Went for lunch with my wife and two kids. The menu is very appealing but it was an early lunch so opted to try out the sandwich line. I went for the Philly cheesesteak wrap. I asked to have skin on fries, for me the fries are lovely but what they don’t seem to tell you (anywhere obviously) is that they are covered in spices etc. so neither my kids or my wife really liked them. The fish goujon and chicken tenders sandwiches were both very thrown together and just felt like a lack of love shown to them. I was asked if I wanted nacho cheese sauce, peppercorn or Stilton sauce with my wrap. I had not noticed this on the menu but assumed as I had ordered a Philly cheesesteak wrap that when I said I would have the nacho cheese sauce assuming it would be in the wrap but it came in a tea cup on the side which was far too deep for me to have been able to dip the wrap in it. Also when you order something like this you know it’s going to be the lowest quality steak, which is absolutely fine but that means that the steak needs to be sliced really thin so it’s not a bunch of chewy gristly lumps and making it a wholly unpleasant to eat. I have no doubt if we go back again and I try one of the burgers or some of the mix and match options they will be very nice but the sandwich line was a big miss

Went into Tipsy teapot, ( love the name!) We came in the first time, very accommodating with the wheelchair, and moved the chair to get my friend in nice and comfy. Lovely food and lovely staff.

We booked the day before for breakfast. When we turned up at 10.30 on a Sunday it was empty so we got the birdcage which is as the name suggests, shaped like a birdcage located in the middle of the restaurant. This is a quirky, beautiful restaurant that functions as a restaurant during the day and at night, from what I hear turns into a nightclub! The staff were lovely and accommodating. We had a vegan with us and they made sure they catered for her. I had French toast with fruit. This was really good, I polished my plate. My partner had pancakes and he loved them. They were small and fluffy, not sure if they were made in the shop though. Our daughter had the hash bagel and she said she liked it. I would definitely come back here. The prices were reasonable too.

Well, what a fantastic time we all had not only was the food amazing and surroundings but the staff too, we then carried on the rest of the evening upstairs with the staff and brilliant dj. We would highly recommend this place and will return. Thank you all for a fantastic time xx

We had such a good time. The drinks were so nice and at a good price. Same goes for food, it was amazing. We then spent time in the bar and we had the best night out in a long time. The staff were so lovely and just made our night. I would like to personally thank a lovely staff member named Lacey if I remember correctly. She provided the best service and made sure we had the perfect night of celebrations. Plus handling us girls drunk she needs a medal ahaha. Would highly recommend.

We stumbled upon the Tipsy Teapot on a weekend away, and it was fabulous! They were able to accommodate us turning up without a booking. I loved the decor it is so fun and adds to the atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised with the vast options of gluten-free food, and it was absolutely divine! We were quite gutted that we were too full for desert at they looked lovely. It's a great surprise to go from the nice dining experience downstairs to the night club vibes upstairs. The toilets are so fun. There is nothing that I can fault. I wish we had a local venue like this!

Did not live up to expectations or recommendations. Food was tasteless. Drinks were weak. Service was lackluster. I was really looking forward to dining here after many family members recommended it but I won't be back.

Walking around on the off chance we stumbled across this gem for Sunday brunch. A great warm welcome extended by Lisa. I went for the brioche sausage bagel which had a light, tasty pepper and onion omelette as well as the sausage - and some cheese sauce in the bagel hole (amazing - try it) Himself went for the French toast with maple syrup, banana and berries. It felt so American diner - food incredible (we cancelled our late lunch booking as we were so full up) Would highly recommend And love that the loos are signposted ‘Ablutions’ Great music too / would love to go to one of their Friday 80s nights Enjoy - you won’t regret a visit

Haven’t visited myself but this review is on behalf of my family members who visited tipsy teapot and in fact gone back to kings lynn because of knowing they could get very good food and drinks here, as well as the atmosphere for a good night out. Lovely service from Lisa, really accommodating.

What a wonderful venue this is. Quirky decoration. Great service from friendly staff. Delicious food downstairs. Upstairs the Party Bar was brilliant. Relaxed atmosphere. Fabulous music. Loved that we could just dance next to our table, as well as dance floor. Loved it! Would definitely recommend.

A very varied menu. We went in late afternoon when the restaurant was almost empty, as was the car park at the end of the street. The service was excellent and the staff very accommodating, friendly, and efficient. We ordered a variety of meals, all were well portioned, and of good quality. I would gladly recommend this establishment.

Went for a hen do bottomless brunch with a table 10. Literally couldn’t hear each other or the waitress over the music playing, it was like being sat in the middle of a night club at 4pm in the afternoon. Asked for it to be turned down a little and was told no. Ordered our food where you pick 3 dishes from the menu each and they all came out in such a jumble that no one knew who’s was who’s including the waiter so by the time we had re arranged the food on the table that was way too small for all of us the food had gone cold. The waitresses are very good at keeping on top of drinks orders so no one is without an empty glass.

