BBQ Fat Alone deal and an extra large meat feast. The deal came with coleslaw and curly fries and two drinks. I put the order in, around 4pm for a 6pm delivery including extra mushrooms and BBQ sauce. The driver rang me at 6:17 and said he was five minutes away and the delivery turned up at 6:25. This was after I had been told that it was on it's way at 6pm for a seven minute journey) and there was no coleslaw with the order, very very little amount of BBQ sauce, about three pieces of mushroom and three halves of meatballs. And the fries were soft and squidgy. My partner is diabetic so had already taken her insulin around 5:45. The pizzas were very bland and I think they just use the cheapest cheese that you can get. It basically tasted like a very mild cheddar. I ate about a third of my pizza, because I was very hungry and my partner ate about the same, even though she had taken quite a bit of insulin, expecting the pizza to be as good as previous ones we had bought. I rang the shop after eating to enquire about the missing coleslaw and tell them about the food and they offered a £10 credit to use in the shop. As if I'm going to be using them again. When I said no thanks, the man basically slammed the phone down on me. Buy from here at your peril.

Don’t bother! I ordered one of their cookie dough desserts and wish I hadn’t bothered. It was cold to start with, the cookie dough tasted like day old kebab meat, absolutely vile. Threw it in the bin after the first bite, made me feel sick.

Worst pizza I've ever had. Came through burnt and cold, an absolute joke of a pizza. How did anyone send that out and think it was okay? I rang the store and he didn't seem to care much and acted as though he was use to getting complaints. Waited over an hour for my food then called up to ask where it is to then be told it’s been delivered when it clearly wasn’t. The lady was useless told me I was lying and couldn’t help at all then hung the phone would never order from there again. Costumer service is atrocious!

Generic filth!!! The burgers are absolutely disgusting. Straight from a packet. garlic bread wasn't even the same as in the picture. the buns weren't toasted on the burgers. the chicken wings were pink in the middle. The shakes look ok but I'm throwing them away anyway. End of the day extremely overpriced don't call yourself the fat Burger company and don't even make the fing burgers.

Been waiting 2 hours for a delivery. Called up twice and the only response I had was “it should be there in 15 minutes” no customer service either. Used you a lot before. Sad to see your service decline. No very good on a Monday day

Bit of a wait so add aboit 20 to 30 mons to waiting time......but worth the wait food was top quality.

I ordered from here... whilst waiting I read the reviews. Ekkk all 1 star very uncomplimentory reviews. I had a tin of beans on standby.... but. My food arrived in good time and was hot. The burger was very nice and the milkshake was lush. Cheesy garlic bread good also. Is it worth the money emmmm it's a bit pricey for what it is but it certainly doesn't deserve all 1 stars. 4 from me.... oh and the delivery driver was lovely too. Oh and I am always super fussy.

OMG Excellent Burgers you will most definitely end up wearing it if your not careful but i love a messy burger, i like the fact that the burger box opens up just like a plate for your Burger. Nice big juicy thick burgers definitely not a kebab shop burger, sorry no pictures we scoffed the burger beforehand 🤣🤣 x

Would give 0 stars if I could, ordered through deliveroo at 9.55pm, said would arrive at 10.35. 11.00pm still not arrived so decided to call- restaurant shut at 11pm. Absolutely fuming, still tried to call them, phone hung up on me and then after calling again it went to voicemail which was full so couldn’t leave a message. Checked my account and money has been taken and deliveroo says that they are ‘working on my order’. Disgusting operation they’ve got and will not be ordering from them again and will be asking for a refund- it’s now 11.15pm and still no order!!!!

This is NOT for the restaurant, but for the delivery service. We used Fat Pizza over the years many times, as of late the quality of the pizzas have gone down hill, the cost of the pizzas are sky rocketing and we put an order in of £46 and didn't even receive our order, still arguing with Just Eat to get a refund!! This is one customer they have lost, and reading the reviews I can't see them being able to sustain the business. I went to Tesco in the end and bought 6 pizzas, mozzerlla bites and Jalapeno bites, all for under a tenner.......

I wouldn't be surprised if they spat in my pizza, it would have been the majority of the topping. I ordered what was called a Meat Feast. There's more letters in the title of that than meat itself. I went for over £30 to get free delivery to only then notice a service charge afterwards because my attention was taken away by the bag fee when it doesn't come in a plastic none reusable bag or any bag. I'm sat here eating this thing anyway but I'm looking at what looks like out of date frozen chicken cubes. I think for my own health I should stop eating this disappointment right away and go and throw up. Fat pizza wasn't that bad a few years ago but the last 2 times I've had it it's been awful. Think I'm done with this company. My wife's pizza must have only had 5 tiny pieces of pineapple on it as well ... personally I think it serves her right putting pineapple on a pizza but it's besides the point. ... Swerve these clowns at all costs...

These guys just shouldn't be running a business. They are a complete joke. Waited an hour for my delivery. Called to chase and was told in an almost accusatory tone that they hadn't received my order, argued with me about this for a good few minutes, only to change their mind and say they had received it after all (no apology for confusion or lateness though!). Food arrived completely COLD AND DISGUSTING. The desert came with ice cream that was basically liquid. I called to request a refund and was told to email the request, which I did, but i've been ignored. Unluckily for them I'm a qualified journalist so I know my consumer rights. Not only will I be seeing if I can do a news piece about appalling customer service locally, which of course will feature them as the focus, I am also lodging a complaint with the retail ombudsman. I ENCOURAGE ANYBODY WHO HAS HAD BAD SERVCE FROM THEM TO DO THE SAME. They will be significantly fined if there are multiple complaints and they will possibly lose their licence.

