We pop in here every month for Breakfast/Brunch. Their food is fantastic and the sandwiches are the best we have ever had. The Staff are happy and welcoming and it's just a wonderful place to while the time away.

I have not visited the Yard since it was redone, and so me and my girlfriend, were looking for a cuppa and bite to eat, so we said "lets try" have glad I was, we had just missed the breakfast menu but I had a sourdough toastie, and my GF had an egg sandwich, and we both shared some "cheesy chips" - we knew it was going to be good because of the presentation, and the the food lived up to the presentation as well, it was amazing, next step is to try and get there before breakfast finishes !! lovely place.

Cute little cafe with a nice twist on breakfast items. Had the bagel eggs Benedict, very filling and tasty. Partner had the ham and mushroom omelette with salad, I had food envy. Nice staff, cozy atmosphere.

My friends and I usually come here every so often for coffee, and we all meet up for Christmas each year and go for dinner. So as The Yard does Mexican food in the evenings we decided to go there. This did not disappoint in the slightest, during happy hour we were served our cocktails promptly and they all tasted fresh and home made. The Christmas set menu was a wonderful idea which entailed three courses of flavourful Mexican food. It was clear the staff were working so hard to make the service outstanding. The only negative I have to say is about some customers. From what I’d gathered from speaking to the owners afterwards because we were all appalled at the way these girls had acted towards the staff, they thought the cocktails in happy hour were two for one, when explained it was 2 for £15 as it says at the front of the building, they refused to pay the 10% service charge, when the owner asked why due to wanting feedback on what was wrong with the service, they didn’t have a reason they just didn’t think the cocktails would be that expensive as they’d misunderstood the happy hour deal, then they started raising their voices and began personally attacking the owners and their business. The owners and staff dealt with this very well which is why their service is always perfect.

Wow is all I can say. The food was really good and plenty of choice. My daughter has severe allergies and we were asked without being prompted and the lady who came over to ask for more information, made sure my daughter’s lunch was prepared separately right down to the vegan mayo. Made the experience so stress free and nice to be able to relax and enjoy our meal and catch up without worry. Always have excellent service and our dogs are made to feel welcome with treats and water being provided again without being asked. We will be back. Thank you

We are obsessed with nachos and have them wherever we go... the nachos at the yard were the best nachos we have had in years! Definitely add the chipotle chicken. The staff are so friendly and you feel like you're being welcomed into their home. Thanks for looking after us!

We went in the evening for the first time having enjoyed many brunches and a breakfasts previously. The Mexican menu is incredibly well thought out by the owners and the quality of food and service delivered for the price is simply outstanding. Clearly high quality produce and they really care about the way it is presented. Will definitely be going back and also enjoying some more of their happy hour cocktails! I strongly recommend the Old Fashined off the cocktail menu 🙌🏼

First time here after walking past many times and thinking must try this. Great choice of food ,I had a bagel which was spot on and nice to be able to order pot of tea for two for a change . Staff all very freindly and accomodating , will be back and recommend to other friends.

Lovely staff, great food, nice coffee, what more could you ask for! Even gave me the WiFi password so I could do some work. Staff were attentive, warm, and food was really delicious! Can't fault it at all, would come back!

We had a wonderful evening at The Yard, lots of Mexican dishes to pick from the menu, i recommend the burrito with hot sauce! Absolutely delicious, so many flavours. Not to mention the huge drinks menu, you are stuck for choice as to what cocktail to have.. they are all amazing and taste so fresh! The service was fantastic, special shout out to Caitlin! It’s just a great vibe to go with friends and family, and of course we love it because it’s dog friendly, this was an impromptu drinks and dinner after work night so it was great we could bring our dog along for the evening too! When we got to the Yard the waitress was extremely helpful and told us how long the food would be, 20 mins, and asked if that was ok with us. I had the fish finger sandwich which tasted amazing and a large latte which was a very generous size. The price was very reasonable too. I will definitely be coming back.

What an amazing night from start to finish. With a group of friends we didn't know what to do on a Saturday night, so looked for recommendations on here and found The Yard was open and serving cocktails and food. We turned up without a booking in happy hour, and they accommodated the four of us on a spare table. There was a few people in who must come often as they recommend some great cocktails which I have to say we'reade to perfection. Would find it hard to find cocktails this good outside of London IMHO. The food was fantastic, mexican like this isn't something I've really had before as most places do a Tex Mex variation. Food so fresh, and we was told all home made by the restaurant which you can just tell. I had the pork on nachos to start as a sharer with my mate, and it was amazing and charged and so much flavour, followed by a chicken enchiladas which was tender, soft and saucy, just as I love it. Exceptional food, amazing drinks, such friendly service by what we later found out where also the owners, and just an lucky find and brilliant night. Top place here, a great find. Will defo be back soon as they said they are revamping the menu again soon. Can't wait 🤩

My friend and I went for lunch. I had the gammon and cheese toasted sandwich. It was amazing, The gammon was delicious and the cheese was melted perfectly. The berry tea was very fruity and most ebjoyable.

We have eaten here regularly and enjoy it every time. Perfect for just a quick cup of coffee (had the best cappuccino there just today) or for lunch. There’s a great range on their breakfast and lunch menu but I particularly like the homemade pancakes....

Eaten here 2/3 times now and it's been faultless every single time. If they are full up expect to wait maybe 20/25 minutes for your food. The wait is only because everything is cooked fresh and comes out nice and hot. All the staff are lovely, it's also dog friendly. The menu is good and there is lots to choose from. We have eaten and enjoyed coffees here on many occasions but this is the first review. This is an amazing little spot right off the main High Street and its refreshing to see a Mexican twist on some classic dishes. I had the Eggs Mexicana which was outstanding. The Coffee was also the best in Rayleigh by far! Service is always friendly and with a smile. A great small business doing an amazing job! Keep up the good work.

We attended a private party at the yard with family and had a fabulous time. The venue is perfect for an intimate event but surprising how many people you can fit in comfortably also. Staff were very friendly and helpful and food was great!

We ordered milkshakes and toasted sandwiches. The milkshakes were delicious. The food came out fairly quickly, so no delay. I had a brie and bacon toasted sandwich. Was so nice. Bacon nice and crispy too. We will definitely be returning and will recommend