We were a large post wedding party. We prebooked our food. Drinks took over an hour to come. My cooked breakfast they hadn't bothered checking the details and arrived with overcooked poached eggs with a large lump of added egg shell. Not impressed

Booked for a party of 20 and were told to pre order food. There was one other table in the place. Took an hour for the drinks to arrive. When we asked about when the food was coming after half an hour we got asked if we were all here and they would start it. Multiple orders were missing items. Avocado had gone off and egg shells were found in the food.

Been here for drinks before but first time tonight for food. Had the tapas and puddings. Cannot fault any aspect, lovely quirky

Do not come here if you have allergies. Booked an afternoon tea for 2. Initially, when we first rang to book and we informed of a nut allergy they told us it was a “nut-free kitchen” and asked us to call a few days before. When we rang, they confirmed we had a nut allergy in our booking only for us to arrive and be served a whole plate of cakes containing nuts. I have a severe allergy and when telling the staff they brought us 3 cakes and apologised for “miscommunication”. This is very worrying considering we had to confirm our booking twice and they did not take an allergy serious.

I booked an afternoon tea here last week on the 21st of March. The person I was dining with has a nut allergy, and when I called weeks before to book the afternoon tea I told them about this. I had to call back a few days before to pay in advance, and they clarified to me that they’ve put a note that there’s a nut allergy within our party. So there was no miscommunication. Overall the food was nice but I noticed that some of the sweet treats had nuts in. And when I asked the staff if these contains nuts, they said yes. I don’t understand why they would put something in our afternoon tea containing nuts when I told them about the nut allergy. Luckily I noticed it and asked them about it instead of assuming it was all nut-free otherwise it would’ve been a completely different story if the person I was with had eaten it. I’m very disappointed that our nut allergy was not taken seriously, and I would advise anyone dining here who has any sort of allergy to double check your food to prevent any sort of allergic reaction from happening.

We came here for Mother’s Day. Lovely setting, fantastic food, huge portions, friendly staff and speedy service. Rare to find somewhere that provides a kid’s afternoon tea too, that was much appreciated.

Came for afternoon tea for a 70th birthday celebration. We were sat in the birdcage, which was lovely, having a round seat we could all interact with each other. The lady serving us was friendly and very attentive. The food was served on a chandelier and loose leaf tea came in china teapots. We all enjoyed the delicious food, especially the home made scones with jam and clotted cream. The decor, the atmosphere, the food, all made for a very memorable afternoon, especially for the Birthday girl. Thank you very much Typsy Teapot 🥳

Lovely decor, friendly staff. Food was pretty bad. Seafood kebab had 2 prawns, 3 pieces of un cooked calamari not worth 16 pounds. My husband said he couldn't eat his sizzling steak as all cut off and couldn't chew it. The flat breads were not warmed up, just taken out of the packet. Food not cooked with any seasoning. Shame as a beautifully decorated place.

Not really impressed, waited 30 minutes for the food to arrive and the tapas just wasn't nice nor worth it to me.. I've been feeling nauseous since we left. When you hear bacon and onion doughnuts as weird of a combination that is, you think doughnuts with bits of onion and bacon.. ( to me anyway) no it was 2 onion rings with a piece of bacon wrapped round.. litterly 2 very small onion rings with bacon wrapped round £4.95 The pork belly had this weird tomato ketchup sauce that wasn't nice and it was laced in it so couldn't eat it, 3 " king prawns" that's 3 small little prawns on a tooth pick with a pinch of yesterday's left over salad again £4.95 My friend ordered a burger and the inside of the bun was all burnt she had to use my cheese sauce to cover the burnt taste.. For 3 meals and 3 cokes it was £63.. I don't think we will be ever coming back.. The Waitresses were very nice and welcoming and the decor in the restaurant is very nice and cozy.

Me and the other half had an amazing experience. We thought we'd try the tapas for lunch and have a few cocktails... Wasn't sure what to expect as we have not visited this place before, but we are so glad we did. As the staff said "Where have you been?" The front of house staff and even management were so welcoming, and thank you for letting us into the ethos behind your amazing place!!! Made to feel so welcome and will be definitely be back. You're gonna do amazing things!

A fab funky find in an otherwise drab and dismal choice of dining experiences here in the centre of Kings Lynne. An eclectic mix of high teas, merged with innovative cocktails and more substantial warm supper food. Alice in Wonderland meets Spanish tapas. Don't hesitate, dive right in down the rabbit hole and try unique offerings of puffle pitchers, franchio nacho combos., swinger kebabs, topped off with a biscoff and Nutella lasagne! What's not to like on this menu?

