Wonderful takeaway . Very tasty and one of the few takeaways that were warm when got home .

As Ocean pearl are not on JustEat, i often forget about them. Easily the best quality chinese food in town. I shall make this my go to for chinese in future! Smoked shredded chicken was very good, the sweet crispy chilli chicken was great too. Fast delivery time despite ordering at peak time on a friday night.

I had a takeaway and it was very nice. Great ribs!

They send a complimentary bag of prawn crackers regardless of dietary requirements or allergies. Not suitable for vegans either.

We ordered a takeaway. Told me it would be about 45mins. 15mins later it turned up It was so nice . Had duck to start with then the crispy chill chicken. So nice,

Ordered due to the large selection of vegetarian options. Food was poor quality, with the tofu orders coated in inedible jelly like coating. Had to throw most of it away unfortunately

Shame they don't do dine in anymore. Takeout is good though.

Rang up to order from the menu on the website asked for set meal for 2 which is £19 on the web site to be told its now £24 so well out off date £5 difference not realy acceptable to be so far wrong

Got takeaway from here for the first time recently with chicken noodle soup , salt & pepper spicy chips , chow Mein , special fried rice & spring rolls , food was ok reasonably priced

Most delicious duck I have ever had. I ordered many times from here and the food was always fresh and tasteful. Also green curry is amazing. Delivery time is within 30 minutes.

Amazing food, amazing service! I don't eat meat but my partner does and the variety for both of us is amazing! I called the restaurant ahead to query some allergen information and the lady I spoke to was so nice and gave me all the information I needed. The food arrived so quickly and the taste is unmatched! I haven't had vegan duck and this was the best! Not a scrap was left ❤️ 10/10!!!! 5* will defintiely be ordering again!

This is by far the best Cantonese style food that I have tasted, not only is everything home made(sauce's) the ribs just fall off the bone and the chow mein is the best in Worksop and surrounding areas.

Duck and chichen is not good for vegetarian. Vegeterians don't eat meat!

Never had a bad meal from here. The staff are helpful and friendly and happy to help. Good knowledge of gluten implications, only issue if anything is the portion size of the chips which seems to have reduced, that said, they always add in some prawn crackers 😋

We ordered a vegetarian set menu and a set menu B as a takeaway. All of the dishes were tasteless and mushy, and we ended up throwing it away. After having to wait for over an hour for the food to arrive, we were very disappointed with the quality. We will not be ordering from there again.

I'd never been before. I arrived before my friends and had to wait a what to be seen as someone was placing a large order. We were shown to out seats and opted for the set menus at a special price. The food was really lovely the only issues we had was it was quite cold so coats were kept on by some of us or put on after the food. Also the table next to us filled up and as the waiter was serving them he kept bumping into my friend or she had to physically move out of his way.

Great visit. Food piping hot, tasty and not a hint of grease. Would definitely recommend this place. Very chilled.

Food doesn't do any justice to what we ordered. Very poor quality. The menu prices online are outdated and are much higher in the restaurant. I won't even give a one star rating. I won't recommend it to anyone.

We took a large group of 20 for the week night banquet. Good selection of starters and choose you own main. Food came out at the same time and was all nice and hot. Our veggies were well catered for too.

Went last night My friend had chicken fried rice which had no taste the chicken did not taste like chicken . The texture and taste was like processed meat and it didn't even look like chicken. My Chicken foo yung was bland and tasteless also the food was luke warm. Years ago the food was nice but after last night we won't be going back.

Lovely 20th birthday party here

Visited here with family one Saturday. The decor of the restaurant is very tired and dated. We sat in the window which meant we were by the door, which wasn’t the best spot. We all went for the banquet meal. The orders were taken very properly. The starter platter was really nice. Delicious ribs, prawn toast, seaweed, chicken and spring rolls. The quantity of seaweed wasn’t enough for six people. The duck course came next which I didn’t eat but again the servings weren’t matched up for six people, the salad was tiny as was the plum sauce, not enough to feed our group and that was with one of us not having the course after all. The mains were all quite tasty and plenty of rice. We liked the lazy Susan for the table which was handy. The service was a little poor, nobody collected used glasses so we had to pile these up in the windowsill, when staff brought fresh drinks they ignored the unclear empty ones we had to ask for these to be cleared eventually. One of the draft beers went off after two drinks, this came back on shortly but the staff never mentioned this to us, they did apologise. Ordered a Chinese beer and brought the wrong one, staff member apologised again. Diet Coke was served in a can which was warm. Soft drinks quite small in size. Had an irritating loud party seated next to us which wasn’t the restaurant’s fault, but it was a bit of a nuisance spoiling the atmosphere. The food was nice here but based on the service and atmosphere I wouldn’t return.

Had another excellent meal again food was hot only one thing music in background bit depressing and Xmas song apart from that very good as usual good service wel be back.

