Had the best Thai food ever. It was well cooked and very tasty. Although, I had to wait longer than my teammates to get my food, I guess my order was switched for a different menu item. I have been here two more times and the food is super! Had the mixed red curry both times and I can't get enough Great service and atmosphere too!

We visited this cafe/restaurant whilst visiting family in clacton. They use this lace a lot and we took them there for breakfast as they recommended it. We got a table straight away. We got the menus quickly, we ordered drinks and then our food. The waiting staff were all so friendly and polite. The food we had was very good, fresh and very hot. It was a good price for us all to have breakfast and drinks.

We have dined here often for various celebrations and it’s never disappointed. It’s a beautiful location, the building itself is stunning and it’s decorated beautifully to feel traditional pub, but with a bistro-chic interior that feels luxurious but relaxed. The menu is just exquisite, whatever mood your in they cater for it, I’ve had various meals but tonight I had the roast platter with my husband and it was faultless, we both said the best roast we have ever had. What made tonight’s visit so much different was the maitre d, he impressed me by knowing everything on the menu from what it is to how it’s cooked, the wine selection, incredibly personable, friendly, humorous and customer service was impeccable. He’s genuinely passionate about what he does and this stood him out as a real asset to the dog & pickle, he brought character to the service and we were extremely impressed. However all staff are clearly very good at what they do and they make the visit a seamless experience and we did not need to request anything without them asking if we needed it. All in all this continues to be my favourite spot and in all the fancy restaurants I’ve eaten in from Michelin stars in London, to bistros in chianti, this by far exceeds all expectations of perfection.

This is a real hidden gem and well worth the trip! We have dined at this pub a few times now and you really can’t beat it! The food is absolutely excellent - both in terms of quality and presentation. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff very friendly. We will definitely be returning in the very near future. Highly recommended!

Stayed here again for a family Christmas get together. Rooms were great, nice and cosy. Also booked a table for 10 in the restaurant for the Christmas menu. Food and service were excellent. Breakfast was also very well cooked and delicious.

We arrived late last night after visiting our son with our overnight things in carrier bags. The receptionist wrote down 9 as we approached. Her attitude was cool with us, as we booked in, not giving us a room choice. All the night there were regular odd noises, so loud that they woke us both, and the bed was not as they usually are, hard, lumpy and uncomfortable. The window did not open. We were in need of a good night's sleep and did not get it. There were only 2 teabags in the room, and we only saw extras as we left in the morning. I spoke to the receptionist on the way out, she just kept on writing, or I would have said all this then. This is such a shame as we wanted to stay again this week.

We had a day trip to Wroxham and decide to eat at The Bridge. It is a lovely location and as the weather was lovely we sat outside. We were a group of 4. We had a lovely meal and the waiter was very helpful and friendly. Next time we are in Wroxham we will defiantly come here again.

disappointed, been 3 times and it’s been consistent. No sauce, so food is very dry…. But if you wish to pay £7 for garlic yogurt as a starter. Erm shouldn’t you get a small 2/3 sauces to go with your meal? I asked the 3 times if there were any sauces that come with the mixed grill £££.

My husband and myself visited on a Thursday evening with our pet. The owner was very welcoming and friendly and showed us to our self contained little barn for the evening. On arrival it was lovely and warm as there had been snow and it was very cold. The space was nice and roomy and had everything that you would need. The owner mauli asked if we were eating with them which we were. We got showered and changed for dinner, I could have stayed in the shower for hours as it was so powerful, hot and plenty of room. We had a fridge so we could keep our pets food chilled. There was a comfy sofa and dining table with chairs. We didn’t use the dishwasher but I looked inside there were dirty pots in there but this didn’t affect our stay and it was no biggy just an oversight. Everywhere else was lovely and clean apart from when I dropped my ring and had to move the bedside cabinet, I would advise giving it a move and clean every now and again. Again it didn’t spoil our stay, the bedding etc was lovely and clean. We went for dinner and Mauli had reserved us a nice table and our dog was made to feel welcome. The manager was so friendly and welcoming, and took our order for drinks. We ordered some cold leffe beers which we love but you can’t always get so it was a bonus. They have an Asian and English menu and we decided to try the Asian menu and it certainly did not disappoint when it arrived. My husband had the bihari lamb curry and I had the chilli chicken and we shared a portion of rice with a side or paratha, both our meals were absolutely delicious with lots of flavours. If you’re not staying for the night I would definitely recommend eating here, it is proper traditional cooking which was one of the best I’ve tasted. We took drinks back to our room and mauli helped my husband with these which was very helpful and kind. Our bed was very comfortable and it was a luxury for me to be able to watch tv in bed. I couldn’t resist another shower in the morning before our check out at 11am. There is an extra charge of £13 for taking your pet with you. I would recommend taking a torch with if you have a pet as the village has no streetlights. We would definitely recommend a visit and we will definitely stay again if we are in the area. Prices are reasonable, lamb curry £17.95, chilli chicken £16.50, paratha £3.95, basmati rice £3.95, leffe £4.60 and a bottle of rose Prosecco £32.00. Hopefully we can visit again soon, 100% to mauli the manager and also to the chef Anoj, you have a fabulous place and we would definitely recommend a visit.
