We visited early on a Saturday evening. Service was excellent and the food was very good. Chicken was some of the most tender we have had at a Turkish restaurant. Nice clean venue with great staff and good food.

Monday evening so very quiet and that's why the atmosphere score is lower but everything else was very good. The dining area was very good, waiter very knowledgeable and helpful. Food was excellent, tasteful and the wine was reasonably priced. A great evening.

We went on a Saturday night, a group of 5 adults. This was our 2nd visit. Our last one was about a year ago. We didn't order any starters, we went straight for the main course. The food could have arrived sooner if they had more staff because they were catering for a large family group of about 25 people on the far side from where we were sitting as well as all the other customers that came. I would say the restaurant was at about 90% capacity. When the food came, I ordered Salmon fillet, the underside of it was overcooked, the skin was very charred, and the fillet itself was dry and not well seasoned. However, I still finished my meal because I did not want to waste my money or the food. Even though in the menu it said it came with chips & and salad, I was expecting a Turkish twist to the dish, but there wasn't one. I found the restaurant contained and moved the noise around the restaurant instead of absorbing it, which made it difficult at times to hear people talk. The staff were friendly even though they seemed to be understaffed on a Saturday night. If I, or we, go back, it would 't be for a while or unless some fundamental changes take place in terms of the quality of food served and how they manage to control the over all noise level.

First visit to to the Dog and Gun and absolutely blown away by the quality of the food, the wonderfully warm welcome and service..and the tranquil setting. I've eaten a lot of turkish food and grilled kebabs in my life. This was up there with the best. Fresh succulent meat..beautiful flavours. Service was absolutely first class. Thankyou so much. 1st visit to the Dog and Gun, the food was so delicious, I had the scallops and my husband had the prawns they were freshly cooked and were amazing, we both had lamb casserole with mixed rice, the servings were plentiful. Will revisit again

We went to the Dog & Gun for a family meal on Saturday and I’m so glad we did. It’s a wonderful restaurant and the food really is stunning. Would highly recommend. Can’t wait to return!

Childrens meal £11?! Doesn’t include anything other than a main which is 80% chips, childrens kofte was not kofte it was like a ham burger?! £3.50 for lumpy mash! Unlimited bread but the tiniest pots of dip were not refilled once! Not a cheap meal, really disappointing.

First time eating here and it was amazing. Food was excellent and the portions very large. Will definitely return very soon.

The lamb chops I had were divine. I recommend. The starters were prawn and the fried squid in tartar. Perfect. Brother kept his mouth full and didn't speak whilst eating his moussaka, so, I'm going to say that, that was pretty good too.

Food and Service excellent as always, not the cheapest place to eat but we'll worth it for a special night out.

We ordered kebap, liver, kalamari, borek, chicken shish and mixed grill. Everything was so delicious and prices are reasonable. I strongly suggest liver especially, which is the one of the best one I l've ever tried in the UK. Also, there is a playground for kids and a huge parking space for customers.

Absolutely fabulous food and a good selection for children. There are notes in the dessert menu for allergens but this would also be really useful on the main menu too.

Avoid!!!! Come here for dinner & after waiting over a hour for our main it arrived cold!!!! Didn’t want to wait for it to be warmed back up in the microwave so we left and they still even had the cheek to charge us for our starters & one drink each! Waste of time & money! The excuse was it’s a busy night & only 2 waiters on a Friday evening! Much better Turkish restaurants around so save your money & avoid this place !!!!! DISAPPOINTING!!!!!

Had a home delivery for the very first time from this restaurant. Very impressed with the quality of all the food I had ordered, so I am planning to eat in as well soon, at the first opportunity. Later edit: I have since been thrice, with friends, to eat at the Dog and Gun, once inside and the last couple of times in the garden. I enjoyed all but the latest experience, when the storm bugs were rather annoying in the garden, but this was of course not the restaurant's fault. What I really found disappointing on this occasion, was the taste of the food, as it totally lacked the usual charcoal flavour (fact confirmed by two more of those present around the table) and I also found the main waiter's humour somewhat inappropriate, although he was most probably well intended. I feel it is only fair to change the star scoring from 5 to 4.

Food and service were amazing! Highly recommended I had the mixed meat dish, oh wow! Will definitely return. The Turkish champagne was beautiful. Plenty of seating and very comfortable. Social staff are really kind and accommodating. Will definitely return!

Today was our first visit to the dog and gun after driving past and always wanting to go we finally booked for fathers day and it did not disappoint!! This was the first time for me as a mum of two kids age 1 and 3 that we could actually sit and enjoy a meal as they have what most restaurants are missing - a good play area :D, the outside seating is great and has plenty of space. This is an absolute winner for us to be honest the kids had the best time and we felt the service was brilliant. Gokhan was professional, very friendly and made us feel so welcome smiling at every request and didnt rush us at all which is what we loved too. The food is so tasty and portions are VERY good. This has been the most enjoyable family dinner we have ever had. Thanks so much for making fathers day special. We will definitely be back - 1 million percent. The Deamer family :)

Had to wait a little while for the food as they were short staffed but Gokhan’s customer service was outstanding and he definitely made up for it. Will come back again and the food was delicious!

Very stylish restaurant in a very rural setting. We visited on a Friday lunchtime and it was quite quiet. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. Quite pricey compared to other Turkish restaurants I have visited but it is a great quality place. Will definitely be back for more.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend so decided to pay it a visit Called to book a table and was told they were full then suddenly they said they would squeeze us in Drinks and starters were ok to start but after that it all went down hill After finishing starters we waited almost 40 minutes for our main and that was only asking if it was going to be much longer When it arrived at best the mixed grill was ok and Luke warm but my partner’s meal was so hot and over cooked it was just a soggy mess and appeared to have been reheated in a microwave for 10 minutes this coupled with the second drinks order took 20 minutes to arrive. You could be mistaken for thinking they squeezed us in and were busy but in the 2 hours we were there I only counted 7 other tables with people on and they seemed to be having similar issues due to the staff being confused and taken many orders to the wrong tables. Won’t be returning to this place as it’s definitely an under value over priced place with staff not having a clue what they are doing.

We have ordered here a few times and the food has been nice but tonight will be the last time I order from them. Our order came to nearly 40 pound and Ive had better food from a burger van. Mine was cold and the bread that came with it was hard and stale, my partner had the halloumi casserole which came with hardly any veg and they forgot to pack the rice. We phone up and rice was delivered half an hour later but with no sorry and no replacement casserole. It would of been nice if they offered to replace the whole meal and not just given me the rice.
