Lovely cafe in great location, amazing food at a great price, ingredients top quality, great portions, great friendly staff , nothing too much trouble , plenty of parking available in the area, highly recommended

If you want a good Chinese meal at a relatively decent price, then this is the place to go.John and Bev are excellent hosts.The food is plentiful, hot, and well prepared A good selection of wine, beer, spirits and liquors.Car parking at the rear,but only enough space for about 6 vehicles The restaurant seats probably around 30.Nice background music too.I can't fault it.

Beautiful ember inns pub with such friendly staff the young lad on the bar was very friendly and cheeky ☺️

Absolutely normal for a Premier Inn hotel but the restaurant was very disappointing.

It's on level 5 ! Can't fault this place. An oasis in the desert. Sep 24 1.99 for a cadbury hot chocolate, 1.49 for pg tea.

As always good food but received an incorrect item

After friends were always telling us to try here we finally went and we will definitely be regulars now. The food was lovely and my husband said it was the best pie he had ever had. The staff were lovely and it was a relaxing atmosphere. Could not fault it.

Good music and good value drinks. Have not been for a very long time and it has changed since I last went (no longer serves food and more open plan than it was). Won't leave it as long until I next go,

Been a few times. Service is sometimes very good with staff keen to serve. Other times staff just ignore you. Also prices seem to randomly change depending on who serves you. Sometimes food tastes great sometimes it’s average. Just not consistent enough. If they improved certain aspects they would be a lot better. I did prefer the place when it was Yadagaar. Also unfortunately they currently only have a 1 star hygiene rating 😳

Well what a sad review to write. The team have been pulled apart under the closure terms, many of which have been made redundant from a career they have worked in for decades. Until the news it has always been great food and great service. Understandable that they slipped a bit given the circumstances. Thank you all for your years of service to us all. All the best for the whole team for the future. Derby will miss The Mallard!

Didn't like it when they took the tandoori chicken out of the freezer and put it in the microwave. I thought it would be fresh. Apart from that the foods good
