The King's Head in East Lindsey

Christmas 2024. Absolutely ACE! I stayed in the room, and my parents were in their campervan. It was parked up in the pub car park, with electric hookup, we initially booked for 2 nights, but enjoyed it so much, we ended up staying an extra night. The accommodation was fantastic, comfortable bed, beautiful ensuite room, tea/coffee facilities, fridge, wardrobe, TV, and not forgetting, the hot tub. The food was excellent, and plentiful, no way was I going to starve. Phil, & Jacqui, were brilliant hosts, they really couldn't do enough for us, we were made to feel so comfortable, and welcome, it was like spending Christmas with family. Just back from staying at the Kings Head, Threadlethorpe near Mablethorpe. Stayed Monday night and Tuesday night. Lovely experience. Jackie was the perfect host. We ate in the thatched 16th century pub with a warm and cosy bar. And on the 2nd night we had the unique experience of sharing a table with Jackie and her partner, Phil, Reese and his partner, other guests and not forgettingLuna the dog. What a lovely evening we enjoyed with superb food, company and sharing experiences and stories. The home cooked food was absolutely delicious- a highly recommended stop- electric hookups and spotlessly clean toilets available 24hrs.

Friendly staff. Photos are poetic in licence. Carpark is small. Pub is tiny and looked dirty. Food was offered but due to the state of the place decided to leave and stay elsewhere. However after leaving this review I received a rather not nice response by text message from the owner of the pub, Jackie. So in response I will say that if you do not like my negative review Jackie then perhaps you should take note and clean up your business. These reviews are to give other people/potential customers a chance to get insight into the establishment to make an informed decision on whether it is a suitable place to use. I will not lie on a review as that would not help anyone.

I camped on site. The hosts are fantastic very friendly just like meeting a long lost friend. I never ate there but the food coming out of the kitchen looked delicious and plentiful. Real Ale served as well. I'm deffo going back.

Campervan friendly site. The hosts are absolutely brilliant. A warm welcome and a hug. Food was excellent. Will definitely visit again.

Great pub, have some cracking times in here but if the beer reaches a fiver a pint I'm taking the glass home 😁

Just had a meal at the King's head, very good quality and value for money. All staff very welcoming and will be returning when in mablethorpe.

I can honestly not do more to recommend these wonderful people and their establishment - we booked in advance and they were ready to greet us and the dog, recommended some excellent ales and we had a first class meal seated in the snug and cosy lounge. Peaceful night in the car park with 24hr toilets and a water tap. Absolutely amazing!

We stayed over in our csmpervan and the landlady Jackie could not have been more welcoming. The food was delicious and although no draught beer plenty of bottles or spirits to choose from. Would highly recommend it.

Fabulous food, very lovely team and great camping- dogs had a great time on the beach- definitely going again.

Had a great two days at the Kings Head. Jacki, the landlady, couldn’t do enough for us. She went the extra mile on numerous occasions. Food was excellent, plentiful and at reasonable prices. Good walks to the beach about 2 miles away. Very dog friendly place and area. We and Benji our dog can’t wait to revisit later on in the year. Thanx for a lovely time!!

Stayed there in my motorhome for 2 nights. Ate in the pub both evenings,food was delicious and plentiful portions. Landlady was lovely and a fabulous host. Gorgeous thatched roof Inn dating back to 1628,so full of history. Fantastic place and lovely location. Definitely recommend

We only stopped off for a drink but they were very friendly and accommodating.

Had such a good weekend for my friends birthday at the kings head inn. Jackie and Phil are the most excellent hosts and made our time there memorable. Food is amazing and she always makes such an effort to cater for everyone’s needs, nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be returning didn’t want to leave, feel like you become part of the family. This is definitely the place to go👌🏼😩

Had a fabulous weekend at The Kings Head. Food is superb & plenty of it. Jackie & Phil are excellent hosts, nothing is too much trouble, they go above & beyond. If you want fantastic food & great company then this is the place to go. Will definitely be returning 👌👌

Brilliant New Years eve here, Jacqui went above and beyond putting on an excellant spread and making sure all needs were met, great to be able to use EHU

Stunning old building. Bar man was friendly and helpful and when we discovered no veggie options, he sent the chef out to us to make us something to our liking. Fabulous, personal service.

Excellent meal in cosy surroundings. Would definitely recommend and we will go again.

Had a fantastic weekend away with our campers Jackie was so welcoming made you feel like you'd none her for year's, a very lovely lady who went out of her way lovely food charming place would highly recommend.

Stayed overnight in campervan,Jackie the landlady very helpful nothing to much trouble,will be going here again.

Picture perfect, thatched roof, olde worlde pub… fabulous quiet location but within 10 mins drive to Mablethorpe and 5 mins to beach. Clean comfy rooms available, parking for mobile homes with hook-up if required. Small bar with plenty of choice and a delicious menu always cooked to perfection.. Owners are easy going and welcoming with a ready smile. Lovely grounds with benches to enjoy alfresco food/drinks. And some friendly felines offer a floofy welcome too.

Lovely little pub ran by Jackie. Was greeted by her and given a history of the lovely building! The cats are a lovely addition to the property, will definitely be coming back! Food is lovely, car park, lovely selection of bottled drinks and ciders. Fully recommend!!

Pub is closed no one answers phone

Excellent quality food at a reasonable price. No draft beer only bottles at £6 a bottle we thought was a little excessive. Unfortunately one customer thought it was ok for their dogs to annoy customers and jump up at the tables.

Fabulous little stopover - food was delicious and fresh - owners were amazing hosts - one of the best pub stopovers I’ve ever had - definitely coming back !!

Travelled there, only to be told they were not doing food that night, nothing on website!!!

That’s what Friday night’s are for, beautiful thatched pub with great food and beer. Thai green curry and Sticky toffee pudding to die for. Thank you Jackie for your hospitality. See you next year. Margaret, Almeric, Jenny and Steve.

The food is delicious, mains and puddings at reasonable prices. And bar prices not bad either. Staff are lovely and friendly and our party of 5 had a lovely time tnight.

Excellent service, very welcoming and friendly. We went for food and a special meal was cooked for our son which was delicious. Our dog was also welcome and even given two sausages which went down very well and very fast 😀 😃😃.

The food was really nice but more importantly the service was excellent. Dogs are allowed and the lady even gave our dog a drink and a sausage so he also rates it 5 stars. Portion sizes were good and the restaurant is set in a quiet area. Recommended.

I cannot fault the place. The food is to die for including adjusting meals off or away from the menu to your taste. Our first day Monday and I've have booked 'til Friday but it was a tad cold for my bint and we discovered the Axe & Cleaver.