Visited on a Thursday around 3:30, didn’t book just walked in and seated. This is an amazing and beautiful restaurant. Full of colour and with unique decorations made an unforgettable experience. We both had the cocktails which were presented in beautiful china teapots :) food was so tasty , the chef even prepared a homemade bbq sauce upon request , Thank You!

Went here tonight with my partner and four friends to celebrate my partner’s birthday. My girlfriend and I arrived last and ordered a cocktail each. We were sat there for about fifteen minutes before the drinks arrived but in fairness they were both lovely!! Eventually a waitress arrived to take all of our food orders. We waited and we waited and somewhere in the region of forty five minutes came and went before the our food arrived! Upon its arrival every member of the party all said the same thing, the food was cold!! All bar one member of the party which led me to think everyone else’s food was sat in the window whilst his was being cooked. At no point did any member of staff ask us how our food was and at this point we were the only ones in there. Once the food was done the empty plates sat there for about half an hour with us all sat there waiting to be asked if we wanted desserts. Eventually the very friendly barman told us he was calling last orders and we then asked for the bill. We paid the bill eventually after the barman deleted our entire tab and had to put the whole lot back on again. We went and got desserts elsewhere because we weren’t willing to wait any longer. The place has an amazing theme and I want to fall in love with the place but sadly based on this experience they are making it very hard to do that!!

Found on a February Monday lunchtime visit to the city. Friendly, attentive staff. Great service. Extensive range of beers and cocktails. Food choices, quality of our meals / tapas we were served brilliant. I had their version of nachos, good size and lots of chicken and chorizo. Highly recommended! Didn’t break the bank either 😀

Called in to pay for my second bottomless brunch as coming again on the 17th. Whilst there decided to buy my son lunch as he had never been. Food was delicious and Mrs Tipsy and all her staff very welcoming. Looking at coming back next week to do afternoon tea with Matthew for his birthday. He loved ,like I do ,the quirkiness of the venue.

Rump steak hanging skewers were cooked to perfection. Tasty quality meat. Great 80s soundtrack brought back lots memories. Enjoyed our meal and the ambience, Service was ok. Quiet when we weer in on January week day.

Wow! Just wow! Visited here today with friends as we were making our way back to our cars and loved the look of it from outside. We were intending to have coffee but changed our mind when we were went inside and was seated in The Bird Cage. The decor is quirky and colourful and very interesting. Both members of staff were warm and friendly and told us the history behind it. We enjoyed tea from teapots, the non drivers had an amazing cocktail. We ordered various sandwiches which were delicious. The prices were very reasonable. We will definitely return when next in Kings Lynn.

Having made and enjoyed cocktails for more years that I care to remember it was great to finally find a place that served great cocktails, with a sense of humour, and fantastic staff. My wife and I visited Kings Lynn in October when the storm hit which gave us the chance to visit the Tipsy Teapot on a number of occasions (oh dear, what a shame). As I said the staff were fantastic and were only too pleased to share recommendations with us. We only wished we lived nearer. We will do a road trip later this year and will make Kings Lynn a place to visit for a few days. No points for guessing where we will enjoy a cocktail or three.

This place is a cute as a button, or better yet a teapot. The food is good, the drinks are good, and the staff are super great. Highly recommended.

What an awesome place this is, from entering you can feel the fun atmosphere with a bit of eccentricity thrown in. The food is delicious and the staff are really friendly. You can tell its a good place as everyone else there has a smile on their faces. Try a few eccentric cocktails too... you won't be disappointed! Latest update on recent visit... My fiancé said upon our visit last night, that the place felt very safe. It was just a really fun atmosphere.

Lovely little tearoom. Tea was fab! As with most places these days too much sugar in the crumble. It seems that everywhere you go for cake or deserts the sugar content is too much.

We got a last minute reservation at the Tipsy Teapot last weekend for friends and family, including toddlers. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, and the food and drink was absolutely lovely! The menu is varied and exciting, food fresh and Tash and the decor and atmosphere was brilliant. I’d happily go back, it may be even better in the afternoon/evening!

Food was OK, music too loud in eating area so you can't hear when the people you are with are talking to you. Just needs turning down a notch. Service was good.

I came here for afternoon tea with my niece back in July and it was amazing. Came back here last Weds with my parents for afternoon tea and the food was awful. The bread on the sandwiches had gone crispy and curled up at the edges, like they’d been out for days. We all had a completely different mix of sandwich fillings - my mum had 90% cheese and pickle, and no ham and mustard whereas I had only one cucumber and cream cheese, and one cheese and pickle, but mostly coronation chicken. The cakes were just a plate of brownie bites, with a few raspberry tarts which were all upside down on the plate, leaving most of the filling on the plate when we turned them over the right way. The clotted cream had a fly buried in it. It’s like we were given food that was someone else’s leftovers. The unbirthday tea didn’t taste at all like it did the last time I had it either. Very disappointed, as every other time I’ve been here it’s been amazing.