Excellent meal, excellent service, excellent value. The best value in a 30 mile radius

We had the banquet meal which consisted of a mixed platter starter which was huge followed by crispy duck then a main dish of your own choice with stir fried rice. You can also have a desert or hot drink. All for a very reasonable price. This would be great if the food lived up to the same but the duck was so dry and over cooked and all the sauces on the various dishes were glupey. Service was very good but it wasn’t at all busy for a Friday evening. I wouldn’t rush back.

A hidden gem... Try the banquet... Terrific value for money, food outstanding. I can't believe they weren't packed out.

Staying locally for a weekend break. Came across this restaurant and decided to give it a try. What a little gem. Such an unassuming little place, but food and value were 2nd to non. Service was great. Try the banquet, such terrific value. Just wish I could move this place nearer to my home town.

Excellent food and staff are very welcome

I recently went to the Ocean Pearl for a meal with a group of friends. We all had the banquet meal which has a number of courses. As the only non-meat eater in the group in some places that means I have to have a completely different meal but not in this case. I was able to have a banquet with my friends but with foods I could eat. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was prompt and hot and fresh. I have no doubt that as soon as we are all free we’ll be back.

The duck should have been shredded and was extremely dry and crunchy, the menus needed a good wipe. The service was ok but our first fizzy drinks were warm and the single cube of ice didn't last long. There was the hose from the air-conditioning unit sticking out of the front door as you entered the establishment, we'll not be calling here again. At least the cost of the food wasn't high 🤔

Got a home delivery ended up paying £20 for chips and egg fryed rice got half of my order rong items missing and had to send the other half back as it was disgusting think it might of been cooked the month before

We were recommended this place by a friend so decided to give it a go and glad we did.it was nicely decorated for a small place and the food and service was really good.not much into Chinese food but it was a nice change..I really enjoyed the different little starters they had..****

Fantastic food and polite staff

We found this place by chance on a recent trip to Worksop. Despite not having booked our family were found a place which was lucky as not long after we arrived the place was full. The menu was extensive and the food plentiful and of good quality. Got chatting with the manager who was friendly, as were the staff. We expected it to be a lot more expensive than it was, which was a pleasant surprise. One of the best Chinese meals we have had, and we have a lot! We will definitely go again if in the area.

We ate here on a Sunday evening. We ordered the set meals as there were 7 of us with a couple of extra dishes. If you prefer you can order a la carte or take advantage of the all you can eat option. The food was excellent without being particularly adventurous. Chinese beer is available to wash it all down. We will no doubt eat here again if we are staying nearby.

Only had takeaway delivered and staff were great taking order, didn’t have too long to wait for delivery, and lad that delivered was friendly. The food was hot, tasty and really enjoyed it, will definitely order again

We have a takeaway from here now and again . The beef and chicken curries are very good although could do with a little less onion and more mushrooms. Some of the other dishes are a bit bland .

Visit here has its close to the hotel , the staff are welcoming and helpful but the place falls below my standard in which I mean table cloth , napkins all the little bits that makes a restaurant. Soup in plastic bowl and the same about the spoon. Knives and fork ... not on the table just chop sticks which not everybody can use but you don’t get asked.

Got to be one of the worst Chinese meals I've had. The spare ribs were just that. Mostly bone. Sesame toast greasy. The beef had died of old age. All bland and uninteresting.. I did however enjoy a glass of sparkling water.

Thought we would try somewhere new little did we know.... the rice was sticky and the chicken balls were soggy and not warm tasted like it off the buffet also forgot some of our food and didn't even get an apology such a shame won't be going back again much better Chineses around Worksop

Fancied a Chinese meal & after a web search of local restaurants we found the Ocean Pearl. On their website was the 'all you can eat buffet' at £12 per person. We thought we'd give a it a try & was glad we did because it was excellent. The food was cooked fresh upon ordering & delivered quickly to our table. No restaurant car park but this was the only downside we found. Will be visiting again soon.

Fuimos con la familia, la comida era barato y alegre, pero sabroso y fresco, hubiera sido un 4 estrellas pero que han bajado el Nido de Pájaros, que era la de gambas plato asesino.

Una vez más una visita basada en comentarios como no sé la zona o los restaurantes. El restaurante no es enorme, y creo que eso es positivo, pero lo suficientemente grande para no sentir en absoluto agobiante. Tuvimos un menú fijo que venía con una excelente selección de aperitivos, muy bueno. La red también eran excelentes - muy sabroso y caliente. Era un viernes por la noche y no había tanta gente, pero en general una excelente comida. Creo que el menú de memoria precio fijo era de alrededor de 12 libras. 99 / 13. 99 (primero. ). Por este precio vs la calidad de la comida, es difícil de superar.

Estado de pearl ocean muchas veces a lo largo de los años, siempre tuvimos la elección popular de banquetes. El Sábado no fue diferente, comida era agradable como de costumbre. Sin embargo, estaba un poco molesto por el servicio recibido, me sentí muy apresurado por el personal, aunque no estaba tan lleno. Apenas un plato comido y el otro llegó.

