170A High Street The Coffee/cocktails Lounge Lounge Right On The SW Corner Of Duke And High Street, England
Walking along the high street we found this little gem! Great coffee and cocktails as well as a bowl of water for our dog who’d spent the day on the beach! Great bar staff very friendly lovely warm atmosphere!
The food from here was excellent. Particularly the round container of two mains plus rice or noodles for under a tenner. Perfect portion size too. We were staying at the neighbouring Hopton Holiday Village which was very nearby but the option for delivery for £1.50 was too tempting. We ordered meals by phone for our party of 12 a couple of hours in advance. The food arrived smack on time, all the dishes were correct, and they were all delicious. Thoroughly recommended.
Always a good place for a coffee. The staff are friendly, the location is good and the coffee is great. It's particularly welcoming during the winter months. It's popularity was shown today with plenty of happy customers
The best, and cheapest breakfast in Gorleston. As a local, this is our choice for a regular visit. Served piping hot, with a smile. Also great lunches and Sunday Lunch!!
First time here. I went for a coffee and cake after cleaning my parent's grave. The cafe is lovely and welcoming. Prices are good. My cappuccino was first class but my fruit scone was awful. It was dry and didn't taste great, which was a shame. Either it was stale or the ingredients were not great.
So disappointed in this place now
Used it a lot a few years ago when the original owners ran it
Now it is run by other members of the family
Two rounds of plastic cheese on toast slapped in whole rounds on the plate no garnish no finesse
Small cappuccino finally found the coffee 3 quarters of the way down and the cost £11
What a rip off the place was nearly empty that says it all
Always full before first and last time in a lot of years that I have been there never again
We never actually found the restaurant as there seems to be roadworks ( New Bridge) and despite driving up and down Denmark Street several times we were unable to find the place. Website needs and update
The music room at the Cliff was perfect for our small wedding of 28 guests. There were curtains along each side which gave the room a more intimate setting. The acoustics were very good for our music all played from a USB stick. The screen backdrop with falling petals was lovely. The room can accommodate all different size groups and although our group was fairly small the room did not feel too big
What is up with people!!!! Crap manners on the till, and who gets clean plates out of a dishwasher and put them facing on your dirty apron to juggle them! before placing them back out front to customers !!!
After ordering £25 worth of food for it to arrive, with cold tuff dry pork, beansprouts raw, stodgy rice and chicken balls that had spent one or two hours to long in the deep fat fryer along with the feeble portion of well done chips, even the dog turned her nose up! we rang, we complained, we were asked to forage in the bin to return the food to be offered a £10 refund! terrible customer service, asking I'd we could ring back as they're busy 🤣 jheez Avoid this gaff 💯
I can only assume it’s under new ownerships for there to be such a drastic change in only 3 weeks since I last ordered.
The food was ok but the portion size has gone down by about 1/3 at least which isn’t a problem if the price goes down but it was the same. Normally feed a family of 4 comfortably but struggled to stretch it that far.
I won’t be paying that much again for what arrived.
