The best restaurants in Fenland East of England

We have visited this cafe several times over the years and it has been going steadily downhill,so much so that we don't want to visit any more. The only good thing g was the member of staff named Olly ,he collects the food orders, delivers the food, clears and cleans tables and any food spilt on floor, keeps coffee machines filled and condiments and cooler units filled. This is not easy when cafe is full but he is always cheerful and helpful even when dealing with co plaints. Give the man a pat on the back (or maybe a pay rise) More staff needed at busy times or cafe will keep losing custom ,menus need updating and food needs to be hot

All the food was really good except from one waffle which was not to standard. I got straight on the phone with them and they straight away sent another waffle out in the next 5 minutes. This one still wasn't great which they apologised about after me calling them again and offered me a refund. The refund did take a while getting to my house but it did arrive which is why I'm giving this place a good review. They sorted my problem out and was nice about it so highly recommended 👌🏻

Stay away from this place, the chow mein came in a tub that was 1 cm deep, cost 6 quid for that miniature portion, and to top it off it was stone cold, would of got more noodles from a pot noodle, won't be back here ever again, way better places than this joke of place

Went in November And there was no heating on!! Ridiculous. Didn't hang about and won't go back till they put it on

The place needs a complete refurbishment. It's a lovely old building and has just had the signs replaced which now reads correctly. Elgoods, the owners, could surely make this the lovely pub it used to be, with great food and a nice place to be. Wisbech is crying out for good eating places and this could be one of them.

Horrible food, not fit for human consumption, take a very careful look around the premises in all the nooks and crannies and you will see why. Will never buy from here again while I have breath in my body.

Very disappointed, wrong labels on products, steak bakes cold and server, Leo, could do with some customer service training. Not helpful, just put food in bags and walked away, a little good morning and thank you, is there anything else would have been nice. Wont bother going there again.

We placed an order for collection, it wasn’t ready at the time we were given and we had to wait another 20-25 minutes while they got it ready. There were only 2 tables eating in the restaurant and two lots of other people also waiting to collect orders. While we waited for our order we had the pleasure of watching a guy, who didn’t look the most well presented, come backwards and forwards with various containers to place in a microwave in a room next to the kitchen. When we finally got our food and got it home it was very clear it had been frozen and microwaved by the amount of water swimming on the plate after we dishes the food up and the rice wasn’t very warm. We had heard good things about this restaurant but we definitely won’t be going back. The food tasted ok, but only ok, nothing special. Very disappointed.

A women and a man was having a go at staff due to waiting nearly 30minutes . I stood there for 5 and no one came to see me so currently in dominos , it’s Sunday , I ain’t got the patience for all this

Ordered on app so would be ready when got there. Asked to park up and then waited 24 minutes for a barely warm burger Lady very apologetic

Just had a kebab from here and it was a night mate , driver turns up first of all with out 2 of the orders , then I go to eat my kebab the chicken is so raw it’s amazing they even thought about sending it to us this is the second time I’ve seen raw chicken served from there and when I say raw I mean ridiculously raw.

Busy at lunch time had not booked but were seated quickly. Ordered food took a little while, ok with that. Food arrived looked ok, but quality was poor, commented to lady and she would pass message to kitchen. Nothing more heard till we were leaving and said message was given to kitchen. The quality of the food seems to have gone down and the prices have gone up. No return visit planned.
