OMG. I found this place by pure accident; the Food was fantastic and there were very big portion sizes. It's a very small sit-in or takeaway. We got a table and ate, shame it's in Great Yarmouth. As it is too far to travel regularly for us.
But will go again if we have to travel this way.
We were recommended to come here to try the chocolate covered strawberries and they did not disappoint! They were AMAZING. We also had the dohnuts which were also delicious.
Staff were excellent, friendly, and polite. We Will definitely be returning next time we visit great yarmouth.
We were greeted by a friendly blonde lady. She made us feel very welcome. Unfortunately there was an asian lady there (possibly the owner) Constantly belittling all of the staff members in front of the customers. The blonde lady forgot to take our menus away and the asian lady made her feel so small in front of us because it. Even going as far as leaning across my partner and snatching the menus while giving the blonde lady a telling off. The food was mediocre. I've had better fish and chips 100 miles inland. The cod wasn't fresh. Not what you expect being so close to the sea. Extortionate prices for what you get! Wouldn't recommend or visit again.
My Husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time on a Saturday evening in April. It was our intention to try it out before bringing a large family group later the following week.
On the positive, we were greeted and seated quickly at our table. My husband ordered a T bone steak and asked for 'medium rare'. The food took AGES to come to the table, nearly an HOUR but when it did we were impressed with the hot plates and the piping hot food. My steak was cooked well and I enjoyed it.
However ,my husband was quick to say that his was over cooked but thought that because the steak was so large maybe it was just the edges. As he got closer to the middle he wasn't enjoying his over cooked steak and pointed this out to the floor manager. He was very apologetic and offered a replacement. We were very reasonable about it and had not made a fuss.
Several minutes later he returned to tell us that as they were very busy there wasn't enough room on the BBQ. My husband agreed to wait. He had been so looking forward to it.
Suddenly the chef swung around the corner and lent over us at the table. He was REALLY AGGRESSIVE and said that the steak was NOT overcooked ( it really was as mine was 'medium to well' and it was the same as mine)
He was practically in my husbands face and was INCREDIBLY RUDE!
My husband told him to forget it then.
We asked the floor manager for the bill and told him what had just happened. He was embarrassed and apologised but by then our evening was ruined. We will NEVER RETURN and that chef really let everyone down that night. Totally unnecessary and upset us for the rest of that evening.

After spending the day at pleasure beach we wanted to eat outside of the park. And Lou’s is directly opposite. We live in Norwich but hadn’t had food from here before. Well we go the family deal and we were not disappointed. At £24.99 it’s an absolute steal. The batter on the fish is just perfect, which is hard to find nowadays. The chips were lovely and the kids ate all of theirs. The only thing I didn’t like was that the skin was left on the cod. But that’s a personal preference and it didn’t go to waste as the husband ate it. Being on a restricted diet this was the perfect cheat meal. Thank you and we will be back.
