As a fan of subway I always enjoy there food on offer, I don't really eat in, just a grab and go for me, good food selection of baguettes etc hot and cold available, crisps, cakes, biscuits ice cream and drinks available also

Great service walked up to counter and both staff members had friendly smile, ordered food and the entire time great customer service asked me how my day was and just a friendly atmosphere, food was warm as well compared to other places I’ve been, I’ve recommend the place to half my family to the point they pretty much all have subway cards, been going their for years and they get to know you.

Very disappointed this time around as the person preparing the order got is so wrong that it was almost laughable as was missing almost half of the ingredients, no apologies no explanation-had zero customer service skills with ‘i really dont care attitude’.

Been driving at least 10 miles for years just to go to this subway. The staff are friendly and service is great! sandwiches are the best compared to the other subways I've tried. They don't skimp on ingredients.

It is located inside Texco and managed by a single person who seems to be stressed. Patience is needed as service is slow. No seating available. I hope extra support is made available to serve customers.

Great selection of subway sandwich fillers on offer. Depending on the time you go, like all subways they tend to run out very early on certain items.

I been there 5:30 pm and they all ready about to close and one of the staff says they can’t provide hot food she clean the oven. Had to come from there with kids no food .

This is an excellent subway. Really friendly and helpful staff... The only downside is unfortunately Zoe... She is very nice and friendly but she is so slow and forgetful. She's been there a while now and still needs to look at the picture to see what bread you've asked for... The last time I went and saw she was on the till I went without

Only just off the beaten track; a real hidden gem! First but definitely not our last visit - generous, hot, and very tasty food. Sunday roast today; pie next time. Great staff, friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

4 Victoria SquareAbsolutely lovely food. The waitresses were all excellent, very friendly and attentive. The decor, lighting, candles were lovely. It was very romantic, with everyone there talking quietly with no raised voices, making it a really nice night out. Highly recommended !

Our recent stay at The Red Lion in Matlock exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. We enjoyed co-owner Lee’s dry scene of humour. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing escape on our anniversary. Our room was clean and comfortable. The Sunday roast carvery, wow! The restaurant was fully booked so an advance booking is recommended. The selection of meats was cooked to perfection, tender and succulent, with a fantastic selection of roasted vegetables and light, fluffy Yorkshire puddings. It was, without a doubt, one of the best carvery lunches we’ve had for a long time. The location of The Red Lion is also a huge plus. Matlock itself is a beautiful town with plenty to explore, and the pub's central location makes it an ideal base for discovering the surrounding area. We had a day out at nearby Bakewell, and another day we enjoyed a walk to Lumsdale Falls. Overall, our stay at The Red Lion was exceptional. The combination of friendly staff, comfortable accommodation, and a truly outstanding Sunday roast carvery, the on-site micro brewery (my favourite was the Giddy Edge IPA), makes this a must-visit. I wholeheartedly recommend The Red Lion to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway in Matlock. We can't wait to return!
