The Best place for Vegan food in Wellingborough! They have a great vegan Mac and cheese and awesome customer service! We Love this Place

Asian Slaw! Who knew? With shredded ginger and the occasional chilli slice! The clusters of bulbous nerve endings on my tongue and in the lining of the mouth which provide the sense of taste, are unofficially BLOWN!! We visited a few days ago and sampled the Salad Plate, so impressed that we repeated the 6 mile (return) Stanage Edge to Hathersage walk just to try them again! And... not disappointed, this time our salad included orzo with mushrooms! We shared a Biscoff slice. Outside seating, so we can enjoy the sunshine and beautiful Hathersage. The proprietor was fun and friendly, the staff were efficient and genial. I drank a large chilled latte, my partner had one of those posh fizzy drinks.

First time in Edwinstowe so came here based on the reviews and mention of dog friendliness. Both were spot on. Food is slightly above standard pub food prices but you're more than getting what you're paying for in quantity and quality. All the family came away very happy and wanting to go back again in future. Only downside is that we've been coming to the Sherwood Center Parcs for years and missed so many opportunities to come here instead of the chain restaurants in there! Won't make that mistake again!

Friendly staff. Photos are poetic in licence. Carpark is small. Pub is tiny and looked dirty. Food was offered but due to the state of the place decided to leave and stay elsewhere. However after leaving this review I received a rather not nice response by text message from the owner of the pub, Jackie. So in response I will say that if you do not like my negative review Jackie then perhaps you should take note and clean up your business. These reviews are to give other people/potential customers a chance to get insight into the establishment to make an informed decision on whether it is a suitable place to use. I will not lie on a review as that would not help anyone.

Such an underrated restaurant in Leicester! I cannot rave more about this place! Myself and my boyfriend came here after all other restaurants were too pricy and had strange menus for pizza (I’m looking at you zizzis) I was blown away by the portions and the large pepsi was… HUGE!! £12 pizza being that tasty and budget friendly… is unheard of. We also had amazing servers, and when one of them didn’t inform us about a shortage in stock for our pizza - they offered to change the pizza and gave us a complimentary cookie ice cream sandwich to apologise. Love this place. WILL go again! 11/10

We sadly lost a family member and contacted the Black Horse to host the wake. From point of contact with Josh to the actual event, was dealt with professionally and with sympathy. On the day it went smoothly and we were welcomed warmly. We were taken care of the entire time and the buffet that was laid out for us was beyond expectations. Even with a late add on of numbers, which was despite the lateness not a problem. The supply of constant tea and coffee was welcomed by our guests. Cannot fault or thank the team enough for their attention and care of our family in a difficult time.

I recently went to Leicester for a meeting and was looking for a nice burger place to eat. Someone recommended Burger Base, and it turned out to be the best decision I've made. The staff were friendly and recommended some great dishes. The burgers were amazing—juicy, freshly prepared, and bursting with flavours. The loaded fries were the star of the meal, absolutely delicious. It's a halal burger place, which is a great plus. Overall, the food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend Burger Base for anyone craving a top-notch burger experience in Leicester.

We visited for our silver wedding anniversary as part of our holiday in the area, to say we were blown away by the meal wouldn’t do it justice, from the minute we walked through the door we were welcomed with open arms. We sat at the bar and had a drink while looking at the menu and we mentioned it was our anniversary. When we were shown to our table we were surprised with heart sprinkles 🥰 such a lovely touch. The food was out of this world, I had garlic prawns to start and pollo masala, hubby had mussels followed by fillet steak, there was nothing to criticise at all, food was mouthwatering. Managed to find room for pudding, I’d highly recommend the brownie and hubby would recommend the cheese board with port. The staff were polite and smiling from start to finish, just wish we lived closer so we could return with friends.

A great little restaurant which is very popular so you do need to book. Lovely ambience and great service. While the menu is not extensive it has something for everyone and the food is delicious and well presented.

Good food, great prices, friendly and helpful staff who go out of their way to help. We have been here many times and definitely will be back!

FANTASTIC AGAIN!!! Love this restaurant. The food is amazing the staff are friendly, attentive and go out of their way to answer any questions or accomodate you in any other way they can. It was my sisters birthday and they secretly put a sparkling candle on her pudding and brought it out for her. She was delighted 🤩. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 🩷
