Very disappointed this time around as the person preparing the order got is so wrong that it was almost laughable as was missing almost half of the ingredients, no apologies no explanation-had zero customer service skills with ‘i really dont care attitude’.

Wow, what a find! Unable to eat at the pub we originally went to due to problem with their kitchen, so we headed off not knowing where we were headed and found Barringtons. Extremely friendly, food was delicious and beer and wine great. Returned two days later and will not hesitate again. Thank you.

A great stay with friends at The Square and Compass, very friendly landlords, enjoyed the Sunday Quiz Night with the locals. Superb rooms, excellent breakfast, good conditioned draught beer, beautiful position. Thank you Suzanne and Alan.

I came with my parents for lunch, we weren't after anything fancy and we are local so thought we would try here. I asked for 3 ham toasties and was told they were short staffed and weren't doing hot food. I had just seen a sandwich and bowl of chips come out so I changed my order to three ham sandwiches, (nice and easy). I could see a box of "made up cobs" in clingfilm, which the staff member ferreted through and handed over the counter to me. When I said I really wanted a sandwich, she said " so you want me to make a sandwich up for you", she then said she could make me a NUTELLA sandwich!. Basil Fawlty did spring to mind at this point and we soon left and went to forest nurseries cafe down the road which was a much better experience. I did later explain to my dad that nutella was very different to ham! On a positive note the cafe is in a good location.

This is a strange place. Six of us went for a meal but were told it was fish and chip friday. So it appeared we could have fish and chips. They did reluctantly being a menu for other meals but really were not too keen to serve those . We had the fish and chips which were very nice but it would appear that they really only want to cater for the folks living there.

We recently stayed locally for two nights and ate at the Miner’s Arms both nights. Nic was so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious on the first night but on bonfire night, we ordered the greedy Greek platter on Nic’s recommendation and it was excellent! Delicious food, really dog friendly and very welcoming. We’ll be back!

Great setting. Elegant dining room. But let down by slow service - one hour wait for food to be served - menu inaccurate, food appeared to have been kept warm in kitchen for too long, not good quality ingredients. For that quality overpriced.

Another great 2nd Saturday afternoon of the month at the Plough. The Panther Owners Club section meeting. We even had several Panthers today. Very friendly staff look after an unruly bunch of bikers with beer or coffee for those riding plus chip butties. Always a great day, thanks go to all concerned. Lesser makes of bike accepted.
