Excellent service and very friendly staff. We enjoyed our cheese and ham ciabbata and loved sitting in the sunshine in the back room. Well worth a visit to this lovely village watering hole.
The best roast in the south hams! The pub is really lovely and cosy and the staff are fantastic. We had one of the best roasts we’ve ever had! And the sticky toffee pudding is amazing. Cannot recommended this pub enough 🙂
We're local, within walking distance, and went to celebrate a birthday. We all had a variety of dishes and every one was cooked to perfection, with plenty available. The staff were very helpful and service was very good. Even though we'd had plenty we still sampled the desserts, again all different. And again all excellent with plenty available. Would recommend the ship with its good selection of main courses and desserts, friendly staff and very efficient. Thanks again team ship.
Came in on valentines with the other half. Warm and cosy environment, lovely welcoming staff. The food was delicious and everything was properly home-cooked. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!
Ordered dinner time take away. Sorry but pad Thai dry and poor flavour. Beef panang over cooked beef . Starters were ok but only ok. Few other issues but average at best for me. Experienced Thai food lover and paid good money for very average food.
There are so many positive things I want to say about Twenty Seven, it's hard to fit them all into a short review. The atmosphere , the service and the food are all unparalleled. Each dish had an expertly balanced
brew of flavours that represent a refinement of food years in the making. Clean, elegantly plated courses making it a food experience worth travelling for, and a must if your visiting Devon.
Best pub food I've had in a long time!
Lovely relaxing atmosphere and delicious food. What more could you want.
I came her with my siblings after a recommendation from my sister who had a been a few weeks prior and highly rated it. We had a three course meal which did not disappoint! Started with the beetroot and goats cheese which tasted fresh and delicious. Then the beef shin pie which looked on the smaller side but it was packed with flavour and actually more than enough. The chocolate delice pudding was to die for! Full of flavour and chocolate yum! The sugary pecans were a bonus. The presentation of the food was that out of masterchef which made the food even more delectable.
If you're a foody I'd highly recommend eating here. The price is slightly higher but they use local ingredients which is cooked to the highest standard, so happy to pay a bit more for quality produce.
I'll live locally so will definitely be back soon. Thanks for a lovely evening.
