Popped in for drink and cake as we were in the area. The young Lady behind counter not exactly welcoming and served out drinks and cake on a tray that had a lot of crumbs on - no attempt to clear the tray before it was used again. 🤬 This does begs the question over hygiene standards In fairness, the cakes and drinks were very good as is the seating area and views

We were in Leicester for the day to visit the King Richard 111 Visitor Centre and Cathedral. The cafe was adjacent to the Cathedral and was light and airy with seating well spaced out. We were spoilt for choice with the variety of cakes on offer but settled on the mini Victoria spoke cake and coffee cake which we thoroughly enjoyed. Lovely atmosphere and staff polite and cheerful. Well worth a visit.

We went for a lunch meeting here. The food was ok. Sandwiches and jacket potatoes. Nothing special; but acceptable.

Orange juice was very nice so were the sandwiches and pot of coffee. Although we hadn't finished the sandwiches the waitress asked if everything was o.k. we said yes and she just took the sandwiches away and said she would box them up, gobsmacked comes to mind. When the cakes arrived there were too many for two people even though they were packed up for us to take home the next day they were rock hard. 8 cakes for 2 people I thought this was abit of a waste. Apart from that it was very nice. Would I go back again, yes I think we would but please cut down on the cakes as no one can eat that amount.

We were staying overnight in the nearby (and linked) St Martins Lodge and breakfast in the cafe was included - a short stroll in the sunshine led us to a bright and airy eaterie right next door to the cathedral, and an excellent Sunday morning feast with top class sausages and excellent tea (served in a pot which didn't drip, which is a rarity for cafes these days). High quality produce, nicely judged menu with something for everyone, very friendly and helpful staff, nice setting - what's not to like?

This friendly cafe which is adjacent to Leicester cathedral, the last resting place of King Richard III, and the Guild hall is an excellent place to rest and refresh yourself. The Cafe is welcoming in its modern environment and the refreshments are great too. Well worth a visit.

Ordered the tiramisu via ubereats as really been wanting one for ages. Very disappointed purchase especially as I could only order either 1/2 or the whole cake. The tiramisu was nothing like you would expect it was more like a vanilla cake and very dry, with a layer of chocolate. Not the moist or anything like a tiramisu, very cake like at all. Waste of money and food. Avoid if you are after an actual tiramisu and not some very expensive vanilla cake with a layer of chocolate. Very disappointed wish I had ordered something completely different.
