I've had New York Pizza: oregano over dry mozzarella and a slightly sweet tomato sauce, on a supremely thin, flame cooked, dough.
This is typical, UK, Asian, take-away pizza, a step above fried chicken shop pizza, which is fine, but it's absolutely not NY style in any way.

The highest quality of the highest quantity dishes. Swahili Coast Of Kenya 🇰🇪 has been blessed with intermingling cultures interwoven overtime and only the best dishes have survived on the island 🏝️ of Mombasa where this restaurant gets it's name from - A Must Try!
As far as indie coffee goes it's pretty poor. I'm sure the coffee used to be better but it's pretty stock Costa Coffee quality now. If you love your coffee the best places are Leicester Coffee House, The Coffee Obsessive and Saints of Mocha.

Please don’t get deceived for the 5-star rated comments. The atmosphere was awful and unclean. Nobody was there to take the order. After like 2 minutes a lady came up & asked another customer in Tamil why we were there. And he said to place an order. That lady couldn’t understand English and misunderstood our order 2 times. Finally that customer was telling us that these people are only doing take away orders. Toilet was out of order as you can see in the below picture. Seats were very dirty as you can see below. I don’t recommend anyone to go there unless you can talk Tamil and taking food away. Even then, I’m not sure about their food quality.
Lovely friendly staff 1st visit yesterday lunchtime had a cooked breakfast staff cheery and friendly and cater for likes/dislikes they swapped some menu items such as beans and tomato for extra toast was no trouble for them I will return they have large varied menu for all tastes

I struggled to find the main entrance for the takeaway as I appeared to enter some sort of social club. The behaviour of some of the clientele also made me feel uneasy.
However, once I'd got my food and was safely at home, it was absolutely delicious and the portions were generous!
I live in Warwickshire and found the takeaway via Google when my Gran said she wanted a curry - this was the closest takeaway to her house in Scraptoft. She was very impressed, and referred to it as a "hidden gem".
We'll definitely be returning.
Popped in for drink and cake as we were in the area.
The young Lady behind counter not exactly welcoming and served out drinks and cake on a tray that had a lot of crumbs on - no attempt to clear the tray before it was used again. 🤬
This does begs the question over hygiene standards
In fairness, the cakes and drinks were very good as is the seating area and views
The first thing I noticed when I got there was how kind everyone was. They decorated it typically Sri Lankan things and the atmosphere was great. The food was brilliant. It was fresh, delicious and well balanced. For adventurous visitors, they have fiery spicy foods. Amazing variety makes this restaurant a masterpiece. 10/10 "Masterpiece".

We had a great night. The food was well prepared on the day, I could taste the ingredients were fresh and care was taken in the cooking process. The dhal was flavoursome and smokey, breads were soft, fish was tasty. Spices were used well, not too much not too little.
We even got a free dessert, which was excellent, Gulab Jamun and cream with beetroot halwa. The the staff showed us everything was handmade.
Portions were great, starters were generous.
The staff were excellent, took the time to talk to us and explain things, they were also entertaining and extremely friendly.
Thank you for a great night. 😊.
I got the lamb chettinad, which tasted pretty decent/good and was on the salty side. I was a bit disappointed with the portion size as it came out, given it costs £8.50~ if my memory does not fail me. This price is in line with other places, to be fair. However, the worst thing to me and what has primarily upset me is that a single roti is £3.25. I wasn't gonna have curry without a roti or something.. but yes despite my tiredness at the time arguably I am the fool who paid £3.25 for a single roti, despite knowing I was going to get a single roti. Again though, this might somewhat be in line with other places, though I haven't explored enough.
That being said, the curry (eaten with the roti) was fairly filling despite its size though I wasn't too happy with the cost.
As for the atmosphere, it was okay though oddly meals eaten by past patrons were left out and not cleaned on other tables. Perhaps this was to show the restaurant wasn't inactive, as only one person was present there when I went, and no-one was eating when I was.
The server was chill, I did express my frustration about the portion size and we talked about it a bit.
The main reason for my 2 stars is simply the value to result ratio and I am a bit bitter as a result (though yes I paid for this somewhat knowingly). I ended up paying around £11 for the meal you see in the pictures, a third of which came from a single roti. As such I wouldn't come here again, though I would consider it if I brought my own kind of bread.. That being said the meal itself was decent/good.
