The best restaurants in East of England

One of the waitresses was extremely rude and was very patronising towards myself and my family.. half the menu they didn’t have and she didn’t have much knowledge on gluten free foods.. the kitchen staff catered which was great but the waitress (seemed like a manager) was very rude to us and kept going back a forth

First time trying an Indian restaurant in Royston and chose this one because of the good reviews. It was wonderful! The food was fantastic and the staff were lovely. We enjoyed their spin on a classic Korma and Tikka Masala. Will definitely visit again!

Good quality food & arrived early.

We've been waiting to return after the rebuild and this did not disappoint! Easily the best chippy In Southwold. Try it. It's worth the walk down the harbour. Get the curry sauce also, It's elite level!

Booked a table but wslasnt ready but that's not the problem. Ordered food. A hour later no food ask why was told big party , won t he long. Asked, again was told or order was today be prepared, gave up after waiting g a hour fifteen. Staff said we were being unfair when we walked out.

What a beautiful Hotel, my wife and I had an amazing Seafood Platter for lunch last weekend. The staff were extremely polite and courteous, we cannot wait to return soon. Highly recommended.

Had an overnight stay in one of the shepherds hut and expectations were well surpassed! The huts are immaculately clean and well thought out. They are beautifully presented with high end finishes in secluded locations. The Japanese hot tubs were fabulous and easy to use with clear instructions. A word of advice, it builds up heat very quickly and you really don’t need to put that extra log on! The pub was also fabulous with amazing food, we all enjoyed our choices. We had the overnight stay with dinner, bed and breakfasts. Amazing value and will be back!

Really enjoyable food, fresh ingredients and served really well. Service initially was good yet many missed opportunities to make additional sales from us. We asked many times for extra drinks and told yes-yes we come to you, nobody did. Anyway, like I said, the food was great.

Very limited choice of beers - only afnams and no guest beers.

Excellent Summer wedding venue with friendly staff

Stayed recently, and I did like being there other than the staff refusing to accept scottish money saying. we have had a scottish forgery so we dont accept any scottish money (really). The most commonly forged currency in the uk is a bank of England £20 note. There are many ways to verify if money is genuine pens and machines. This prejudice needs to stop. Post office state Scottish money is accepted but not given back out except in Scotland. And all banks will accept Scottish notes.

Absolutely fantastic customer experience and the staff were brilliant!! This place is in my opinion the best pub for hospitality in the whole of England. Well done you deserve every accolade going.

Visited over the first May Long Weekend and was welcomed by a vibe as sunny as the weather. The DJ outside was great, the pizza van a nice touch and a great range in the bar.
