Dropped in for a few drinks during charter day. Drinks kept flowing and pizza and loaded fries to die for! Special mention to Gracie-Mae for her lovely friendly service

The Salad bar is an absolute favourite for your household. The service is always lovely and fast, the food is always delicious, the caramelized onion sausage rolls are absolutely awesome. The drivers are always happy and will go above and beyond to accommodate, an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Dear TripAdvisor. You and the wider internet have well and truly lied to us. The Ship Inn of Retford is basically an absolute hole, disguised as a half decent establishment. The lass behind the bar was proper canny, but she was up against it when it became apparent that there was absolutely no-one in the building capable of heating up a chilli cheese dog. Problematically, though, instead of telling us that they couldn't quite manage to serve up said dish, they readily took our money and left us sitting for over an hour, with an oft-promised 'two-minutes on your food'. Coq au Vin to that we said, after 75 minutes of my stomach thinking my throat had been cut. The final straw was the pub football team(s) who gradually took over the place, who were canny to begin with but then the chief mischief maker entered stage rear, soon to be visited by his actual dealer, and with all the excitement of a new pencil case on the first day of term, took to smoking himself a nice blunt. Now there's a time and a place for this activity, and 1pm on a Sunday lunchtime in a pub next to little kids is not a single one of those. So we left. With a difficult-to-get refund, and still with the stomach and throat thing in full swing. What an absolute chuff on. Only getting one star because you won't let me give precisely none. Do your stomach and your nose a favour, give it a nice wide berth.

Kennys …lovely firendly Staff .. ive been going here for two years now and never had a bad lunch / tea…the home fish cakes & cheese cakes are unique to kennys .. Haddocks are a Good size & Scampi larger than normal !! we’ ve eaten in a few times but usually take home .. Recommended !! 🎖️

Order the 12oz smash burger, well where can I start cost nearly double price of a normal burger, they decide to throw in 2 quarter pound burger, when calling to say they have given me the wrong burger the call staff was so rude, I asked for a refund of the correct burger, where I was told what you want me to do ? Contact just eat! Onion rings looks like the driver sat on them, worst takeaway in Retford! Very rude staff avoid! A refund or new burger to keep your reputation and you can't be ased

The breakfast selection is good they have a range of choices including yoghurts and breakfast bars, fresh fruit and juices as well as toast, and a selection of cereals. Staff are amazing and will help no end and the atmosphere is quiet and calm.

Staff provided me with takeaway cups when they asked if i was sitting in and said yes and didn’t put the correct sauce inside of my cup due to this, selfish people sat in the comfiest seats with NO DRINK!!! 🤯 Staff are just incompetent and prices as always are extortionate. Not worth the prices as they do not provide you what is said on the menu

Sadly will this has to be the worst takeaway meal I have ever almost eaten. We ordered pad thai which was essentially singapore noodles floating in a sweet sauce, the ginger and garlic prawns you could not detect any garlic or ginger. The other dishes where much the same no taste or flavour. Telephoned immediately and was told no one else complains and they are sorry we didn't like it! Obviously will not be going back!

Awful food sent mine back , not cooked properly, tasteless the chips were a overcooked soggy mess , I would advise anyone to avoid , staff are not good waited for ever to given bad food , ended up leaving it and going to butgerking at blyth services which was a hundred times better then the food we were given here.

Highly recommended - hugely disappointed . Took 45 minutes for a bacon sandwich to be served. Kitchen was ‘so busy’ apparently ? 10 other guests in the restaurant - should have mentioned the ‘busy’ status when order was taken. Then delivery 5 minutes for my dish after the other two I was with were served. Then to see that the bacon sandwich had one meagre slice of bacon - poor value - Greggs would have been at least 3 rashers for half the price in 2-3 minutes. First and last time ever. Such a huge disappointment when there are far better similar venues with better service, value and food for breakfast
