This place is a little gem. Best Full English breakfast I’ve had in ages, a right bargain too. Staff are lovely - friendly and chatty. Such a great vibe. They’d run out of orange juice so went and bought some so I could have a glass. Also we left some stuff behind and they came and found us to return in. Would go again 100%. Lunchtime stuff looks amazing too, if I was local I’d be here loads!

In Buxton as hungry tourists on a rainy day looking for something tasty to take away. Came upon Pig and Pepper which is a bakery that does really great coffee and wonderful sweet and savoury baked goods. We chose a broccoli and cheese focaccia, a flaky Parmesan and red pepper savoury, a proper Scandinavian-style cinnamon bun, and a pecan topped orange polenta cake. Every one of these items was excellent like the highest quality home baking. Lady who served us was super friendly and helpful. Tiny premises filled with nice things!

Fab little cafe with great food and beer - homemade cauliflower soup was superb and the small plate beetroot hummus and mushroom pate were delicious great attentive service.

Lovely little place with inside and outside tables, next to shop in quiet old arcade opposite the Opera House. Superior food with a local flourish, and Buxton Pudding Emporium shop next door run by same people. Not fast food, quality comes with care and attention which takes time, so don't rush, enjoy the flavours and the quiet location.

Always a favourite whenever we visit Buxton, in the winter the fire is so comforting, along with a warming spiced cocktail. This visit in the summer we enjoyed the lunch menu. The prawn cocktail was generous and tasty, the crab cakes were clearly freshly made and the whipped feta was divine.

It was such a treat to go out for lunch and to not have to ask a hundred questions about ingredients and how the food is prepared. Delicious lunch for my daughter and I. Fabulous ambience and tasty food, but best of all 100% gluten free. Paradise!

Unfortunately not the greatest Italian experience, although staff were lovely. Calamari starter not as described in menu. Was like a dough baked in deep fried batter, certainly not calamari as I know it. Mains were OK, nice meatballs, although quite large Clam tagliatelle tasty but very oily. In my opinion overrated by previous reviewers. Not going again.

We traveled two hours from Nottingham to try Sushi Kaji in Shrewsbury, and it was absolutely worth every mile. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Every dish we ordered was unbelievably delicious, fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with authentic flavors. Even my 7-year-old brother, who can be a picky eater, absolutely loved his food. That says a lot about the quality and taste of their sushi. It’s rare to find a place that delivers both quality and authenticity, but Sushi Kaji does it perfectly. If you're a sushi lover (or even if you’re new to it), this place is 100% worth the trip. We’ll definitely be coming back 👌🏼
