Premier Inn Great Yarmouth (Seafront) hotel in Great Yarmouth

The room was clean and everything worked as it should do in there. We were able to park easily on the car park as there were a good amount of allocated spaces. Check-in was very smooth. It was very useful to have sugar/tea/milk stored near reception for customers to help themselves to (other premier inns I have stayed in don't always have this and it's more time consuming having to ask people at reception, especially as there isn't someone always on there the entire time so it's just much easier if you can get them yourself) The shower was good. Registering the vehicle at the self service desk did not work. When we came to it, there was already another's car registration in the box. We took this out and put our car registration in. It then asked how many days we were staying for - this was a confusing question as we were checking in 30.03.25 and checking out 01.04.25, but we did not know if this would class as 2 or 3 days? We put 3 days to be on the safe side and clicked confirmed but nothing happened. It did not say this had been successful or registered. So I asked the receptionist and they checked for us and no it had not gone through.... Good job I said something because if we had just left it and assumed it had gone through we would probably be receiving a fine! This may be the case for the people who put their car registration in before us too if they did not check with reception. The receptionist did it for us on her computer but she didn't come and take a look at the machines which weren't working properly, and when we checked out 2 days later I took a look at them as we left and they still looked the same, so it doesn't look like these have been fixed at all and no 'out of order' signs have been put them on which is not very good. Breakfast was a let down. Unfortunately there were no blueberry muffins both days, and no pancakes on the first day despite these being listed as being available on the menu. I don't think it was a case of they had some out but had ran out by the time we had breakfast (which was 9am, which is not late considering breakfast is available until 10.30am) I don't think there had been any available the entire time because there were no empty trays for them. Even if there had been some out earlier and they had all gone, then more should have been replenished. I don't think this is very good for the price you are paying to have 2 items just not on the buffet and nothing up to say why or offer apologies. The cooked breakfast was barely hot. The first day it was buffet style and the second day cooked to order. Both of these days everything on it was luke warm except for the sausages which were fairly hot. This effected enjoyment and was disappointing. I have stayed in other Premier Inns where I have had both buffet style and cooked to order breakfasts and they have not been as poor as this. The bed was also not as comfy as previous premier inns I have stayed in, the second day I had a really bad back ache because of this.

It was a lovely clean hotel to stay in, staff were polite, welcoming and very helpful when booking meals and needing room cleaned. Nice free car park with plenty of space close walk up the coast to the pier and arcades. Our room had sea view one day we got sea wild seals on the beach, room was clean warm, comfy bed and amazing shower. No noise heard and free WiFi was very good. We ate in the beefeater connected and food and variety of choice was fab but the only weak point was they never seemed to have enough staff and service was quite slow. The meal deal offer was amazing value for money and was helpful when we didn’t want to go out for meals

Had a present stay here, close to everything lovely view if u end up beach side of the hotel. The restaurant is lovely and the staff were very helpful, the gluten free menu for my Celiac disease was brilliant..

The Premier inn rooms are nice and clean as expected and the location on the beach is great too but after visiting the restaurant well!the service was good but the place was quite empty so you would expect that.i pushed the boat out and decided to eat healthy and I went for the salmon fillet.it was honestly the worst peice of salmon I have ever experienced.the salmon was burnt on both sides and tasted like a peice of charcoal to be honest.i mean!salmon should not be burnt on both sides.there is no excuse for this.if you can't cook salmon as a chef then you shouldn't be a chef.im not a chef but I can do 10 times better than this and that's embarrassing.i let the chef know in no uncertain terms that this is not acceptable and shoes a lack of pride in the Job. I will visit the Premier inn again like we do every year but I'm sure as certain I will not be eating in that so called restaurant again.very very poor cooking standards.

We were a family group who visit frequently for lunch. Today there were 10 of us. Our orders were taken by a friendly lady who coped with us all trying to make a decision on what we wanted. The lunchtime menu is excellent value. It is a convenient location with plenty of parking. The staff are always very welcoming and we will certainly return.