It’s the 2nd time we have come here in 2 weeks. The food is pretty amazing and has an amazing selection of gluten free options. The staff are really helpful and friendly and the décor is quirky and amazing at the same time. My family that are over from the USA have really enjoyed it here.

We visited for Norfolk Restaurant week. Good choice of Tapas and enjoyable. Service to clear and take dessert order was slow on this occasion. Not as good as our first visit.

Before you start or even after you've finished your shopping visit this place for some sustenance. We had a late breakfast, a delicious Bagel, it certainly didn't dissapoint, washed down with a lovely coffee in a wonderful quirky setting. Service was great, food fantastic and setting totally original. Will be visiting again either before the wifes dtags around Kings Lynn or after.

We walked in and staff were congregated around a hatch near the back. A shout of 'door!' promptly brought over a nice lad who took us to a table. We were offered drinks. I had a non alcoholic cocktail and hubby had a beer. The menus were very tired and worn and the tables were the same. Our server was very friendly and recommended different dishes. We placed our order and waited. The drink I had was far too sweet, but that's a preference thing. Our food arrived and it was explained the burger I had ordered wasn't there, as a mixup had happened in the kitchen. Would I accept the one they'd cooked. Seeing as everything else had arrived, I accepted. The food was good, the burger was one of the best I'd had on a long time. We ordered puddings, but felt they were a let down. The biscoff lasagne was very 'soft', it needed more bite to it. And the sundae was average. I had a coffee, but it was quite weak. Our table was cleared and we were offered the bill. I felt this was quite rushed. The bill came, along with the card reader and didn't really have time to digest it. We paid and then looked at the bill. The mix up in burgers wasn't compensated for and they'd charged it at the wrong burger price, which was dearer than the one I ordered. No one thanked us or said goodbye as we left, even though staff were huddled together, again, by the hatch. We spent nearly £80 and I felt let down. The place is nice, there's nowhere else like it about, but it doesn't hit the spot with service, though our server was a nice lad. It's a really tough time for hospitality and customer is king. We left feeling the food was nice, but probably wouldn't return as the ambience wasn't great.

I treated my son to lunch here today.we try to go somewhere fun once a month I had prebooked a table and when we arrived it was empty. We were seated and given 2 adult menus,(my son is 11) when the lady took our drink order I asked for a child's menu which she went and got us.i ordered a cappuccino and my son a hot chocolate,when we received our drinks we then ordered our food. This is where it went down hill sadly. It was quite a long wait for our food,in that time we finished our drinks noone noticed or offered us more drinks. Food arrived offered condiments and i asked for salt.our empty drinks were not taken and we were not offered anymore drinks That was it after that noone checked to make sure our food was ok,which it was not .my son got the child's burger which clearly was an adult bun cut smaller and the burger was dry. I got and adult burger which was cold and raw in the middle.(we did eat most of the food as we picked at it whilst waiting for staff to come over) I sat patiently and watched every table (which arrived after us) checked in on at least 2 to 3 times we were not checked once,I ended up flagging someone down to ask for ketchup for my son.this was given to us and again no conversation ,no their you go is everything OK do you need anything else,nothing. Once we had finished again I had to stand up after waiting some time (whilst watching staff chatting and laughing at the bar for quite some time) I had to lean over to the greeter and ask for the kids menu for the deserts,this still did not trigger anyone to come over. Whilst the table opposite me was paying I then flagged that member of staff down to ask for the bill. I did explain how dreadful the service was to the member of staff who did our bill and she did apologise however I will not lie this was our first time here ,my son loves Alice and wonderland so this was meant to be a special treat and we both just wanted to leave in the end ,he even turned desert down .Just before we left we went to the toilets as we passed the staff I overheard the server speaking about us to the other servers ,we passed the same staff to leave not another word said. For such a beautiful restaurant I won't lie I was so disappointed maybe it was just bad luck but although the food was not amazing the service is what ruined our entire experience,had the service been good the food would not have been that big a deal. We were looking to arrange for a family trip for your afternoon tea but at £20 a head and the experience we had today that is something we will now not be doing

Everything about this place 5/5. From its quirky Alice in Wonderland decor to its fabulous tapas and burgers. Also a great selection of draught beers and lagers. Staff are really friendly and also know the menu which helps when choosing what to order. Would recommend to anyone having a visit to Kings Lynn

Interior design is fabulous! The food, not so fabulous. Tea was brought out 30 minutes before my bagel so it was cold by the time the bagel came. The sausage bagel also came cold and not buttered. I wasn't offered for it to be toasted but I presumed it would at least come warm/room temperature. My partner got a fry, quite small and his sausage looked anaemic! Poached egg was hardboiled. The wait was also about 45 mins in total to get the food from ordering. Without the interior design, it's just a mediocre cafe. I don't really get the hype.
