We had a great experience. Welcomed to visit with a dog (sitting outside). Fantastic food, coffee was lovely, water bowl for our dog. Good value.

So on this sunny day we sat at this pretty lil place No11 cafe, our first experience after seeing all the photos on their insta of the arty foods. We ordered the Croque Madame & Eggs Benedict and .. Nutella & Biscoff French Toast and fruit was a surprise (a lil trial, complimented by the chef ) Thank you chef, our sweet tooth loved every bite! All superbly artfully presented, mouthwateringly delicious, a party in the mouth experience! The service was something you dream of nowadays - friendly with lots of fun and smiles - professional, loveable ppl enjoying their day too! Love this gem of a place and, returning soon ❤️ thank you Noah and yous guys too for a special morning of breakfast fun and extra treat!

This is a delightful cafe - the staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food is lovely. I celebrated a special birthday here with my family, and between us we had the bangkok burger, scrambled tofu, veggie sausage sandwich & traditional breakfast. All very much enjoyed. Also we had banana milkshakes, including a vegan one made with oat milk, which was delicious! The owner is clearly passionate about giving everyone a happy experience and that makes such a difference when dining out. Small touches like the bright flowers on each table added to the ambiance - it really is a beautiful setting. I love the coffee here and we finished our meal with coffees & cappuccinos. The offer of something on the house as a birthday gesture took me by surprise and was extremely kind and generous. We'll be back soon!

A lovely place with extremely friendly staff. Sitting outside is pleasant with heaters, even though you are on a busy junction. Indoor seating available too. Seating is comfortable and you don't feel cramped. The menu is modern brunch and presented very well for classic home cooked style plates. Very popular place, does accept bookings but good for walk ins too. Prices are on the more expensive side but good value portions. Limited parking nearby being close to a school. You can park in Travellers Joy opposite but be aware it's camera controlled.

We had brunch there with two friends, service and food were excellent, cost in line with other places in Rayleigh 👍🏼 definitely recommend this place.

Me, my 3 years old and my mum had the best lunch here today. Delicious food and drinks with warm and friendly service. Since the cafe is under new ownership everything got much better! Such a huge difference in customer service! Highly recommended to anyone who wants to have a nice meal in a cosy environment. Thank you Team!

A very nice place with good atmosphere. Actually gets quite busy in the morning so you might have to wait a few minutes for a table. The staff is absolutely lovely and professional and the food quality was a very pleasant surprise.

Went for breakfast with Family this morning. They were very accommodating and patient with the changes we made. The food was beautiful, hot and well cooked. I was particularly impressed with the scrambled Tofu. The people are lovely and there's a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.

First time I’ve been in cafe 11 since changing ownership. Me and my daughter popped in for my birthday. Management and staff are so welcoming…such a lovely atmosphere. The food was outstanding…and the lovely gentleman gave me a drink and complimentary cake because it was my birthday. Didn’t expect it and made my day feel extra special. Thank you for making me and my daughter smile. I highly recommend this cafe x

First visit to café 11 today and certainly won't be our last, went for a weekday breakfast, great menu with plenty of different options, if you do want a full English that's on the menu, the food is extremely well presented and the coffee was very good, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I understand that the weekends can be busy but being able to go during the week service was really quick.

So refreshing to receive high end, locally sourced, quality food in a relaxed cafe setting. Service was fantastic and a really great atmosphere!

This place remains the numero uno eatery of its type in Rayleigh. First visit in ages today but still very high standards of food and service. The chorizo hash was sublime and all dishes look and taste amazing served by friendly, helpful owners/staff. Keep doing what you're doing Cafe #11!

Visited for the first time yesterday (won’t be the last) fantastic cafe. Food was amazing, had the chorizo hash & shared fries & hash browns. Staff really friendly, nothing was too much trouble and even though it was very busy didn’t feel rushed. Will be back very soon

Came here for breakfast with our friends. Honestly it was awful- we ate it because we were all so hungry and embarrassed but it was vile. Waitresses looked miserable and could hear them moaning about other customers, didn’t even ask if we wanted anymore drinks, asked if they had any burger sauce and was told ‘ I don’t know’ My boyfriend nearly got mugged in Southend Friday night but he felt more mugged by this rubbish meal and service. So expensive for a vile meal. Feel like I’ve eaten a bag of salt.

