The Island at The Waterways in Great Yarmouth

Always a good place for a coffee. The staff are friendly, the location is good and the coffee is great. It's particularly welcoming during the winter months. It's popularity was shown today with plenty of happy customers

We visited last year and enjoyed the pedalos so decided to take another pedalo out. The waterways is beautiful, the plants in the Venetian waterways are stunning. It was a shame some of the pedalos were sinking into the water as it looked less appealing to passers-by. The outdoor games in the marquee attached to the main cafe were a welcome addition for our boys.

Such an beautiful location with loads of garden and nature to take in. I had a coffee and cake with my parents and we all had such a great tine. Staff were really helpful and friendly.

We had a walk round the waterways and stopped here for a snack, the cappuccino was good, and the staff friendly, (the loo was clean too).

Had great fun on the boating lake. Staff and service are brilliant. My daughter dropped her glass which smashed everywhere, and the staff were lovely about it. They did a great job of making sure no food was contaminated and the glass all cleared up quickly. They even gave her another ice cream on the house 😁

Exceptionally over priced. Visited with my family of five and saw that a simple Cornetto or Magnum ice-cream would cost £3 so we swiftly retreated. Eventually found another cafe where the same ice-cream was available for £1.80. I wonder how much money you could make if you just lowered your prices slightly? Today you lost money from us for certain.

Really disappointed with the attitude of the staff in the café. Would not recommend a visit. The boating was good fun but due to staff will not return.

We came across this beautiful little cafe by the beach when we were looking for somewhere at the last minute to hold a small family champagne and cake reception following our wedding. Our original venue was only able to have a few of our guests due to covid restrictions and we had about 1 week to sort something. The manager Karim could not have been more helpful in creating something that felt really special, including allowing our families to watch our wedding ceremony via zoom whilst they waited for us to join them. All the staff were absolutely lovely and friendly, the cafe is clean and bright surrounded by beautiful landscaped rockery gardens and right next to the beach. Delicious selection of food and drink too. Would highly recommend this little gem :)

We were the first customers to be able to sit inside after the latest lockdown relaxations. We were asked to leave our details and ordered at the counter. The tables were well spaced and we were directed to a particular one. We thoroughly enjoyed the drinks,especially the hot chocolate . There was a good range of cakes to choose from and we enjoyed our scones. It is always nice to find such a lovely place that also welcomes dogs. We found the staff to be very friendly.

We were a party of 4 visiting the Venetian waterways in need of some refreshment. More interested on being Covid friendly than giving customers a decent cup of coffee in china cups and home made treats. Maybe the price we have to pay for keeping safe

this is really good for gilattos and coffee the owners are italian its why its worth checking out ice cream def worth buying they have a good variety loads of good places down the north end, this is rarther good outdoor and indoor seating

Lovely rowing boat hire And pretty and scenic walk over bridges Lots of ducks and pretty flowers too.

We found the cafe open until 8:30pm a couple of weeks ago so stopped for coffee and cake - both were delicious in a delightful location. We came again tonight for more tea and coffee and have booked a table for a meal in a couple of weeks time! (One day we’ll hire a row boat too)

This cafe sits on an island within the recently refurbished Venetian Waterways close to the North Denes at Great Yarmouth. The Waterways have been beautifully regenerated and the cafe is a little gem which has also been well restored. Very clean with a good selection of basic cafe items - soup, sandwiches, cakes, scones, tea, coffee etc at reasonable prices. The cafe was very clean and there is seating both inside and outside. It is very dog friendly and has a jar of treats for your four legged friend on the counter. Just had sandwiches and coffee but the sandwiches were very fresh (accompanied with crisps and a fresh side salad) and the drinks were tasty and piping hot. Has a lovely atmosphere and a great place to go in any season.
