Itās been 3 years since Iāve had a Chinese and found the wonderful Zing Vaa in littleover Derby, which is ran by the loviest couple, when I arrived they had already highlighted all the vegetarian and gluten free options on the menu. They reassured me they cooked their dishes from scratch and in separate pans, I had GF prawn crackers, Vegetable Yuk Sung as starters and a lovely Vegetable curry, rice and chips for mains. They had so much choice and the setting was really gorgeous, full of twinkle lights and a lovely atmosphere. It is honestly the most attentive and best service you could ask for when eating out as a coeliac and I couldnāt recommend the place anymore.

We decided to book a last minute lunch here on a Sunday. Our table was hooked for 12pm, when the pub opened and we were surprised at how many people turned up for when the doors opened. As we walked in we were welcomed by the most friendly staff who showed us where our tables was and explained the process of ordering your carvery and drinks at the bar, then go and get your food when the queue isn't too big. We were with our two young children and went straight to get our food. It was delicious, 3 choices of meat, Yorkshire puddings, crackling and Stuffing. Then the range of vegetables and accompanying sauces was brilliant too. We were so impressed by the price, wonderful staff and delicious food. We will definitely be back!

Good music and good value drinks. Have not been for a very long time and it has changed since I last went (no longer serves food and more open plan than it was). Won't leave it as long until I next go,

Well what a sad review to write. The team have been pulled apart under the closure terms, many of which have been made redundant from a career they have worked in for decades. Until the news it has always been great food and great service. Understandable that they slipped a bit given the circumstances. Thank you all for your years of service to us all. All the best for the whole team for the future. Derby will miss The Mallard!