My first time using No 11 cafe and it will be my last. I ordered 3 drinks which was £10. Went back at lunch time to order food to take away, 3 toasted sandwiches with 3 hot drinks, £30, got back to job site to eat our lovely TOASTED SANDWICHES which wasn't, we had 3 flimsy rubber cheese a piece of tomato and onion in white boring bread, I called the cafe up to tell them and he said that I ordered off menu but still had the right ingredients, the chef was standing there when I ordered so if it was so hard to toast the sandwiches he should have said, I asked if there was any compensation for this terrible lunch and I was told if you come down and reorder he will take off 10%. I should of gone to Tesco's and got us a meal deal each for a third if the price, £40 I spent in cafe no11 today and didnt get any proper compensation or apology. 1st and LAST time of using this place.

Staff were rude so we didn’t even bother to wait for our food to arrive, got told to stand 50 meters away from the cafe to have a vape, it’s also very noisy due to excessive traffic and far too close to the main road, with exhaust fumes filling the air close to the cafe - we wouldn’t return

I always loved this place but sadly I don’t think I’ll go back. I’m currently on maternity leave and on 2 occasions I have been made to feel so unwelcome with my pram by the same male member of staff. I appreciate it’s not huge in there but each time space could have been made for us. It seemed it wasn’t worth the hassle and I was left awkwardly standing at the door, clearly not welcome to stay. It’s such a shame. I was a big supporter during lockdown and was so pleased when they announced they were doing take away again as it has always been our favourite. Saddened former customer.

Really disappointed from our visit. Not only were we left to wait an hour for our food (which was lovely when we got it), after mentioning about replacing the egg with bacon, due to a severe egg allergy, I was still charged for the bacon. Once complaining that we were told the egg could be replaced when placing the order, they said “sorry, that’s not the way we operate”. If you have allergies, THEY WILL NOT CATER.

Ordered traditional breakfast with granary toast (got white) ordered a side of a slice of sourdough and butter (got plain white) everything covered in salt (I don’t add salt) Bueno milkshake was warm and only tasted slightly of chocolate. Order was wrong and for what we got it was not value for money at all!

Never actually ate anything as we couldn’t order a takeaway. Called on a Saturday night on & off for 60 minutes from 5.30 to order food for 4 people which would have cost £60/£70. No response on phone, just rang & said this mail box is full. If they had answered & said sorry no more takeaways then I would have understood but no answer & advertising takeaways Friday & Saturday evenings on their FB page. Very frustrating.

Fantastic cafe! The food is so good! You can get your standard English breakfast but there are lots of other options for foodies seeking something different! You can't book which can be tricky at the weekend but for a Thursday morning in August there were seats available.

The Cafe was no more than half full, but we had to wait 40min from our order being taken to it being served. My wife had an all day breakfast and some of it was cold

I have been a regular of this place since it opened, always loved it & always opt for local, small buisnesses (haven't been in a little while) & I am a full time cafe worker myself but today was an experience I have never witnessed before! Coffee was nice however I ordered the avocado on toast and I couldn't believe it was allowed to have come out the kitchen at all. Extremely small & thin piece of toast with burnt edges, the thinnest layer of avocado which came with no chilli flakes (says it does) the presentation was awful considering I have ordered this dish in the past & it came as a bigger & thicker slice of toast loaded with avocado & was delicious! I am a food blogger and always post your food! Cannot believe you guys charge £9.5 for this! My friends pancakes were black and as the waitress put the meal down she said if they're too burnt I can take them back! They shouldn't have been served to us then! My friend got new pancakes & I ordered pancakes instead of avo so we didn't eat together. My pancakes came out and were nice to start but by the 2nd pancake I cut into it and it was just raw batter, completely uncooked! I told the waitress and said I wouldn't be paying for it so she took it away from me but also said how i wasn't having much luck today... weird thing to say to an already disappointed customer. We weren't offered any drinks and went up to pay where she took off our meals, rightfully so! This place really seems to have gone down hill & it's such a shame. i understand things are expensive & prices have to be ajusted but I can't see how you expect people to be paying the same price for a much lower & smaller quality. I won't risk coming back unfortunately and it's a shame. I also wish I got images to back up my review but it didn't even cross my mind whilst we were in there.