Would give zero stars if I could. Do not order from this restaurant. Once they have your details you constantly get spammed with offers. You have to text a premium number that charges £3 to reply to stop... And it doesn't stop!

Dont eat here waited ages for it to turn up to then open the box to 3 garlic breads with cheese and one slice without. The pizza was so doughy and bland it was disgusting only ate one slice made me feel sick the sausage on it was horrible and half a tub of bbq sauce all over it. It werent particularly hot either. It was tasteless and discusting. They then refused to change my pizza for ages to then giving in but then that came all mangled in the box. We ordered at 6.10 and it didnt arrive til 7.20 then the replacement one didnt arrive til 8.30ish with our cookie dough just sat there the whole time. We then gave the replacement back straight away as opened it in front of the driver and it was all mangled in one corner. Lost my appetite after all the muck around and tasteless food. It was all thrown in a box. The only decent thing was the dips and the drink. Dont waste your money order pizza somewhere else. They said they couldn't refund us because we paid cash on delivery. We have order number proof of purchase and they have proof their end to. Its a joke. They could have sent the cash we gave them back to us but they didnt. Ill be going trading standards about them and citizens advice. Not a very good company thought id try something different and wish i never. Ill be sticking to what i know best in the future.

Lucky to get 1 star. One of the worst burgers I've ever had. Absolutely tasteless, overcooked and dry as a bone. And if that was an 8oz burger then I'm JC himself. I opened the fancy box and first thought I had the wrong burger. I couldn't believe I was being charged nearly £10 for what I was looking at. A word of advice. Putting a rubbish burger in a fancy box doesn't make it a good burger. It's window dressing and your customers see through it. All the food was lukewarm, if you can't deliver warm food then don't bother. I don't understand how you manage to make a burger with several different ingredients on it and it doesn't taste of anything. My burger had 3 pathetic little mushrooms on it. Businesses like The Fat Pizza in Rayleigh make me angry. Not only do they waste your time and your money, but they take business away from good operators who take pride in what they do and who produce a good, consistent product. Judging by the other reviews I'm not so sure they're going to be around for very much longer. And maybe that's not a bad thing. Avoid!

I didn't want to have to say this but people if you want good pizza that turns up on time, don't order from here. An absolute joke of a pizza business where a pizza ordered just after 4.39 still isn't here at 7.23. They started off so well......but honestly, don't bother. Save yourself the issues.

We ordered food and yes we appreciate it was Friday but the length of time waiting was ridiculous, items were missing and food was cold, would rather be told the wait times and decide then if we would order than he told a time and it be much later

Honestly probably the worst service Ive ever had, was waiting for 2 hours for just a dessert and then when it turns up the one other simple thing they need to put in the box with the dessert was ice cream and they couldn’t even get that right, The refund was only credit which you can only use with them which I won’t be doing anytime soon, this has happened a few times now and to also my friends who have used them, benefit of the doubt a few times but just seems to be the norm for this place so never again

The food was eaten out of pure hunger and inability to wait any longer for food. Third call 19:28 Staff were polite and offered to send the order again. Having already waited a long time and having a young child who was hungry I declined this offer. I only requested the dessert that we hadn’t received be sent again. I requested a refund and was told the only way to obtain this would be by sending an email. Summary: Staff were the only positive quality about the experience. The staff were apologetic but unable to offer much in the way of compensation. I query their training given the fact that were unable to find my order on the third call and left me on hold in silence for a 3-4 minutes. Then they were unable to facilitate a refund on the phone and I as a customer who had already had a negative experience had to go to extra effort to receive compensation. I believe the food would have been satisfactory had it arrived at a hot temperature. The only thing that could encourage me to try the fat pizza again would be a full refund. The desert didn't turn up until 2100. Over 24hrs later and I've recieved no response to my complaint. Absolutely shocking!

I ordered from here last night. I got a XXL pepperoni stuffed crust meat feast and a couple waffles and desserts. The food was delicious And especially that it came in 35 minutes. Although one of our cheesecakes were missing the lady i spoke to, Holly, was really helpful and within 15 minutes I had my cheesecake delivered. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (I don't normally write reviews but I don't think the reviews on here reflect my experience)

Don’t Believe there misleading offers. Evidently there is small print somewhere that gets them out of honouring them. Customer service is a absolute joke run by a third party company that couldn’t give a hoot... I WILL NOT BE USING THE FAT PIZZA AGAIN !!!!...

Terrible waiting time I placed using the app which I was told ab hrs waiting after 1 20mins I called the restaurant to ask where my order was I was told there were busy and was told need to wait futher 15 mins. Half an hour goes by and still waiting 🙄 also there app is meant to say where your order is and when u see outstanding see at the restaurant is a joke. I would give zero stars 🌟 if I could Never use this company again and i advise others to avoid. If I could give zero stars I would! Ordered through just eat and the service was shocking, restaurant denied they got my order despite accepting it through Justeat. Never got the food after waiting over an hour and trying to speak to speak to them, staff were very unhelpful and have logged a complaint with Justeat. Absolutely shocking service!
