Always excellent Cod and Chips, pre order by phone usually ready on time. Generous portions and good value. Always my go to Chippy.

Having found out this place cooked in vegetable oil, the plan was made to have fish & chips there following a steady 6 mile walk. Having arrived in Yarmouth we stopped and had a couple of pints (my wife had googled the opening times 5 miles in and assured us it was open all day until 9pm) We later realised at 1350pm it actually closed at 2pm and my good wife had managed to get opening times for PJ’s fish bar in Wakefield!!!!!! However we called up and the owner asked us our order and said he would get it fried for us, Top Man! Quickly finished our pints and trekked to collect our lunch! I should not however trusted my good lady to get us there! She took myself, Aunty Jen, Uncle Tom, 3 dogs and my 8 month old son to Pjs on Salisbury road , a mere 15 minute walk away from where we needed to be!! Owners wife to the rescue now! She called to find out where we were, and having probably cried with laughter at where we were simply said no problem, I’ll come and pick you up! Within minutes my lovely wife and Uncle Tom were being chauffeured to the chip shop. Auntie Jen 3 dogs and baby quickly followed on foot to lap up some fresh fish & Chips! Got there, owner let us all in shut the door, and served up the most delicious cod chips and mushy peas I have had in a very long time! What absolute hero’s!! Honestly cannot thank you enough. It made our holiday all the very best Tom

I rang to order our haddock and chips and turned up at the arranged time to find that the fish hadn't been cooked - he'd forgotten and told the young assistant 'she should have reminded him'. So everyone who came in after me left before me. Very frustrating and annoying. Eventually got the order and went home. Chips 10/10 but the haddock was such a disappointment. It had no taste and if I didn't know better I would say it wasn't haddock - it was awful. We won't go there again - such a shame.

I was recommended to try PJ's fish and chips in Gorleston so I went along during my holiday in the summer. I ordered haddock and chips and I sat outside because it was lovely weather. The young lady that served me brought my meal outside in a polystyrene carton. I was about to go back inside to get some salt and vinegar but the young lady went and got it for me... The staff were very friendly and the fish and chips were nice.

Gorgeous location and food. We sat on the roof terrace and ordered via an app. Food was fabulous, we had gyros chicken and mixed souvaki with flat breads

The service was very friendly and interesting. The music on play was very 90s nostalgia, which was nice. Prices reasonable though options limited

Visited the Boathouse on our last night in Norfolk and we chose well for our farewell dinner. The weather was terrible so it was lovely to step inside the really tastefully decorated restaurant. The staff were lovely and friendly and gave us a warm welcome. My husband had the mussels which were delicious he had asked for a starter sized helping but he was given the full meal size so I had to help him to eat them. I had the cod it was enormous and also absolutely delicious, it came with Indian flavours and an onion bhaji absolutely gorgeous. We would highly recommend a visit there were so many tempting dishes to choose from. The lady on the next table had the homemade beef and ale pie it smelt amazing.