Arrived and took 20 minutes to order as was having difficulty working out what meals could be made vegan. Waited over 1 hour 30 mins for food to arrive for our vegan friend to be served halloumi. Her food was also cold with a fly very much in plain view on the plate. The other two meals of pancakes and chilli eggs were very nice. To wait over an hour with no prior warning is very annoying, but what is more concerning is the way your staff handled the situation. Around 4/5 youngsters all huddled around the coffee machine shooting looks at us watching us get more and more frustrated. No offer of more drinks, we had to go inside to order more drinks multiple times. No apologies for the wait, only once we enquired about how long it would be after the 1 hour 15 mark and only then did we get a very half effort apology from a young girl that looked ready to cry. We wasn’t confrontational at all. I don’t know who the manager was but to send a young inexperienced staff member to deal with a complaint isn’t on. From that moment staff were extremely abrasive. One meal was sent back as it was taken off of the bill but no other compensation was offered. We were in your establishment for over 2 hours and had to shovel down our food in 10 minutes so we didn’t over stay our parking ticket and we thought getting a 2 hour ticket was generous! Thank god we did! If staff had handled this properly I would return but they all need retraining on how to deal with less than ideal situations. Please note I have been waitressing for over 10 years!

Was so disappointed the food has really gone down hill. I had the Bangkok burger and it was so over fried it was burnt and falling to bits with fat dripping out. My mum had the avocado on toast and she could only eat half as it was so bland and tasteless. Such a shame.

We had a really good quality gluten free breakfast. The sausage were delicious, poached egg cooked to perfection and their gluten free toast was not crumbly at all. Will be regulars now

First time I've been to a cafe that doesn't do food. Went at 2pm on a Friday for a late lunch only to be told the kitchens had closed...and they're open till 4pm.

Food was lovely it’s a shame that after we ordered because we made some changes due to dietary reasons that we then could hear the staff talking about us badly as we was only a couple tables away. Just ruined the whole experience and staff seemed to look down upon the customers. Also was only offered 1 drink the whole hour and a half that we was sat there even though as they brought the food over they could see the empty glasses and mugs.

The menu was really varied and the eggs royale was perfect. I would recommend to anyone.

The menu is fantastic. There's lots of nice food to choose from (not too much) and a great variety of healthy choices. The quality and freshness is second to none, and the very polite and helpful service comes with lots of smiles. The location is great - I really can't fault this place... you'll love it!!

Came here last week and food was lovely, but we came back today and we were slightly disappointed. I had the pancakes with maple syrup and bacon - last week they gave 3 pancakes with 2 rashers of bacon, but today I was served just one rasher- which I thought poor value for money (£11 for one rasher of bacon and 3 small pancakes is a bit excessive!). My partner’s burger also came out very rare - it almost looked like minced beef on the plate! We sent it back, but it took a long time to come back out of the kitchen, the rest of the table had already finished eating. Think the staff were possibly overwhelmed as it was very busy today- probably best to go later in the day to avoid the breakfast/brunch chaos.

We have eaten in many Cafés ... Truck Stops ... Breakfast Venue's up and down the country and a huge variety of meals and quality ... My No11 Breakfast was the best presented ever ... the content was all 1st class items and Quality ... Poached eggs perfection ... Will come back again 😎😎😎

Came to the cafe today and had the pancakes with Nutella, strawberries and ice cream… they were DELICIOUS and beautifully presented with a generous amount of toppings. I was too excited to eat them and forgot to take a photo 😢 Would definitely order them again!