We have had banquet many times by takeaway.....but tonight it was awful prawn toast,springrolls,seaweed was all crammed into one plastic carton...resulting in a mess YUK.....crispy duck !!!! Was all dried up not fit to eat went straight in the bin along with the other starters ....We have been customers for a long time ...I rang to let them know ...was offered 10% of next order.... thanks but no thanks ...will not be a next order

Me and my family went To the ocean pearl last night and we enjoyed our evening there. The only fault with the restaurant is the drinks are slightly warmer than they should be but we still definitely recommend this restaurant.

I used to work up here and visited twice a week. I took the opportunity of visiting again yesterday with my daughter while on a trip with her. Both enjoyed the meal and it lived up to its previous quality.

We visited Ocean Pearl tonight for our valentines meal. We were seated at our table, which was set out really lovely with a candle, a heart balloon, a heart decoration and a heart napkin...made us both smile. We ordered from the valentines menu... £14.99 for 3 courses and a drink at the end...which is a really good price...so we were sure what to expect. The food came out and was so tasty. We had a starter of ribs, seaweed, spring rolls and prawn toast. Then we had aromatic crispy duck and the main was sweet and sour pork, chicken in black Bean and beef Cantonese style. Again it was really nice and far too much for us to eat! So we definitely got our money's worth. The girls and the gentleman serving us were really polite and made sure we and everything was ok. To top it all, when we paid, I was given a rose!! Such a lovely touch. We would most definitely visit there again and would not hesitate to recommend it to others! Thank you very much.

Stranger on each visit , this time the owners children were playing in the restaurant it self ? Bit annoying when wanting a peaceful meal. I had to sit near the door so I was not in the way. Ordered a pint which was warm and flat. Food is always good the place just requires some money spending on it !! Simple things like getting rid on the cheap paper table covers .

New Years Eve Great food and great service. Really enjoyed it.

I have been eating at ocean pearl for years, the staff 6/7 years ago were lovely, this unfortunately has changed slightly. They are still pleasant however don't have the best people skills. The food: although is lovely, the past few times myself and family have eaten in the restaurant we have had diharroea and sickness however, the takeaway was amazing and we had no problem. We do order from here around once/twice a month and its always a good meal.

Family visit with 3 generations. We didn't reserve a table but we were fortunate enough to be seated. The service was quick and the staff were pleasant enough. The food was lovely, we all had the banquet meal and although I have notice the portion sizes drop for the starter over the years it's still good value for money. My only worry was how they fitted the baby seat to the chairs- there are no high chairs available so a booster seat is strapped to the chair but due to the chair covers they're not on very securely so I had to hold onto it for the duration of the meal my 9 month old is very energetic! She enjoyed tasting vegetables and rice and the staff were very understanding of the mess she made!It's a lovely place to go on a budget and get a good and tasty meal. Rx

Not the prettiest place but good food!

I've been going here for years and I like their food and their prices. The Ocean Pearl has been here for as long as I can remember, prob 30+ years and that in itself tells you how good it is. It's not posh, or very big but super value and great food.Mid week banquet is fab and approx £10, can't go wrong!Easy parking opposite at rear of cinema, staff are very polite and helpful, great food, great prices.

Visited on a works leaving do bout 17 of us food was average drinks was extortionate to say most of them was poured out of supermarket bottles and they hardly had any choice. Main meal was cold in middle, so chose to not eat it my friend was so violently ill that night would deffinately not return. Not advisable for large parties they are not able to staff it.

We ordered a takeaway to be delivered to our home. Just to clariy our dealings with Ocean Pearl takeaways, until today they have been brilliant. I don't know whether the chefs have been changed or the management have gone too sleep. We ordered hors d'oeuvres, sweet and sour pork and a portion of boiled rice. Not exactly taxing on any cooking establishment. The hors d'oeuvres came packed in one box which set alarm bells ringing. As they used to be packed into two or three boxes. The outcome was that the green seaweed leeched into the prawn toast and spring rolls. The worst was yet to come. Sweet and sour pork with boiled rice used to be a briliant meal!. The pork came in a plastic container mixed in with sweet and sour sauce and vegetables? This resulted in the batter being soggy and inedible, also the pork was all fat and gristle, not something I want to eat. Phoned the Ocean Pearl to complain and was told that this was the way they cooked sweet and sour pork now.The young man offered me £10 off our next order, I tried to explain that if this is the way they cook and package their takeaway meals then, keep your £10. As if I didn't enjoy your cooking when I paid for it, why would I enjoy it when I wasn't paying.I think it's fair to say I will never be order anything from this restaurant again!If the owners wish to contact me about this review they know have my contact details.

Very good lovely service really quick service amazing food really good staff. All around amazing I rate it four and a half only a half less due to the toilets could be a bit more decorated but generally incredible
