Delivery absolutely shocking! Took over an hour to deliver. Then the driver just sat outside. No phone call nothing. When we went to the car and asked why he’s not delivering it his response was ‘it’s raining’. Do you just deliver in dry weather??

Having used the other three takeaways in Markyate this is our first order from Saffron. Amazing!! Best vegetable curry I have ever eaten and the chicken korma was fresh and succulent. Our new favourite.

Great food, was really impressed with the flavours. The chilli paneer had a good kick to out but not overpowering and very tasty for a starter. Surprised it was quiet for a Saturday, for how good the food is. Really good value for money - £60 for the two of us dining (drinks, poppadoms, starters, mains, sides,naan) Will definitely return in the near future and will be recommending.

Jhalfrazi was nice, as was the Korma however the tikki masala sauce was like watered down tomato sauce and pretty tasteless which was a shame

Quality of food is not appropriate...u can't get the indian food taste there. We have tried a couple of dishes.. but non-of great or say good...its an average restaurant. Not recommended to others.

Oh my gosh. Could this be my new favourite curry house? Having never been to or ordered from Saffron before, I decided to give it a go. The food was delicious, well seasoned and exactly what I wanted on a Friday evening.

Under new management, Saffron has certainly improved its dishes and flavours. Best tandoori mixed grill I have had in a long time. Everything was piping hot and presented beautifully. Highly recommend. Don't be put off by the look of the outside as inside you get a warm, friendly welcome and great food.

So I was excited for a rare occasion with the wife child free. What a disappointment, raw chicken, flat and tasteless house special. I'm so lucky my wife is amazing, she made the night as always shimmering her assests! To be fair the service and the beer was good.

Been here many times. Always brilliant service. Food is delicious and I think the price is fair. The best thing about this restaurant always used to be the extensive pickle trays with 10/11 different pickles etc. This was always a highlight for us but they have stopped doing them and now it's just bog standard average quality pickles. Would love to see the deluxe version brought back and would be happy to pay more for better quality and choice.

Great curry house, good selection of curries and the staff were very friendly. Cobra beer on tap which is good, and comfortable seating. The rice portion on the biryani was very generous, so avoid if you can only manage a small portion, and the curries we had were very mild so would suit those new to curries or who don't like spice. That being said we didn't order the hotter end of the menu so I'm sure they will crank the spice up if requested. Would recommend this and will go again if in the area.

What amazing service. My granddaughters had never been to an Indian Restaurant so we opted to try it out. The gentleman that served us was super he made them feel so comfortable and recommended what was good to eat. They did a show with a salad which was stunning in itself. All in all I cannot thank them enough for the amazing experience, worth every penny and we will be back.

The food quality and service is excellent. Would have loved to give them 5 star had we been offered a drinks menu. We ended up ordering a coke which was straight out of jumbo bottle with no gas for which they charge over £4. Definitely area of improvement for management, it's not that hard to offer a drinks menu or serve a decent can or glass bottle of coke.

Great Indian restaurant with good service, friendly staff and varied menu.

No proper seating at the restaurant. We ordered coffee and samosa. They tasted fine. I have added the picture of the place where we were seated. It was very difficult to drink coffee or eat samosa on such a low table.

Saffron was my local Indian Restaurant but I've moved away so don't get to go there as much as I used to. It's only by trying other restaurants I've come to realise just how special Saffron is. Excellent food and service and the beer is always icey cold too. I can't recommend highly enough.

Very much enjoyed my dinner at Saffron. The food was good, the plates hot and the service excellent. Nice environment with linen tablecloths. Sensitive Indian music in the background. Plenty of space to park out front.

I am afraid I was quite disappointed with the food that was served. The saag paneer was overcooked and the parathas were not professionally made. My friend was served flat coke. The first waitor was impatient with our order. Mentioned he would give us more time to decide on the order when actually my friends and our kids were already decided. He sent another waitor to serve us after a while who was nice and understanding. When he returned to put the food in the table, we tried to be friendly with him and did request for some more mints however, his hostility was very obvious. I feel we were not welcome at the restaurant. Compared to other restaurants which serves fantastic Indian food with great hospitality even when you are attending alone, I am afraid our experience at Saffron was disappointing.

Fantastic place. Used to be a 'little chef' re-purpossed to become the very best Indian Restaurant in the Dunstable / Markyate area. The staff are friendly, helpful, managed by Jay . The nicest fella you're ever likely to meet. We've been eating here for over 12 years. The food is fabulous 😋 and the range, variety of dishes is second to none. The chicken and lamb dishes are exquisite. The kema nan stuffed with mince meat is almost a meal on its own. They will also provide you with a doggy 🐕 Bag. Nothing beats a curry 🍛a day later. Hmm!!! Can definitely recommend the service, food and friendly atmosphere. 👌

Saffron’s the best Indian food 🥘. There keema rice 🍚 is the best recipes I have ever eat. So delicious 🤤. U all should try the keema rice. When here am guaranteed i will be full and still take away some home with me. Thx saffron for always make big-mama happy 😃 .

Usually I could find fault with any restaurant and believe me when I say I do, but not here, the staff were friendly the food was amazing they even cooked me my favourite dish which was not on the menu, the restaurant was busy so I expected delays but the food was served in great time and the flavours were perfect, this visit was a lads night out, well done Saffron see you next week with my family *****

The food quality and service is excellent. Both my boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals and we had excelled service providing us with what we wanted there and then. Definitely would recommend coming here for a take away or an authentic Indian meal.

Fried rice called Biriyani. Plain curd at £2.95 is called Raitha. They call plain yogurt as Raitha .STAY AWAY.

This place was always my favourite but this evening was an awful experience. Food was dry and the man answering the phone at the restaurant was very unhelpful and rude. Jay was as lovely as ever, I wish all the staff had his manners and integrity!!!

Very very good, probably the best Lamb Korma I have ever had.

It had good reviews on Google so I gave it a go. The food was great, really full of flavour and good portions. Would go again if in the area.
