Ninety Six Degrees in Leicester

As far as indie coffee goes it's pretty poor. I'm sure the coffee used to be better but it's pretty stock Costa Coffee quality now. If you love your coffee the best places are Leicester Coffee House, The Coffee Obsessive and Saints of Mocha.

Popped in for a takeaway coffee. Quick and friendly service, drinks were delicious. Would definitely go back again! :)

My mum found this place and i have decided this place is ideal to get my uni work done in, i also highly recommend you go for a ruby mocha/ hot choc because they are lovely, the staff remember you and are always friendly,

First coffee was nice. The second was hotter than the sun. Overall the food was nice and tasty, but it took an age to arrive. When 2 of 4 dishes arrived, we made a start. Those two plates were finished before the next two arrived it took so long. The scrambled egg was also cold.

We came for a hot chocolate and peach ice tea on our work great the hot chocolate was absolutely beautiful down to the detail they took the on decor and the peach ice tea was so refreshing and sweet will 1000% Come again

I be going here few years all thought staff and coffee and cake were nice. After Sunday, They was group people over took cafe, very loud bad behaviour. It spoil very nice morning. I could hear my self speak to my husband. I send email to manger, he basic said they were regularly but I was , only work that keep not going regularly basic. Just because they spend more money then me. Does mean iam less important then me or my husband. He was not willing to do anything about it. Not way run business, specially iam local too. I will never go back

I’ve been here a few times with friends and family and I’m always impressed by the stylish interior (plants, artwork etc) and excellent coffee and hot chocolate selection. The food is also plentiful and delicious ! Anyone is welcome and lots of different types of people go to the cafe. My Dad is in there all the time. Would recommend to coffee lovers :)

A bit out of the way and not obvious it was open with all the Christmas decorations Still on the windows, We arrived at 12.30 and because we were eating out later just wanted a snack and coffee, there were five empty tables with seat for about 15 to 20 people and 3 staff we told no we don't serve toast or tea cakes after 11.30 With the economy as it is I would have thought a couple spending £ 15 to£ 20 in ten minutes would be better than leaving tables empty but no. We were warmly welcomed in cafe Nero across the road where we spent £ 18.

This is probably the nicest cafe in Leicester. If you didn’t look outside, you would think you are in one of the trendiest places in the UK. Lovely atmosphere inside, top notch coffee quality and taste, great fresh food selection, and quite big portions. I had the tomato, mozzarella sandwich but could not finish it! I was trying to force myself as it felt such a waste of food, just wish I had asked where the sourdough bread was from. Will ask next time if you sell it or of you could share where it is from. Keep going, guys!

I visited Ninety Six Degrees in Leicester for the first time this afternoon to buy a coffee The service was very quick, the coffee was so delicious, the staff were very friendly & smiley and a very calming ambiance inside too :)

What a fabulous place! It has an excellent friendly atmosphere , amazing choice of delicious food and fab smiley staff. Left wanting more!

Easily one of the worst cafes I’ve ever been to. “No we won’t take your Scottish money” type of place....”Only British notes here” should be renamed the Brexit Cafe!

welcoming staff....i had the pea and ham soup which was nice and thick my son and husband had a bacon sandwich which were average, the bacon in my sons one was over done and too hard....a little overpriced for what was actually produced. a nice little cafe. menu was a bit limited for me.

Can’t fault the place lovely and clean. Nice place to sit outside when the suns out. Good prices, great coffee and friendly service. I come at least once a week

I wasn’t disappointed. Met a friend for a brunch date. I had cortados and porridge. Both were really tasty! Reasonable veggie/vegan options. Nice chilled vibe. Friendly staff. Bike rack just outside so you can keep an eye - a bonus for me :) Will visit again 😊

Every Monday with friend coffee catch up deferent place we try but this place very good flavour coffee every things was good friendly service staff was excellent we will recommend this place ....

Okay I’ll admit it, I’m a coffee snob. I can’t stand lattes or cappuccino or any other other of those coffee flavoured drinks. I like coffee! So it’s with great joy I urge you to hunt out this gem of a cafe near to De Montfort University / Narborough Road. Not only is the coffee exceptionally high quality , the breakfasts are terrific, the light lunches innovative, and always served with a genuine, welcoming smile. The wide range of cakes and cookies are home-made by mum, and you’ll enjoy munching on them in the wonderful atmosphere. It’s low-key, yet the kind of place where you’ll want to stay for awhile after you’ve finished your superb coffee. They also cater for very young children with high chairs and a big table for games and toys. Worth seeking out.

I have only successfully been here once and tried to come here another 2 times. Once I arrived to a hand written note saying they were closed. Frustrating but I decided to give it another try. Then next time I went at 5. Didn't realise they weirdly close before people finish work. I really think they would get the business if they stayed open longer. The time i did manage to go the coffee was quite good. Needed explaining though as apparently i had bought something that didn't require milk but they didn't tell me that when they told me to pick the beans for my drink. Quite good coffee but a bit hipster basically.

What a shame! Have visited in the past and had really pleasant experiences. Sadly we were disappointed on our latest visit. The place looked noticeably dirty; cobwebs, spiders, dust and general grime in corners, around furniture and between sofas. The cakes for sale on the counter were left uncovered and looked as though they’d been left out for a while and had a couple of inquisitive flies landing on them! I have to say I was also horrified as I watched the chef untie his ‘man-bun’, have a good scratch and then shake his hair all over the work tops in full view of the customers!! My partner later had the misfortune of walking past the kitchen area on the way to the bathroom and observed that it appeared in a state of mess and untidiness. Very sad to have to write this review. I must say however that the service from the baristas was great; very warm and friendly and drinks were very nice. Would like to return but only if hygiene is improved.

Think worked that one out - optimum water temp for brewing coffee! Great tasting coffee, from other feedback very good food. Park at Tesco's .

We come here often with the little one before going to the library. There are lots of toys to play with... And grownups can really enjoy the excellent coffee (with cakes if you want). Comfy sofas and seating. It's just round the corner from DMU. Recommended!

Our new favourite coffee shop! Very chilled out atmosphere, friendly staff and decent prices. We got tea, coffee, banana bread and a peanut butter brownie, all lovely and homemade. Will be back to try food from their lunch menu next time.

Me and my partner were on a Sunday quest for coffee and cake. We'd been walking around for a while when we happened across this place and it ended being a solid find. This shop is a bit cramped, it's very hipster, in decor and customers, but the prices and menu were great. I got an iced coffee and a flapjack and both were lovely, though there was a hair baked into my flapjack. A real shame, but hopefully a one-off. Live acoustic music was being played, don't k ow how regular an occurrence this is but it was quite nice. Would go again if I was in the area.

This is one of those rare independent coffee shops that's just off the city centre that's worth going to.

I have been here twice now, the second time for food which was perfect on a Saturday morning, so yummy! the mochas are better than the ones I have from COSTA- and that is very hard to beat! Never has a local coffee shop impressed me so much. I'm 30 seconds from it so I am so happy I'll be coming here every week! such friendly and accommodating staff. The interior is relaxing, modern and lovely. Thankyou so much!!

A lovely café with really accommodating friendly staff. Their food and drink selection is very good, and one of the first cafes to offer healthy protein shakes too. Whilst the café may look small from the outside it feels spacious inside. Their coffee is also very good quality and supplied by a local firm. You get the sense that you could be there for a quick drink or all day long. There was no pressure to finish up and go, you were allowed to take your time and enjoy your time there. Next time I’m in the area again and I want a bite to eat and a good coffee I’ll be nipping in.
