I was recommended to have food from here by my family member which in my eyes was a good choice ordered my food delivery time was a 45min wait but it came in 20mins The food is delicious I would recommend this to others

Tried a few Chinese takeaways and this has to be the best. The food is outstanding plentiful and always hot. Reasonably priced wouldnt go anywhere else. Well done guys!

We used to rely on lucky days for a good value tasty meal. Last one sweet sour balls under cooked, no sauce with balls, need to work hard to regain reputation.

We used to buy food from here quite regularly but as you do we moved on to other things so when we decided we were going to have a takeaway on Saturday we thought we would go for Chinese and went for the old favourite. Well, something seems to have changed. I can’t quite put my finger on it but the best description I can give is “bland”. The mushroom noodles always had a lovely smokey aroma and taste, but not now. It might just have been a one off or a bad night in the kitchen but it might be a while before we go again.

Fantastic take away, best for miles around. We travel 15 mile to get a takeaway from here. Fried rice is amazing, white and fluffy none of that brown dry stuff you often get in Chinese takeaways. Spring role's are awesome.

Used to go here before current management. Went recently. Food is vomit inducing. Literally. After having to wait nearly an hour as I was "only a walk-in though", I at least expected nice food. No. The service is poor. Deliveries and collections take precedence over casual "walk-ins" and the customer service is dismissive and rude. Could be forgiven if decent food. DO NOT go here. DO NOT recommend. Unless you enjoy staring at your lavatory bowl for over an hour. Nearly as long as the time I was expected to wait.

One of the best Chinese take aways in Retford. Good value as poetiind are always reasonable. Starter offer is good value for money. Worth calling ahead to order as they are always busy. A good sign I think.

Okay I asked for chicken Hong Kong style, she gave me big fired piece of chicken? Wft lol I reckon there's bit more then just the chopping going of back there lakeeen 😂

Messed my order up tonight. Gave me blackbean sauce instead of the black pepper sauce I asked for I even double checked that the right one had been put down. I didn't realise their mistake untill I'd got home and put it on a plate with my other food. The whole lot had to go in the bin. It was to far to go back and complain with kids in tow. They also missed my coke off so all in all I've just throw £22 straight in bin.

Sólo tenía un precioso para llevar como el que solemos usar no está abierto los lunes. Me alegro tanto de haberlo hecho, ya que ahora será asiduos, jeje. Delicioso. El arroz frito con ajo es obligatorio ☺ y llegó en menos de 40 minutos, bien caliente.

We tried lucky days for the first time tonight and we was very disappointed :( the food was cold and the duck had a very bad smell to it the rice had no flavour at all.. we can definitely say this will also be our last visit :( shouldn't even put 1*

Just came our of hospital and my lovely and thoughtful partner got a Chinese in, she decided on luckys as she's never tried it before, Kung po special was tasty and with that little kick, prawns however in it was just mush, chicken in satay sauce was good, the rice was good despite we asked for fried and got boiled egg rice, beansprouts was lovely, the aromatic crispy chicken however was the winner by a mile, give it a go, was beautiful..... All in all very satisfied

Just had a takeaway for four from Lucky Days and it was delicious. The Chile beef and special chow mein was exceptionally good. The king prawn in black bean sauce had a larger amount of succulent prawns. Really good value for money and excellent service from the young lady behind the counter.

Nice food, menu ok but would like to see some more traditional dishes on which don't seem to be available anywhere in Retford for some reason. Sometimes it could do with being hotter

Get the salt and chilli chips, they are to die for! Never had a bad takeaway from here, delivery is prompt.

The title says it all - the best Chinese Takeaway in town! I've been using it for years. I've tried ALL the others - & there are plenty for a small town - but this is the best.

Poor quality compared to the competition. It's a great shame , this used to be my number 1, change of ownership, and things have changed, Freds on grove street is.now my choice

This used to be the best Chinese in Retford but has recently gone downhill, try Fred's instead, that's the best one now

First the order was all wrong they did not want to correct it food was awful worst chinese in retford never go again

first take out from l days asked for shreaded beef honey and ginger got crispy and because of that couldnt taste beef but beef chow mein nice good flavours overall

Don't waste your money! Tasted like chemicals, it was greasy and the meat was like cardboard! Very bad!

Lovely takeaway. Probably one of the top two in Retford i would say. Its a really nice little place with great staff and a lovely menu. The delivery and service is quick and efficient and you never have any issues.

You can find better takeaways in Retford than this, and the woman in there just does not SHUT UP!!!!!!!!

Very impressed with the quality of the food, and nice a more imaginative menu than many of their competitors. Well worth a visit!

Revisted several times since my initially favourable review, things have changed for the worse. Items either didn't match the description [fried rice]; was alternately greasy or dried up to the point of dessication [pork balls], or was little more than gristle [beef]. The chicken in one dish had what can only be described as a most peculiar texture. The usual staff have been absent on each visit, so it is possible that there are new proprietors. Lucky Days has gone from what was arguably the best and most popular Chinese restaurant in town, to what may be the worst and is most certainly no longer the most popular. Regretatbly this is now one to avoid.

Popular, well established Chinese takeaway. Wide menu, with all the usual dishes on offer at reasonable prices. Service is quick and attentive.
