Great real ale pub! Lots of friendly locals made me welcome. Lovely selection of well kept ales. A credit to Darren, the bar manager. Well worth visiting.

Lovely old pub, my boyfriend took me here for a quiet drink. Very quaint.

Small little back street bar,pleasant interior, good range of cask & craft beers, bar snacks.

Proper nice traditional pub, like going back in time but in a very good way. Beer prices were excellent as was the quality and the range of what was on. Freindly staff, very comfy seats and good pub snacks too. Was only a quick visit but was a nice one. Will be back at some point, hopefully.

The Red Herring is traditional pub, the locals are a friendly bunch and we were made welcome. If we go back to Great Yarmouth we would definitely go back .

Helpful and friendly landlord and landlady who have exceptional knowledge of real ale. Wednesdays and Fridays fresh rolls are served to help soak up the alcohol. Darts and pool are available too.

Decent boozer. Darts, pool, jukebox & low price real ale n ciders. Just the ticket. Good service & plenty of seating. The pub is situated off the beaten track so was devoid of idiots.

This is a great little pub, we go to Great Yarmouth a lot and can't believe it's taken us so long to find this hidden gem, will definitely be returning soon. There's a juke box and pool table, drinks reasonable priced and good ale selection.

Pretty much the perfect pub for me. Great range of real ales, pool table, darts, jukebox, books for sale, cosy decor and friendly landlord and locals. Nautical and local pictures on the wall. What more could you want?

Been coming to Yarmouth for a years now and not sure why we've never been here before. Maybe as it was closed when we passed by. Whatever we'll definitely be back. Darts and pool going on together with jukebox Fab atmosphere 😀

This is a friendly locals pub. We visited on a Sunday night so it wasn't too busy. It was warm clean and tidy. I would recommend visiting if you are in the area.

If you go to Gt Yarmouth and want to find an old fashioned real pub thats very welcoming and friendly this is the place. Also it's very reasonably priced.

I'm from Leigh-on-Sea, Essex and I went for a long weekend away in Great Yarmouth, found this little gem not far from my dad's Hotel, excellent beer, excellent real ale, excellent pool table, excellent jukebox, Lovely just lovely stuff

Great little locals pub just a few hundred metres inland from the Yarmouth Sealife centre end of the prom. Real ale and real cider served along with other national brands. Owner Darren and his wife along with staff are very welcoming and most professional at doing their jobs. The time and tide museum is only another 50m further on as well. Jukebox is a useful but not overly obtrusive distraction to the great conversation to be had with staff and friendly locals. Darts team and a pool table makes this a fabulous 'all rounder' pub to suit all tastes. Tourists welcomed right from their first visit... A lovely little hidden gem....