Went here for breakfast/brunch. Never been before but family and friends had spoken well of the place so thought we would give it a try. Wish we hadn't bothered. Based on our experience it's overrated and overpriced. No sourdough bread, no mushroom brioche. My wife ordered a pancake stack with maple syrup which arrived with ordinary syrup as they had run out of the maple variety. How can you have pancake stack on the menu and not have maple syrup. My wife hadn't been told of the change it was just served up with no comment. Overall we all felt the food was at best ok nothing special to justify the price list. I had the chorizo hash - cubes of tasteless pork and new potatoes. Could have been eating any meat. When I paid the bill, I was asked if everything was ok and I mentioned the above issues, the response I received was 'no worries'!!!! So no tip. Won't be going again the Hungry Horse across the road gives better value and quality.

What a pleasure to find a menu that is not only good quality but imaginative and interesting. We will definitely be revisiting to try other dishes from the menu.

Disaster experience. Table are sticky and dirty. We were waiting 10 minutes for someone to come just to take the drinks order because we cant order food and drinks together. After another 10 minutes and gentle reminder that we need order we finally succeed. Stil another 30 minutes waiting for a sandwich and eggs.. We waisted more than 1 hour for a simple breakfast in bad condiotion.

Not wheelchair accessible. The ramp onto the deck is always impeded by a chair and there is no ramp into the actual building. When I asked about a ramp, I was offered menu clip boards and in the end, my friend had to assist me with my incredibly heavy electric wheelchair, as staff seemed to just walk away and laugh after I stated that clip boards wouldn’t work. The front door is also impeded by chairs, making even self propelled wheelchairs a no-go. It is a legal requirement to make reasonable adjustments for access (see Equality Act 2010) and if they cannot accommodate wheelchair users, it should not be listed on this site as being wheelchair accessible. Additionally, the service was incredibly slow, despite it being a full staff and very few customers. And the meal was hugely overpriced. Not a good experience in any way.

Went here with friends for the bottomless brunch. Great menu choices, food very filling. Lots of drink choices. Service friendly and attentive. Would return and recommend.

Service extremely slow. We both ordered cheese and ham omlettes - when finally received food, they were plain omlettes. Lady went away and came back and told us that is what we ordered??? We clearly ordered omlettes with toppings. How about just simply apologising and changing the food instead of blaming us for your error. Waited another 10 mins for omlettes to come back with topping thrown on. They were both stone cold as clearly left on side before bringing back out. £27 for 2 omlettes and 2 hot drinks is expensive. Won't be getting our custom again.

The customer service is just dire. I have been visiting Café No. 11 for YEARS. There is usually a bit of a wait but today was the worst experience I think I’ve ever had. Myself, my partner and our toddler son arrived at opening time. There was a bit of a queue but this is normal for this spot. We were seated just after 9. After 25 mins of zero contact we were told they were short staffed. 20 mins later (45 mins after arrival) someone came to take our order. Our drinks arrived shortly after…one was incorrect but we let it go. Now after visiting this place so many times before we know they operate a strict ordering system based on arrival time, so we knew where we were in the queue. Another 20 mins past (so 1 hour 5 mins after arrival) and we saw those who ordered before us served. We told our toddler son, who had waited so patiently, his pancakes would arrive soon and got his bib on. 20 mins later (1 hour 25 mins after arrival) the table who arrived significantly after us and ordered later were served. We promptly stood up and told the staff we were leaving. An apology was offered by a long standing member of staff but the newer person seemed to not even care and was simply more concerned with getting the message to the kitchen. We took our crying son out and went up to Costa. Horrible experience.

Great quality if food, friendly staff, clean trendy surroundings....perfect! This was 4 years ago. I came here recently with my partner Service-very friendly and helpful- no salt and peper bought with food, had to ask Ambience-nice and relaxed Food-such a dissapointment! measly portions for the money I thought- The Buddha bowls used to be such great value-I did'nt complain as I didnt want to upset my partner. We used to look forward to coming here (my partner used to regularly) Main course prices for what are effectively starters. Whats with the sticky surface outdoor tables? Its quite off putting!
