Always a great atmosphere here. If this was my local, I would spend plenty of time here

Staying at caravan park nearby, came here to play pool. Everyone super friendly and welcoming, played pool with everyone Great vibes with the jukebox 💃

Fabulous atmosphere 👌 Really prompt and friendly service with a smile. Games like darts and pool always available. Good parking. Child friendly.

We were staying at Wild duck haven site, where we came across this lovely pub, which has a take away restaurant on the premises. The donar kebabs and chips were delicious. Much cheaper than buying a take away on the site and you get more for your money. Hubby said the pub had a friendly atmosphere and governor Andy was very welcoming. We will definitely visit again, next time we stay at Wild Duck.😊

This pub has been my local and my family's local for generations and it has always been a lovely little place. Friendly staff and friendly punters who make everyone feel welcome. It's sad to see some utter bull reviews written on here and for anyone wanting to pop in then please do and don't let the negative reviews cloud your judgement and go see for yourself just how nice and friendly it really is 😊 if you are looking for a family friendly, old traditional beautiful little pub in a quiet village then this is the place for you.

Place smelt like strawberries and cream. Who doesn’t like strawberries and cream. Oh also found Coke bathroom. Made my night so much better!!

This is a lovely traditional country pub! Child friendly and the staff are all so warm and welcoming. Love all the amount of bands that are on, a proper asset to the village!

Read that this pub does not welcome cannabis users, as a legally prescribed British cannabis patient, it is disheartening to learn that this pub would be willing to breach the Equality Act and refuse service to me should I take my medication there.

The Tavern is a fantastic place, really friendly pub with nice beer, great atmosphere.....& some of the best live music around. Would highly recommend.....especially when 'Love Songs for Losers' are playing!! Xx❤xX

Utterly brilliant Country pub with a chip shop nextdoor decent prices well worth escaping from the Haven site for a drink some banter with friendly locals and pop Into the chip shop for supper

Oh dear. Just an atrocious pub. Dirty, decaying and with just one ale on. Not a slaughter house but absolutely no atmosphere. There are reasons why some pubs are shutting down. This has all of those reasons.

What a fantastic pub! We arrived to a couple of locals having a drink, very friendly staff, lovely lager, more locals came in and treated us really well. I don’t think there was a single customer who didn’t speak to us, We felt so welcome and ended up staying most the night, we will be returning most definitely! Oh and the kebab and pizza attached to the pub is fab aswell and brought our food to our table and was delicious!

Ok pub close to the haven site at which we stayed, friendly staff and decent price. Went for a drink while waiting for the caravan to be ready at the haven.

Stayed at haven camp and went to the local pub the tavern, the locals very friendly, ordered fish and chips from next door and they were delivered to me in the pub, thanks to ANDY and all the bar staff, I hope to see you next year JEFF/MAURA

Proper village pub very friendly

Stayed at the local Haven camp, visited this local pub a few times to watch the football. Short walk from the camp. Staff are friendly, beer is reasonably priced, Carlsberg, Kronenberg etc. Few people in at the weekend but quieter in the week. Covid aware. Would recommend and visit again.

Came here back in 2017 good lot of good people as a American they where vary welcoming, meet a few locals that I cant wait to see again soon on my travels back

Stopped for a drink during a trek along the Angles Way walk. It was lunchtime and pretty quiet and doesn't do food. It could do with a makeover as is rather dated but the barmaid was friendly and I enjoyed my beer!