Positives: * Reasonable cost IMO (midweek Feb half term stay for 2 nights under £100 for family room). * Comfortable beds. * All staff we encountered were friendly. * Free parking for the duration of your stay BUT if you are arriving after 5pm/6pm, the spaces can be limited where Beefeater customers also use the car park (the section nearest the seafront, not the larger public car park). Could be improved: * Air con - lowest temperature of 19 degrees isn’t particularly comfortable. Windows cannot open so it feels stale * The addition of a mini fridge in the family rooms would be very helpful * TVs could do with an upgrade - a smart tv would have been a good addition

Recently we have stayed in this property during the weekend. Neat and clean room with view. Reasonably priced breakfast. Perfect for family holidays.

My only bug bear was that I was unable to book online for early booking. We arrived at 1pm without booking anything then had to hang around for 2 hours on a very cold day. Don't think this is good customer service.

Been there many time had a great stay

Lovely clean room , very very quiet even though hotel was very busy ,we paid for a sea view which was lovely to wake up to, bed was very comfy and sheets and towels were pristine iron and ironing board in the room and full size hairdryer ,they had 2 bottles of water in the fridge and tea coffee provided with 2 welcome chocolates ,we also had a coffee machine in our room with lush coffee pods ,coffee machine did leak water every time you used it but the coffee was worth it, staff were very helpful and friendly would definitely stay here again premier inn are never a let down 5 out of 5 guys

The room was awful. I had paid extra for the premier plus room and the AC just didn’t work at all. The windows cannot be opened so I was overheating like crazy. On top of that, the carpet in the room was disgusting and had brown stains across it. The staff were friendly and the location was good. The rooms were just a big problem and being the most important part of a hotel, it’s very alarming.

Stayed in a sea view room, absolutely loved it. very clean room. Met sam a cleaning lady in the lift, i did complement on the cleanliness of the room to her. Booked for breakfast as well, which was really good, very good value for money. I will be returning. Thank you premier inn

Stayed here for 1 night at the end of December. The room was not my favourite, the rooms could be better. It was very hot in the room as well. The seaside view was very nice and the location was good. Beefeater is terrible! (See review in beefeater great Yarmouth). But overall, I would stay somewhere else next time I'm at great Yarmouth.

Stayed for our wedding anniversary, the room was excellent, comfortable and well equipped, with a great sea view, and the Beefeater food and service was really good. I would be very happy to return.

The location was perfect for my stroll along the seafront. The breakfast was good. The staff were all very friendly and i will be booking this hotel for my next business trip.

Given incorrect restaurant dining times by reception, so unable to eat before attending an event. Booked in for one night only thankfully, as service in the restaurant was extremely slow - had a 25 minute wait for someone to take our dinner order and was told it would be another 35 minutes until we received our food. Breakfast was no better - they forgot all about us so it was a 40 minute wait for the order to be taken, then another 30 minutes until it was served. In their defence they did waive any charge as an apology for forgetting us, but the food was cold when we finally received it.

The room was overall really nice and well presented, however I was quite disappointed that there was no mini fridge to keep drink or food cold. The air con is very good but the lowest it sits at is 19°, but did keep the room warm and cool when needed. The bed was outstanding very comfortable but I don’t like the fact that the sheets are all white. The staff are very sweet and give amazing service and help!

Stayed with work. Nice clean rooms, I was lucky enough to look out to sea. Quick check in. Only issue was the lifts not working.

1 night stay as visiting family and with premier inns you kind of know what your getting. Lady who checked us in was nice and polite, room was clean and tidy. Mattress nice and clean covers and thats it to be fair. Nice views by the sea. It's a bit of a walk to the main street if your looking for a few arcades, pubs or restaurants or you could walk down the beach. Couple of negatives, which are that the internet is total rubbish, just use your data as it's quicker and don't use the beefeater for food or drinks as its poor. This is part of the hotel

Premier inn is wonderful staff very helpful nothing to much .our room was a utility room due to my arthritis walk in shower and most important a lower bed would stay here again and highly recommend it

