The best restaurants in Watling Dacorum East of England

We were looking for somewhere in Flamstead where we could meet some friends before walking to Markyate and back. We spotted this coffee shop and were very pleased to have found it. It is obviously enjoyed by locals but we were also made very welcome. The various coffees we had were of excellent quality and flavour. The biscuits we had (including gluten-free for one of our party) were very good. The cakes looked delicious. The lady running it was very friendly. We'll be happy to return.

5 out of 5. Absolute amazing meal! Such a little gem that we stumbled upon on the way to Whipsnade Zoo and it did not disappoint! Everything was perfect, from papadums, starter, main and naan bread. We had the mixed kebab starter, the meat was amazing and melted in the mouth. The chicken tikka masala was 10/10, very sweet and tasty. Garlic naan was super soft and doughy. Service was lovely, very welcoming and happy to have a laugh. You need to go here!! 5⭐️s

Super Indian restaurant, which my wife, myself and our friends regularly visit for an evening meal. Large menu of dishes which are always nicely cooked. Excellent service from all staff. Very pleasant atmosphere in which to eat with friends

Both main courses were incredibly sweet, the peshwari naan was filled with sugar. Very hard to eat. Something is wrong at Spice. Rice was fine, the plain naan was burnt. Very unsuccessful meal.

The worst English breakfast in the uk go to a local cafe the chef should be ashamed

This is a 'take-away' only. Fusion Foods is the part of the business offering a full Indian Food menu but they also do - Spiced Fried Chicken, Peri Peri etc. and similar from the same premises. The Indian take-away is 1st class. Food is cooked by an award winning chef who used to work in another restaurant in the village and you can tell why he won his awards, 'For take-away only' Indian food, it's the best restaurant in the village. Prices are reasonable, portions generous and discounts are offered for ordering on-line and for collecting.

Came to the area to buy a car and stumbled across this lovely little pub , outstanding friendly welcome , very very good pint no food but the land lady was more than happy with us bringing our fish and chips from across the road over , even providing us with plate cutlery and sauces to eat with , if we are in the area again we will be making the effort to visit this beautiful little pub again , highly recommend to everyone!

Excellent service but slightly disappointed in the amount of chips. Apparently a previous customer had eaten too many. Will return.

Came to lunch today with the girls , served by Chrissy lovely service and food.
