A hidden gem tucked away off the main road. Great place for a drink with a great garden. Unfortunately no longer doing food.

A great British pub. Slightly tucked away. Full of character and characters. Food is excellent high quality ingredients. Beer is kept well. Would definitely use it again.

Really nice old fashioned village pub. Queens Head is tucked away behind the church. Food and beer excellent. We'll worth a stop from busy A12 as you pass close to Chelmsford

Had lunch here 26 08 23. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful If they tried….. the food was a top quality…. and at a very reasonable price…. highly recommend. Shame I don’t live nearby otherwise I would be back!!

As always, lovely food at the Queens Head. Their pies are to die for; the chicken and chorizo I had was so good.

Really tasty meal (steak and ale pie) with a generous portion. Great service from Nika. Good range of beers. Yep, I'm a happy chappie. So we're the three others who came with me. Recommended by Cajun Steve . Guess what he always orders.

I was there for a cribbage league match. Nice small pub but short on non alcohol drinks hence yhe rating. Only stocked Becks Blue which I dislike and never drink. Good atmosphere though and a nice log fire.

Fantastic village pub, food was good, service excellent. Lots of space to eat inside,. outside under cover or alfresco. Great value and not too much of a wait. The noisey table next to us was frustrating but not the end of the world.

Went to the beer festival yesterday. Great pub, great atmosphere and lovely staff. The Cornish pasties were perfect after a couple of ales. The Allykats were playing too and they went down a storm!

Nice little find during an afternoon walk. Nestled in in the town of Boreham. Stopped for a quick pint, very welcoming staff with a good sense of humour. Nice beer, sun was out, sat in the beer garden. Definitely recommend

The owners are really lovely. The pub is clean and welcoming. Love that this is a traditional country pub. I love that staff tips don't get shared with the owners, a sign of great management! The food is always tasty and great value for money.

Max the landlord is very welcoming. The drinks are well priced and the garden is excellent. Love taking our dog in for a drink after a nice walk.

Jess and Max have done an excellent job to make their pub Covid compliant. The use of the outside space is excellent and the table service spot on. Not to mention that the beer selection is always excellent and in tip top condition.

Although have been a resident of Chelmsford area for 3 years this gem of a pub escaped my attention being just off Boreham church! Great selection of real ales, really nice home cooked food, friendly bar staff and a lovely garden...ticked all the boxes for what I look for in a great pub!

Friendly atmosphere, traditional beamed pub offering a great range of real ales and cider. The public bar has darts and cards complimented by the saloon bar with good home made meals.

A typical British pub very old good food. I was there for a 60th birthday celebration. Pub provided an excellent buffet lots of choice. Very packed last night night very good atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you like olde worlde and food at a sensible price

Had a family gathering at this Pub after my daughters christening. The staff went above and beyond for us and I would highly recommend anyone to visit here.