Room 323 has a very uncomfortable bed (also very high - sitting on the edge my feet didn't touch the ground) and a faulty air conditioning fan. The lowest setting is 19c. Kept turning off in the middle of the night and was incredibly noisy. Bathroom had seen better days and was a bit grimey. Broken bits. Couldn't open the window for fresh air, but it had a great unobstructed view of the beach which was it's only plus point. No fridge or safe in the room. Given that the fan doesn't go any cooler than 19c, you can open the window for air, and there was no fridge, our stay was very sticky and uncomfortable (31 Aug to 3 Sept). I am a perimenopausal woman with hot flashes, I didn't want to go another night without air conditioning or fresh air, so we checked out a day earlier than planned. Shame. Kind of put a downer on our weekend as we didn't want to stay the full duration we booked, and couldn't wait to go home. Also it's right at the very end of the seafront opposite some industrial areas so if you're walking into town, it's going to be at least 30mins on foot there, and another 30mins back. Has free on-site parking.

There are many things the Premier Inn, Great Yarmouth does brilliantly. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was great (even catering to my Coeliac, vegetarian diet), the service was brilliant, I had a room over looking the sea and, disability access is superb however, the air con is terrible and the room was so warm I couldn't sleep properly. They may as well pay a homeless man to sit in the distant corner of the room and blow in your general direction. I had it set at the coldest (19 degrees) and with the most powerful 'fan' speed but felt no benefit from it. A terrible night's sleep marred what would have otherwise been, a very enjoyable stay.

Let’s get the good out of the way. It was a comfy bed and clean room. Hotel staff were pleasant. The Beefeater, which hosts the only communal area of the hotel in the form of a bar and restaurant was another issue… Contrary to the times listed on the website (linked to that of the hotel), the bar closes at 10. Not last orders but they throw you out and lock the door!!! We stay here between 3 and 5 times a year for a sporting event and this has never been the case before. Travelling as a number of families including children, it is vital that we have somewhere to get together and relax at the end of the day however the rude bar staff member (only one of them, the female on Saturday was pleasant) refused to serve at the bar because he was busy doing orders for the restaurant for 20 minutes and then came the orders to “get out” at 10pm! We were served drinks at 9:55 and then received the demands to leave just 5 minutes later under threat of being barred for the remainder of our stay! It is worth mentioning that this hotel is a considerable distance from any bars, restaurants etc being located in the industrial end of the “seafront”. There was nowhere else to go. I spoke with an elderly couple who were also guests and they stated that they had spent a considerable amount of money on taxis to and from the town and had been going to bed early as they had nowhere to go. On the Friday night, the event ran late and we only arrived back at the hotel at 9pm. The restaurant was open and against our better judgement, due to the time, we decided to eat at the hotel for the second time however when the manager from the previous night told us that the restaurant was full (despite numerous empty tables and countless piled up with uncleared plates of food) we checked with hotel reception who checked and noted the entire restaurant was booked out, something they said they had never seen before. We purchased drinks while we worked out how to feed the children only to see a family enter, request a table and after some tapping on the screen by the manager they were seated. It appeared that the bookings had been manipulated to not allow us to book a table. We were left with no option other than a takeaway pizza delivery outside. “The Beefeater is not part of the hotel” excuse doesn’t wash. They are colocated on every one of their sites and owned by the same company. The websites (including the bar opening times) are linked and the profit goes to the same place. We are part of a group who spends in the region of £10,000 a year in this hotel group however we have been seriously let down by the very poor management of this hotel and associated restaurant.

Right on seafront and if planned in advance you can ask for seaview room. Good for location,.can park up and walk down to all attractions..many to choose from. All in all good stay, friendly staff and ok food

Good service, on the beach, great views, and good breakfast

I stayed in a Plus room. Very nice room, and a view straight out over the beach and sea! The windows didn't open, which would be the only downside, as listening to the sea whilst falling asleep would have been perfect. That said, the room had excellent air-conditioning, which more than made up for a fixed window. Breakfast the next morning was superb, I've yet to have a Premier Inn breakfast that's anything less, they do a fantastic full English! To top it all off, whilst having breakfast, I had a magnificent view across the beach to the sea. Staff were all lovely, polite and friendly. I work in this area once a year, but I'll 110% stay at this hotel again next year.

