Great pub to visit. The food was etiquettly prepared but just touched our stomach ! Menu was extensive to the test of the food!

El almuerzo del Día de la Madre fue decepcionante, 4 adultos y un bebé se pusieron en una mesa pequeña, sin suficiente espacio para obtener cómodamente comida y bebidas. No se le pedían bebidas hasta que se tomaba el pedido de comida, entonces el agua nunca apareció a la mesa. La comida estaba bien, pero las verduras eran duras, las patatas asadas estaban quemadas, salsa de ternera con cena de cerdo asado, en realidad. En general no es una experiencia gastronómica relajada por el precio muy caro de £ 90 por pareja, 1 bebida, entrantes y principal. 😡

As I have a badly broken wrist I pre-ordered a turkey and a pork Easter Day Lunchbox which I thought would be a nice way to celebrate the occasion. My partner collected these at noon on Sunday and we ate them after a bit of re-heating. Both were absolutely delicious! I chose pork for me as the best I have ever eaten was at Perkins some years ago when I selected a pork medallions dish from their menu. Thank you to the chef and all who were involved in producing our lovely lunch.

We were staying in the area so we thought we would come for dinner Friday evening when we got there it was pizza night. We walked in and it was so busy at the bar and it all felt very impersonal. We had our food which was good however we weren't asked if our meal was okay and if we needed anything. I know it was extremely busy but please don't lose the personal touch. Felt more like an hindrance and it was expensive for 2 of us.

The Plough is everything you could wish for in a country pub. Beautifully kept beer, cosy interior, always a warm welcome, good food and an absolutely stunning beer garden. The place is clearly loved by everyone in the community and with good reason. As a newcomer to the village I really appreciated the warm welcome. Highly recommended!

Came across this place on a long journey and couldn’t have worked out better. Such a lovely pub and fabulous food. They were very short staffed but they all worked so hard and it in no way affected our experience. Can only imagine how incredible it would be with the full team. Thank you to the whole team for a great meal
