The best restaurants in Boreham and The Leighs Chelmsford East of England

I would highly recommend a visit to this fantastic restaurant. It was our first visit and we shall certainly be back soon to try the highly rated Sunday lunch. The staff are also very friendly and attentive to the customers needs. Well worth the visit 👌👍

It’s the biggest disappointment I’ve had for a long time. It was a Thursday evening, only two tables with people in a whole restaurant and it took them 25 min to make starters and then another 30 min to bring mains. Tiger prawns dish had just 4 prawns and I bit of salad for £28. Prawns were dry and absolutely tasteless. I left restaurant hungry and unsatisfied.

It used to be a guilty secret but word is out just how good this place is. The just turn up policy seems to work and even on a Saturdaynight we were seated in seconds. No music just the sounds of clicking cutlery and happy customers chatting and envy the delicious food. This is first class quality food served with expertise that’s not poncy or small in portion. Reasonably priced and plenty of daily specials to choose from. Whoever runs this kitchen knows exactly what they are doing. Probably my favourite restaurant in recent memory.

Poor service, got seated and it was 25 minute wait for drinks, followed by a 45 minute wait for starters, then a 45 minute wait for mains, food was cold when it did arrive. Wasn’t even that busy considering it was VD. Poor service skills, understaffed. Don’t mind if the food was good but it was very average at the least. Don’t usually moan at things like this but spending close to £100. I had the mixed grill, all meat was cold on service, starters was hot but tasted disgusting! Creamy mushrooms. The Turkish bread wasn’t Turkish bread, just normal loaf. There’s plenty of other Turkish restaurants we have been to and this is by far the worst. So I do not rate this place at all. Bad choice.

Went there for Mother’s Day and chose from a set menu from which there was enough choice. ie choice of starters, roast dinners, fish dish, vegetarian dishes and burgers and puddings £28 per person. £3 supplement on some dishes. Waitress was pleasant, the manager was nice. Food took a while to come. Food was ok, run of the mill and instantly forgettable. The wine like everywhere was expensive. Total bill well over £130 for 3 people. The surroundings are nice and not too much noise from other diners.

Nice clean room friendly helpful staff

Had my husband's Wake there. We was looked after so well, especially Ray who was very nice actually all the staff were lovely. Went in 2 days later for evening meal with my son and his girlfriend, again Ray was lovely and all staff who was looking after us. Definitely recommend this pub and we will be going back

Did not feel like the Premier inn experience, beds was not comfy and the only Premier inn where you have to pay £7 for parking!

Just had a great meal from here, staff very friendly and food was amazing. Thanks...will be back.