It's right on the seafront, lots of parking, usual high room standards, clean, well maintained etc. My only problem was being rudely awoken by the heard of bison having line dancing lessons at 6am in the room above, but then it was an eat as much as you like breakfast in the Beefeater so it was possibly the highlight of their holiday. You might think the receptionist would see them trying to squeeze through the door to the lobby and quietly change them to a ground floor room to keep the building balanced. I would comment on the great view, but since I was given a room facing an industrial estate even though the place was very empty, I can't really say I remembered it for the right reasons, but I'm sure the view of the North Sea on the other side is nicer to wake up too. Staff were nice and friendly, much better than the sour faced banshee that evening in the Beefeater who blatantly ignores customers waiting for service at the bar (for orange juice). I can't recommend this Premier Inn enough.

We only had breakfast on 3 days as staying in Vauxhall park, all good till 3rd day when we were told we had to have one cooked breakfast instead of the usual 4 continental and then tried to charge us for a extra child .

Hotel just overlooking the beach gives it a fantastic view. And of course the beds in Premier in are always lovely

Very helpful and friendly staff. Meals were great. Varied choice of meal you could choose from. Value for money. Rooms clean and spacious. Hotel and restaurant clean and tidy.

First time staying at this hotel . The room was good typical of premier inn , with the exception of a hair on the toilet. The thing that annoyed me most was the air conditioning, it was very hot in the room , I woke in the night to turn the air on up but it didn’t seem to be working . Next morning I was told by reception that they turn it off to save money . I had a bad nights sleep because of this but they was not too bothered by that . The Beefeater was a disappointment very basic steak for the cost . Breakfast was chaotic , although the 4 staff were doing their best . Very noisy restaurant. Breakfast food was good .

Stayed here for 4weeks for work. Staff friendly and rooms adequate could do with a fridge in all rooms

1st unlike other Premier Inn Ive stayed in the hotel had control of the AC controls. (HEAT/COOL) the room was either TOO hot or TOO cold. 2nd the room had a LOT of cracked plaster work and in Bathroom the 1st night the shower curtain came off the ceiling. 3rd Why does Premier Inn advertise early check in ? I stayed in 2 in a week both didnt offer this .

Really good beach side location. Our room (family with a travel cot) was clean and comfortable. Sadly did not overlook the beach but you cant mark down for this. Great bonus that they can provide a travel cot if your travelling with a baby like us. Used check in service thus 4 stars. However did have to phone beforehand to check something thus getting a extra star. Nice that it backs onto a sandy beach if your coming with a family. And the meal deal for beefeater is handy.

Usual good service and friendly staff. Location for those on foot from the station is a bit of a drag, but other than that, no issues at all

Stayed in room 4, not very accessible for a wheelchair user to move to and fro and awful to get to reception from room with wheelchair, oh and disabled parking not in front of main door have to struggle from side of building. And would never have meal deal again.

Lovely time spent here. Close to the beach and the town. Lovely tidy and clean hotel. Friendly staff. Would stay here again. Not bad prices either.

Rooms are nice and clean, though service is sub-par with below average desire for assistance, personnel mostly absent from reception, unclear rules & conditions. Beware of check-in/check-out times to avoid finding your belongings in storage spaces around the hotel...

As you'd expect from a Premier Inn. Clean room, friendly service. Room had a great sea view. Bit of a walk to town but regular bus from just over the road.

Stayed in the Premier plus rooms on the top floor. Just a fantastic quiet room. Great views of the sea and the seafront amenities. Checked in using the self service system which was super easy. Only drawback was the lack of WiFi at the time. Car parking wasn't an issue but be sure to park to the right of the hotel and NOT in front as this is a paid for carpark. Easy to get anywhere from here and will definitely use again when I am back in the area.

Excellent. Got upgraded to a Premier Plus. Only slight disappointment was a quite small shower.

We were very fortunate in obtaining a room upon the seaward side of the hotel. Also being upon the third floor we were able to witness some wonderful sunrises and watch passing shipping. There is nothing more than a footpath separating the hotel from lovely sand dunes. We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel's basic wi-fi worked fine throughout our stay (we have had bad experiences with this recently at other Premier Inns). The staff are welcoming, friendly and courteous. We had a great time!
