Coffee to go, called in like several occasions before, ordered a coffee told to wait outside, after 10 mins I asked nicely was it ready as waitress walked by, she walked back in saying for ffs, came out with the coffee slammed it down telling me not to bother going again. Don't worry I won't. Pity coffee was good.

Stopped off for a drink whilst on the Gringley on the hill circular walk, very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. Got peckish and ordered a pizza and fires, was not disappointed, the food was tasty and good value for money.

A lovely Sunday lunch again would be nice to have broccoli and cauliflower without the cheese not to keen on mongetout n sweetcorn last time we had brisket and it just melted in your mouth the sirloin not as good but still not bad. My husband had the lamb shank that was very nice. We do love the pub and the atmosphere the service is always good nice friendly staff. Just been for Sunday lunch again and as usual very good. There was 4 of us and a couple on next table completely saying we were to loud . Bearing in my the pub was pretty busy so was already noisy so you had to speak up to be heard but we were laughing as well apparently we shouldn't be out enjoying ourselves. But it is a pub not a restaurant .So I complained to the staff and they said we was ok we wasn't loud. some people should just stay at home. We had the sirloin beef and was very nice but when they have the brisket it's the best. Will keep going back we really like this pub and would definitely recommend. The staff are always friendly.

Such a lovely place. Staff were so nice and food was delicious, you could tell it was home cooked. Best pub food I've ever had were the fish and chips and onion rings from here. £60 for three people to eat and drink, and the wait for food is around 45 minutes, but it's worth it 100%.

Return visit since Covid and well worth the visit. Wide selection of food to restaurant standard . Greeting and service first class. Owner chef very visible throughout meal.Food presentation good

Very disappointed! Shuffled into the back room with two families with dog and small kids- not at all relaxing as it was cramped. I asked for extra veg to go with my salmon as I don’t like cabbage- was told there wasn’t anything! The man was abrupt and surly and the service was extremely slow. Not what we had hoped for sadly. Next time will ask for a table in the front which was less crowded and nearly empty . If there is a next time…..

Buena comida caliente en el plato caliente. Sin embargo, el servicio dejó mucho que desear Preguntado al final por supuesto si está bien, no hay oferta de un postre o café. Sin atmósfera y un poco de temperatura fría

Excelente comida decepcionada por el servicio y la organización de los invitados y mesas. Esperamos ayer después de tener una reserva durante una hora para ser mostrado a una mesa. Después de una larga espera para la comida nos sirvieron una deliciosa comida sin defectos. Pero lamentablemente el personal de servicio está decepcionando a un fabuloso chef / chefs y personal de cocina. Por favor marque su entrada ya que en la oscuridad deambulamos buscando por dónde entrar, no está marcado y no es una puerta acogedora. Ordene su sistema de reservas. Nos dijeron que había un error en el día. El personal no está realmente en la pelota con el servicio tristemente. Pero la comida era totalmente excelente! ¡Daría 20 de cada 10! Delicioso es un eufemismo, por eso volveríamos. Esperemos que fuera un chasco en el día, pero el personal de cocina bien hecho. La mejor comida que hemos tenido en la zona con diferencia.

Fabulous olde world pub tastefully decorated and offering a great choice of ales including 2 cask ales . We'll worth a visit .

Nos alojamos aquí durante la noche y también cenamos en el Angel. La comida era fantástica, tuvimos 3 platos, todos hechos en casa y muy bien cocinados. El bar tenía muy buenas ventas, e incluso había un cantante / guitarrista actuando que era muy bueno. Adele era muy acogedor y nuestra habitación con baño estaba muy limpia y cómoda con un montón de agua caliente. Como es casi diciembre el calentador estaba encendido en la habitación y estaba tostado! Había una mini nevera con agua embotellada, té y café y galletas en la habitación. Había artículos de aseo, toallas, secador de pelo y TV. Muy recomendable!
